Changing Character: Hana Song to Blake Belladonna

Character history:
Yanked from the same universe as Ruby and Weiss of OV.
It had been a rough year. First, as their school year their leader Ruby had disappeared. The remaining members of team RWBY had spent all their resources searching for their lost leader, only to be informed that their choice was to either leave Beacon, or give up their search for Yang’s sister. Someone who had accepted Blake for whom she was without questions.

The morning after receiving the notification, Weiss was gone. Blake was furious with herself, given that she hadn’t noticed their team member leaving in the midst of night, despite her Faunus heritage. With just the two of them left, Blake and Yang decided to split their resources, Blake went to search for Weiss, and Yang left to search for Ruby. Given how Blake had previous afflictions to White Fang, and considering how much they hated Schnee’s, that was the obvious place to start her search.

After about a month into her espionage, Blake finally received a tiny teensy bit of information; Weiss had been seen in a small village, interlocked into combat, before disappearing right before her captor’s eyes. Disappeared? It seemed odd; Similar to Ruby’s disappearance even. She had just vanished without a trace from her bed. No trace was left that they could’ve picked up, no trail to follow. Could their disappearances be linked together in one way or another?

With the newly gained information, Blake decided it was time to move on from the White Fang. After all, it was only by a miracle that she had managed to spy upon the organisation as long as she had, without being discovered. Blake left for the same village that Weiss had disappeared in, in order to investigate if she could find any kind of traces, clues, or honestly anything at all related to her team’s disappearance. The faunus was getting desperate, and knew her partner was likely in a similar situation.
Sadly, even after researching the village, there was not much real information to be gained, there wasn’t anything special about the place Weiss had disappeared from, nor was there really anything else than “A girl whom disappeared in broad daylight, in front of witnesses.”.

Sadly, it had taken months for the feline faunus to find out all this, considering she had had to track down the witnesses, question them discreetly, track down the White Fang members, as well as many others.

It was time for her to contact Yang. They had agreed to meet up in a Café located in Vale, at midday. Blake sat in one of the tables outside, in front of the store, just eyeing the crowd as she sought for her partner. She had sat there for maybe twenty or so minutes, sipping a tea as she waited. Taking a sip, the girl cast her eyes into the crowd once more. And then she saw her as a rare smile spread across her visage. Setting the cup down onto its coaster, Blake lifted her hand in a greeting. As she did so, the faunus could feel something hit the back of her head, her body starting to fall as it all went dark. A waitress accidentally K.O’d her while passing behind her. She also disappears at this point.

[spoiler]Blake’s signature weapon Gambol Shroud consists of a katana like sword as well the sheath for it. The Katana part is capable of transformation much like all the RWBY weapons, and the functions are explained below, for each part and function.


Sword & Sheath

The sword and sheath are capable of functioning as a single weapon, if such is needed.
Usually Blake uses them both, dual wielding them as two separate weapons.

Sword
The sword of Gambol Shroud is a Katana-like blade with a pistol grip as well as a firing mechanism for the pistol. The sword is Blake’s main hand (right hand) weapon, and she is capable of wielding it in various ways. She often wields it reversed (Blade pointing down towards the ground.), due to her dual wielding combat style. Unlike a normal katana, the end of the blade is sharpened on both sides, terminating at the small spike on the spine of the blade.
The sword has a strong ribbon attached to the bottom of the hilt. (Not shown in the picture.)
This ribbon is wrapped around her right arm, and is capable of extending for approximately 10 meters at best.

Sheath
The sheath has a sharpened edge, and contains a cutout portion designed as a handle, so that it can be used as a cleaver-like sword, for heavier hitting attacks, than what just the katana-like sword would be able to deliver. It is also, so that Blake may at will dual wield them in combat situations.

Pistol
The katana-like sword of Gambol Shroud, can be transformed into a pistol. The transform is initiated by pulling back the slide, when the sword is in its sword state. When it transforms, the blade first folds forward from the bottom, after which the rest of the blade folds backwards from the middle. After that, the whole blade slides backwards creating a sickle-like appearance. Finally, the piece attached to the front of the barrel, flips down and locks in place to form a longer barrel for the weapon. When in this state, it can be used as a pistol.

Chain Sickle & Hook
The double sided edge of the blade forms a sickle-like weapon when the sword is transformed into the pistol state.
With the ribbon attached to the hilt Blake can use it as a chain sickle, delivering multiple very fast and varied attacks.


When using it like this, Blake can fire the pistol to change the direction and manipulate the sickle,
allowing her to create unpredictable patterns and angles of attack. [Requires Remote Control]


Blake can also grasp objects and people with it. In the case of people, she often pulls herself towards her opponent.
It places her at risk, because much like a baseball flying towards the batter, the batter could swing at the ball and hit.
She is able to pull opponents towards herself, however it requires her to use a lot more strength,
and large/heavy people as well as objects, remain something she is not able to pull.


The weapon can also function as a grappling hook of sorts, allowing Blake to attach herself to surfaces and swing from them,
granting her a boost in both speed and mobility, as well as some extra force behind her attacks.

Requires: Area Shield Proficiency
[spoiler]Blake is capable of creating clones of herself to act as a decoy and distraction, or to avoid an attack. These clones do not move and are completely stationary after their creation. They also shatter upon taking a hit.

Creating a clone is near instantaneous. (0,5 seconds)

Blake can use a clone in different ways, mostly for them to take a hit for her. She withdraws leaving a clone behind in the same spot where she was at to take the hit in her stead.
There can only be one active at any given time, and using multiple in a rapid succession drains upon her stamina greatly.

She has also before used them as decoys, to set up traps, such as leaving a clone standing in an oblivious manner, whilst she herself is somewhere nearby, to possibly try and catch her opponents off-guard.

Blake can change the properties of the clones based on what kind of dust is loaded into Gambol Shroud. However, for now, they are simply her basic clones, and the purchases of different types of dust will come as I gather more OM.[/spoiler]

Can she shoot bullets while whipping the pistol around>?

Where can she summon the shadows? Right before her? Or at a distance from herself?

Yup, the functions sound correct to me.
Sword & Sheath (Sword is, well, sword. Sheath functions as a second sword due to the sharpened edge and such. Dual wield.)
Sword while Sheathed (Due to the sharpened edge of the sheath, it's a heavier sword.
Pistol
Chain Weapon/Kama (Whipping & Grappling hook)

Bullets while whipping it around:
I discussed about this with Minato I think. If I remember correctly, he said that the shooting the gun whilst using it as the whip, wouldn't be allowed for damage dealing, but instead for maneuvering the weapon around in a more versatile manner, allowing a better control over the weapon. So yes, she can fire the bullets, but not for damage dealing purposes. (It however obviously increases the momentum of the weapon, allowing her to grapple into stronger substances.)

Shadows:
They kind of take her place; so anywhere in her absolute immediate vicinity. (Basically right where she was, whilst she herself dodges out of the way, leaving the clone to take the hit.) The clones stay in the pose she was, when she created it.
