(I hope I did everything properly! I think I got a little confused at one point. .-.)

Character name: Athena Myaló (I only added the surname to distinguish her from the Greek goddess of knowledge - everyone, including herself, just calls her Athena)

Character source: That's... a bit of a long story. Let's just say she's an OC for now.

Character history: Despite appearances, Athena is not human. Rather, she is a Soul: a fraction (1/6, to be exact) of the spirit of a god from her home universe. The god's true name is unknown to her (between you and me, it's actually Kiarza): she was the one to invent the nickname "Omni" for him. She and her 5 teammates and companions - Delta, Abstract, Zamir, Kattly, and Nitrogen - each possess special abilities (also shared by their Omni). Athena, being the Soul of Mind, gradually strengthened and became accustomed to her powers over the minds of living creatures. While weak to the point of being nonexistent at first, she developed these abilities until she could completely control lesser animals, read others' thoughts (as long as they weren't consciously blocked, and since few people knew how to push her out, it was easy to glean information from the general public), send telepathic messages over hundreds of meters, and protect others from mental control.

The team of Souls spent most of their first days of existence filling out bounties across the galaxy and running from the ruthless and controlling mega-corporation Firewall, until Omni appeared to them and gave them a mission. He explained that Firewall had used blood samples to create clones of each Soul, and that by default those clones had been pushed into another dimension (or Timeline - there are a total of 3 Timelines). For reasons that Athena could never quite understand, the fact that there were two copies of each Soul trapped the universe in a paradox that would eventually result in the unraveling of all of existence. Therefore, the original Souls (Athena and her friends) had to travel to the second Timeline and kill their duplicates.

While pursuing her clone, the sadistic Baroness, in the second Timeline, Athena became trapped inside her own mind and began to lose her sanity in a figurative maze. Once she found her way out and back into the real world, to preserve her lucidity, she was forced to destroy her own eyesight. However, the ordeal gave her much greater power: she not only gained a sixth sense that all but replaced her physical sense of sight, but she could now effectively alter reality (the outcomes of attacks, usually) with her mind (although after doing so twice [without sleeping for a few hours in the interval] would cause her to pass out for several days). Once all of the clones in the second Timeline were destroyed, the Souls returned home to the first Timeline and hoped to live a more pleasant existence without constant risk of destruction. That is when the Omni from the third Timeline (the one you are all familiar with) summoned her there - here - to the Omniverse.
Just as there was no god in the second Timeline, there are no other souls in the Third. Athena is now alone in her adventures, until she finds new allies. She is not connected to this Omni the way she was to her own - this one, as far as anyone knows, has never manifested his soul outside his body.
(I'll lengthen and elaborate upon this once I post the full version in the Roster. This isn't the whole story - more of an outline.)

Physical Description: Athena appears as a human of medium height (approx. 5'4") with light skin, slightly angular features, and brown hair (to be really specific, similar to the color of walnut wood). She wears mostly brown in her clothing as well - generally some sort of long-sleeved shirt or tunic, leggings or long pants with pockets, and short boots. She always wears a long, dark brown cloak, and often has the hood up (especially if she's in a strange area around unfamiliar people). The cloak does a pretty good job of hiding Crescent Gold when in its dormant form, as the weapon is attached to her back, but the God Sword is usually visible (being too large to hide on her person), either strapped to her hip or her back (over her cloak). The last notable feature of her appearance is the black blindfold covering the badly-scarred place where she once had eyes.

