Orihime Inoue
#1
Character name:
Orihime Inoue

Character source:
Bleach

Character history:
Orihime and her brother, Sora Inoue, were raised by a drunken father and a prostitute mother, who always argued and beat their children. Fearing that their parents would kill Orihime, in the March that Sora turned eighteen, he ran away with Orihime, who was three years old, and raised her on his own from then on. For nine years, Orihime and Sora lived in harmony despite the fact that Orihime was bullied in school because of her unusual hair color. One day, Sora gave Orihime a pair of hairpins. However, Orihime refused to wear them because she said they were childish. That day, Sora died, and Orihime began wearing the hairpins every day since.

After Sora's death, Orihime prayed for him every day. A year after Sora died, Orihime met Tatsuki and befriended her and the amount of days she prayed for him diminished. After entering Karakura High School, she stopped praying for him and instead talked about Ichigo before she left and when she returned from school. She wanted to show Sora that she was happy and that he did not have to worry about her. He returns as a hallow and tries to kill Orihime and Ichigo saves her which starts their journey into the world of soul reapers. She discovers soon after that she herself possessed her own powers and was captured by the villian Lord Aizen so he could take advantage of her gift. She get pulled right after Ichigo fights through wackomundo to rescue her.

Personality
Since Sora's death, Orihime has lived by herself in Karakura Town, receiving financial support from a distantly related aunt living elsewhere. Orihime is independent, friendly, humorous, sensitive, caring and kind. She comes off as naive and rather clueless, which is at odds with her exceptionally high marks in school. She tends to zone out with her mouth open and loses track of what she was thinking or dreaming about. She has an over-active imagination and gets carried away thinking of implausible scenarios, such as portraying herself as a futuristic and highly destructive robot in an assignment asking a student "How do you see yourself in the future?"
Physical Description:
[Image: https3A2F2F40.media.tumblr.com2F19c5873d...o2_500.jpg]
Orihime is a teenager, she has brown eyes and long, waist-length, burnt orange hair. Her most noticeable physical trait is her slender yet curvaceous figure for a teenager, especially in terms of her large breasts. She wears her hair in bangs tucked behind her ears with hairpins.

Stats:
ATK:1
DEF:4
SPD:1
TEC:4

Starting Proficiencies:
Ranged Proficiency- 1000
Area Shield- 400

Starting Powers:
Healing-2500

Starting Moves:
(Requires Area Shield)
Shun Shun Rikka (盾舜六花, Six Princess Shielding Flowers)- Fodder 0 OM: Orihime's spirit energy is harbored in the pair of hairpins that her brother gave her. Shun Shun Rikka is composed of six spirits. Orihime has four techniques, which use the spirits in combination with a spirit chant and the technique name. They reside in her hair-clips, which are shaped like six-petaled flowers. Each fairy is two points on a given clip when inactive.[280] Through various combinations of the six fairies, Orihime has the power to reject phenomena by denying or undoing events in various forms. This power can be used for attack, defense, or healing (depending on the combination). Orihime's determination directly influences the effectiveness of her powers. Feelings like doubt or worry make them weaker, while conviction makes them stronger.

Santen Kesshun (三天結盾, Three Sacred Links Shield)- 900 OM: is Orihime's defensive technique. It repels attacks by placing a shield between the enemy and Orihime. The incantation arranges three spirits Hinagiku, Lily, and Baigon into a triangle which has the ability to repel the "outer shield." Because the barrier rejects negative events, it can also function as an airbag of sorts, allowing Orihime and anyone else nearby to survive a potentially lethal fall unharmed. Orihime is also able to shape Santen Kesshun into a dome-shaped barrier large enough to easily hold herself and other individuals. It takes roughly half a second to activate and when Orihime chooses, the shield will either simply dissipate, or explode outwards, damaging anyone nearby at the cost of more energy.

Orihime can maintain the shield indefinitely and with relative ease, until met with opposition. The more force her defenses are met with, the harder they are to maintain and more energy it costs to do so. It's roughly 4 feet wide and 6 feet in length when in triangle form, and can hold no more than 3 people when in dome form.

Total OM Spent: 4800

I apologize for jumping the gun there. ^^;
While the rest of staff is working out your identities, let's give this a look over.

