Shiotaro Yuki
#1
Character name: Shiotaro Yuki

Character source: Original

Character history: Prior to Omniverse, in her own realm of things, Yuki was what was known to be the Champion of Winter. She existed in a realm where an entire Pantheon ruled over the world in its entirety and with them were a single mage chosen or created within their element to aid them. Yuki served the primal god of water in this realm, known as Aquis.

Early on, Yuki had the issue of being diagnosed with Chronic Leukemia. To bypass this, she studied a hybridized form of haemomancy and cryomancy, involving freezing of blood to strengthen her bones and clot her vessels. As she dove deeper into more advanced forms of hydromancy and cryomancy, she learned to transmute her flesh into her respective element. Her time serving her god was cut short from the former Avatar of Bloodshed's doing. She inherited Aquis' power and became the new goddess of water, setting certain faults of Aquis' straight and continuing rule of the aquatic doamin with the former Avatar of Bloodshed at her side as her new Champion of Winter.

Several hundreds upon thousands of years ran smoothly with little to no war occurring between gods of them pantheon. That peace, however, had dulled many of the gods' awareness of each other's dangers. A massive war broke, starting so quickly that many causations were tossed around as the reason the war began. Few gods stayed out and the world itself was dying out from the massive murders and damages of the clashing deities. The god of death underwent a new name and began working as an assassin, taking out major gods who could pose a threat with their abilities and any potential warriors who were just as dangerous as the god they served. Yuki's Champion of Winter was no exception to this factor and his death lead to her entering to find the one to commission such a task. The God of Death himself snapped out of his alternative persona when one attempted to get him involved by requesting the death of the Goddess of Life, the commissioner not knowing the assassin was the very person they wanted, and murdering the commissioner. The god of death himself went to the god of magic in attempts to spare the divines who stayed out of the war, including Yuki for her joining was late and reason was under his actions.

Regardless of the few who were spared or not, the world itself was dying, or rather close enough to dead to try again. As the world itself ended, all the lost lives were sent to an afterlife realm known to be the Pure Lands, where all who have died and did not have their souls re-enter the world would come. Several eons would pass before some souls vanished, and others fading and the world they left completely barren and abandoned. It is unknown what has happened to their souls after they leave the Pure Lands. Rumour says they enter a renewed world they could call home, others say they ventured off further than what the cosmos could offer them. It is unknown when Yuki left the Pure Lands, why, and how, but now she's found herself here.. In some... Other kind of world to explore, and back to her former state before apotheosizing.

Starting Moves: [Total: 600]
  • Morphing Jewelry [Physical Strength for all variants]
  1. Scimtar [300]
  2. Barbed/Hooked Chains [300]
The jewelry itself is composed of pure Arcana essence molded into the form of a metallic accessory and accented with a gemstone of a corresponding colour to the respective element of the wearer. In its unused state, it is in the form of any wearable accessory from a bracelet to earrings to a necklace or anklet. The piece itself has no definite mass, but only shifts into specific forms within reason. Aesthetically, Yuki's is silver metalloids and decorated with blue opals or sapphires. Despite its build being arcana magic, it cannot be used for elemental purposes (for example, frost damage), and can only be broken apart by arcana magic where it is then reduced into a liquid of pure essence.

The jewelry itself can morph into a scimtar, a curved blade with a single jag on its spine. This particular one is of a chromatic silver colour, the belly engraved in filigree and accented with blue opals.

The secondary form her jewelry takes is in a series of chains that are barbed and hooked all around the links and used for grasping and shredding whatever it brushes against when thrown. They are completely silver in colour without decoration, though some barbs may be composed of sapphire.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. I do.

Where did you find us? Warren told me of this site. Then I realized you are affiliated with another board I am on.

What's the size/dimensions of the scimitar?

Can you describe the chains further? I'm having a hard time telling what you mean. Is it a net or something?

The scimtar is the size of a regular scimtar.

The chains themselves look like a chain string itself but with one or two barbs on each link and a barbed hook at the ends. It's not a net, and can be thrown like a rope or a whip.

The size/dimensions are the same as a regular scimtar. I wasn't planning to deciate from their average sizes.

The chains are not a net. They can be cast or thrown like a rope or a whip, as they are simply chains linked together in a string. Each chain link has one or two barbs each and a hook at the end the chain. The barbs are randomized with "material" (metal or gem).

I apologize for the double (triple?) posting but I forgot to include the dimensions:

Scimatar Length is 33 inches and the width is 4,5 inches.

The chain length is about 3 metres

Ah, alright. It was the "hooked all around the links" bit that confused me. How many chains are there in all? Seems like you might be implying two, but "series" is kinda vague. Also, can the forms be used concurrently, or does it shift fully from scimitar to chain? How long does it take to change forms?

Be sure to note next to the various forms which powers or proficiencies they draw from.

The chains are a single thing at 3 metres each (per piece of jewelry). I'm more than likely going to use one or two chains at a time though. The items shift into each other but it's either fully chain or fully scimitar. The scimitar is meant to be for close combat and the chains for long range. When I'm saying a series of chains, I'm referring the the links used to make the chain. I'm thinking it takes a few seconds to change the item, but if it takes a minute or two to switch its forms, that's fine too I suppose? I think both would require physical strength to use? If the chains also use Area Attack proficiency, I can save to buy that for later.

Just for sake of clarity, how many pieces of jewelry does she have on-hand at a time? And a few seconds to change forms is fine.

Both of the forms listed above only require Physical Strength. I'd just edit that into your description and in the future include it in your Roster and in the Move Approval thread. This just makes it easier to see what you're wanting to accomplish with the move and removes ambiguity.

I was going to have her start with earrings but another staff member told me that I could have her wearing her whole set which consists of like 7-8 pieces? She won't be using more than one or two pieces at a time though (Until I can buy an alternate form that allows her to quad-wield)

-Earrings [1 pair]
-Anklets [2 total]
-Arm braces [2 total]
-Collar [1 total]

Okay, I'll get to that here in a sec.
