Fusion Fight Rewards?

As most people know, I am hosting a fusion fight event, and I knew long before starting how much work everyone would be required to put in just for a simple non-canon event. As such, I would like to ask if there's any possibility the participants may be able to receive some small OM reward; I don't want their amazing writing to go without compensation.

I may be overruled, but I am going to have to deny this. Although the idea is cool and has generated interest(Which is awesome and we appreciate having people like you on the site who bring value in other ways, like this!), but the stories are OOC and not IC. We're less inclined to give In Game Rewards for Out Of Game stories. Ideally, these fights and experiences never happened, so your player wouldn't have actually earned any OM for them. Sorry.

In my personal opinion, I'm with Sasuke here - I never signed up for the Fusion fight because I'd want OM rewards. The fight itself (being able to experience a fusion without purchasing the Power, finding a partner etc.) is a great reward, we'll all have a lot of fun, or at least I hope so, and considering how the entire thing is pulled out of nowhere in relationship to our Omniverse canons, it wouldn't feel right either.

I for one am happy to not get any OM. The fights will be their own reward ^.^

Hey sasuke, i think depending on the thing, you get like aome kind of just vanity reqard right? I remember there was some kind of sunglasses reward for the beach party thread. Not sure if this would apply at all for this situation, but that was a big OOC event. To be clear though, i wont mind having no reward, these fights are gonna be fun.

Oh wow. I wasn't around for the Beach Block Party thread. If there is a set precedent for bonus rewards for OOC events then it could be possible for this fusion event as well, however, realize that just because the beach block party got sponsored and had rewards, does not mean that this event will also get sponsored for bonuses. That call is up to staff, but I will forward this the rest of staff for consideration.

You can hand out 'vanity items' if you want, as they have IC bearing, but no OM.

Alright, thanks for the input! I'll come up with some vanity items to bring in, possibly something unique to each fusion!

I actually have an idea for the vainity item, how about off color look-a-likes of those fusion earnings from DBZ, and each earring has the owner's partner's initials?

not that I in any way have an issue with not getting OM for this, but I'll point out that there are many OOC actions already that earn OM, such as voting, and that this is similarly effort on the site. So I'm not sure just the fact it's occurring outside of the game is a good reason to totally nix the idea.
