So is anyone interested in having some real hatred going on between our characters in a long-term way? I'm looking for villains who don't mind having proper fights ie to the death/banishment with no hard feels. I think that true rivalry and competitiveness is one of the coolest things these very unique stat-based RPGs offer, and it'd be nice to have some real risk involved even if we're both planning out the story and possible outcomes. Anyone interested in this? I'm looking at you, Ganondorf, but I'm not sure whether it'd suit your Ganon since he prefers to keep his villainousness on the down-low.
Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!
I'm certain that once I take over the Dunes, it'll quickly become apparent that I'm not a nice guy.
However, as always, I'm willing to adjust my plans to incorporate others.
And I agree. Having someone to compete with is nice. I was hoping it'd be Link, but it seems he's grown disinterested with the character. I could definitely use a new antagonist.
That said, Eighteen... kind of fills that role, though in more of a secondary antagonist sort of way. And, I'll probably end up pulling her to my side in the end anyway.
I noticed the number of truly villainous characters is, while high for a roleplaying site, low. 3 villains, tons of anti-heroes and heroes. And that's only if you count Magus. Since he's really more of just a weird, confused guy, it's just me and Sinestro.
MD GEIST is openly villainous in deeds and could perform as an adversary, but I recognize his style isn't for everyone.
I just figured you were more of an antihero than anything. You don't really have any villainous plans. It's more like your just don't give fucks about killing people. Which, of course, IS villainous... but at the same time it's more of a mid-boss thing than a true villain thing.
For example, Joker likes to kill people. But, crazy as this sounds, he DOES have a plan when he does so. Even T-1000 had a plan when we was going around murdering folks.
To elaborate, I see Geist as more of a free-lance neutral party. A mercenary as it were.
Bosses need pawns, muscle, goons, etc. As someone pointed out, eventually his style will get him on the wrong end of the law, and that's fine. If we put it in D&D terms, as a personification of man's unchecked id, he's more Neutral Evil, with the briefest flashes of humanity (when his poor author can't take anymore hopelessly bleak writing). If anyone sees a niche for Geist, let me know and we'll see what we can do.
I may have a place for you, once I make a move in your direction. Ganondorf can always use more lackeys.

If I make Enel as an alt, we'll have a new villain. And he's a guy who literally believes he is god, so .... Unfortunately he'd be weak because I won't have much time to roleplay a second character.
Luckily as the admin, I have the power to create villains for everyone to face. But it gets a little sucky when it's always everyone banding together to fight the NPCs, IMO. I like to see player hatred, too. In fact, it's far more interesting because it's 'real' in a sense.

Well, fortunately for you, I hate you already.

I've settled into Link now. I'd be happy to skewer Ganondorf.

I really like theidea ofhavingan adversary,so long as we work together to make a great story. Game consequences don't bug me much, honestly haha, as long as the stuff we make is badass.

When Ganon originally mentioned that he wanted to 'kidnap' Kairi, my thoughts were that if that plot actually happened and he attempted to brainwash her (ff vi style), the subsequent results of that would lead to some bitter feelings even for one of the Princesses of Heart.
Well, my end goal is to eventually piss off all the heroes on the site and have them come to banish me and my allies. At which point, I'll work on conquering the Underverse.