Okay! Yeah, the backstory is a little wacky, but all of it was created before I even saw this site. (In the game I played with Athena, there was actually a gray silhouette character whom her team nicknamed Omni because he was omniscient and omnipotent.) Technically, the Omni here isn't exactly the same person as the Omni from Athena's world, if that helps. They're different versions. (Athena's Omni is much more sarcastic and creepy, heh.) Oh also, the move descriptions are on my page in the Roster: I shall copy them here too:

Crescent Gold:
Crescent Gold is Athena's personal high-caliber sniper-scythe. It is a transforming mechanical weapon. In its scythe state, it can either be swung around to slash at opponents with its large, curved blade (usually requiring two free hands for proper maneuverability), or have its point stabbed into the ground to provide stability and accuracy while it shoots powerful (if slow) charges. In the gun state, it fires rapid (but weaker) bullets and is small and light enough to be held up with one hand.
Cost: 900 OM

The God Sword:
The God Sword was bequeathed to Athena by her version of Omni after all of the Souls' clones were destroyed. It is large - nearly as tall and wide as Athena - and requires two hands to swing it around, but deals high damage (much of which is from impact).
Cost: 300 OM

Yeeaaaah you should go ahead and put those in here for approval. Also, you shouldn't have made that Roster before Staff Approval. You're going to need to copy all of that and repost it when you get approved here. We like to keep the beginning of each Roster identical.

It's just a little wonky for me because it seems like it's screwing around with our Canon and I'm not sure if the big man would like that.

And if the backstory won't fly, that's also fine. I can maybe brainstorm a way around it, or use a different character entirely (Queen Elsa, anyone? ).

Crescent Gold- So there's a Melee Mode, A Ranged Mode, And a charge for the range mode? How long is the charge?

The God Sword-Does it tire her out and is it a slow weapon?

The backstory might work but maybe if our Omni wasn't the "Third Timeline" instead of just taking her from the Second Timeline from your arc.

Crescent Gold: There's a melee mode, a slow-shooting powerful sniping mode (when the blade is still fully extended), and then a mode where the weapon actually folds in on itself into the shape of a gun and shoots faster.

The God Sword: Yes, it's quite slow. And using it for longer than a few strikes would probably tire her out, yeah. She prefers her scythe. (I just plan on giving the sword blast and area attacks in the future. :3)

Hmmm... well, in that case... Athena would probably PRESUME that it was the Third Timeline by drawing her own conclusions about what she knows about the shape of the universe/dimensions. It doesn't necessarily have to be actually TRUE.

Hm, okay. So looking at actual footage of the weapon being used, I got it backwards. When the weapon is stable (full-sized shooting), it's a lot faster - about 1 shot per second. However, this requires pulling the trigger mechanism several inches for each shot, which I imagine can get pretty tough on one's arm after 5-10 shots or so. When it's collapsed into gun shape, it shoots about 1 blast every 3 seconds, but they're stronger and it takes less effort on the user's part. If any of this is too powerful, I can alter it to fit the scenario better. :3 (If you want to see the thing in action, just look up Red Trailer on Youtube. ^-^)

Okay, did a bit of thinking on this one. Let's see. How about this (it's actually closer to reality, now that I'm considering it):

Athena comes from a particular version of reality (just like any of the other characters here) called the Realm of the Eclipse Phase (as opposed to the "Marvel Universe," the "Real World," places like that). This realm contains three Timelines (one sci-fi-influenced, one steampunk-influenced, and one modern-era-style), and she is "from" the first one. She is still a Soul, and there's still a god that she is a part of, but we can forget about the name Omni for that god (he never did divulge his name, real or otherwise, to the characters - IRL, I made up the name Omni just to have something to call him). Maybe she'll know him as something else, or maybe he just won't have a title at all. Additionally, he'll still look somewhat similar to Omni (he was a gray, featureless figure), but since she's blind, she wouldn't be able to tell anyway. They'll have entirely different voices, different brain signatures (she can sense those), etc. Therefore, she might compare them to each other occasionally, but there will be basically no real connection between the two of them (despite supreme power and all that, of course). Now, coming here, she probably believes that she's been sent to the third Timeline, since that's the only explanation that fits with her former notions of reality (unless she's willing to conclude that her teammates are dead, which she certainly isn't). However, I think eventually (after finding other Primes, meeting characters who had never heard of robotics in their home worlds and seeing traditional fantasy magic take place, probably) she'll come to realize that hey, she's not in Kansas anymore. This is a set of worlds completely outside of her regular realm - some people here don't even fit within any of her rules of existence. It's not the third Timeline at all. (She would actually find this quite fascinating. :p)