First of all, you history needs to mention getting taken by Omni, just so we know what point in your history you were snatched.

Commander Lexa Wrote:(Requires Physical Strength Prof and Debuff Prof-OM: ???)
Commander Lexa’s rapier, a weapon of old. The very hilt, of the blade is a formable foe as it is forged form the deadliest materials from the ground, undergoing nuclear warfare, its bite leaves a poisonous effect on anyone other than Lexa herself. With each blow her opponent is further and further intoxicated causing the onset of blindness, paralysis, pain, and finally death if the strikes continue long enough. The effect also wears off without constant exposure.

Hmmm, a move that gets more powerful the more times you use it? Yikes...
Well, first off, you need to make it clear if you can do stabbing damage with this move while your poisoning. Also, this needs more setbacks for balancing reasons. Gonna need to know how long the poison lasts (mind you, most battles between other PCs last 3 rounds.) Also, we'll need more detail on how many stabs you'd need. I think the penalties are a little much...
For frame of ref read this (it continues to the bottom of the page.) These are hurdles my alt character had to leap through just to have a move that slows an opponent and for half a round and a move that lowers defense for a full round. Just look that over to get an idea of what we are looking for with low level debuff moves.

Okay, I can do this!

On Commander Lexa's History, the very last sentence says:

"She is willing to do anything at all cost to be in command and right before she was taken from her world she was leading her entire army of grounders, aligned with the Sky People, on an attack against the Mountain Men, who had both of their people hostage."

So I have her being taken right before an attack on the mountain men is about to start. I plan to write about this a little in the nexus as well, but I can expand on this if you need me to, just let me know!

As for the weapon move, let me see if this is better:

"Commander Lexa’s rapier, a weapon of old and her go to weapon for combat. Fine flexible material, good for stabbing or slashing and he very hilt of the blade is a formable foe as it was forged form the deadliest of materials from the ground, undergoing nuclear warfare. Its bite leaves a radioactive poisonous effect on anyone other than Lexa herself and with each blow her opponent is further and further intoxicated causing the onset of blindness, paralysis, and excruciating pain.

At first contact with Trigedasleng one would experience a euphoric, ‘washing over your body’ feeling that would leave your stomach in knots. This is uncomfortable at best, but not harmful. Two or three strikes later the knots would start to become greater, but still nothing that would cause any handicap.
By the 5th or 6th time struck by Trigedasleng, your vision would begin to lose focus and a few strikes later become blurred and hard to see. At this point the effect is upon you and will not diminish on its own so long as you are within the presence of Trigedasleng (60 Meters).

Once the vision has become a blur, further exposure (8th to 9th strike) would result in a damage to the nervous system causing difficulty moving. Any further exposure to the weapon at this point results in random surges of inexplicable pain.

The effect Trigedasleng has on Lexa’s opponent is that of a foreign agent attacking the body, such as radiation. Due to the nature of this attack Lexa’s opponent’s body can adapt and create antibodies causing them to be immune. This means that if she reencounters the same opponents, over time through multiple fights, they would become resilient to the effects of Trigedasleng. Well, at least for everything except the hacking and slashing that is."

I hope this works, just let me know!

Alright, I just referred your move to Omni since it's a little complicated and a bit of a precedence setter and I want to play it safe.

However, if you like, I can approve ya sans the move so you can get started on your roster and maybe even start roleplaying. Then you can just purchase it through your purchases log later when it's approved. Does that sound like a path you'd like to go?

The "immunity" thing would only be flavour if you wanted to go with it. It's not the kind of balance we go for here, that it would give an advantage on the first fight and not on subsequent ones.

So the move would require another downside. If you make it so that the move doesn't do much actual damage besides the radiation effect that would be fine, and/or the opponent can slowly get used to the effects over the course of a battle. You'd need to elaborate on the specifics of "difficulty moving" as that'll affect the balance.
Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!

Hi, Welcome Back.

Your application is mostly solid throughout except for the last move. It will be 900 OM for the addition of the exploding feature and the dome feature. My main concern is how long can she maintain this move and maybe some fatigue caveats or some others of any kind. Also just how wide the triangle shield is and maybe how many people can the dome hold?

The move is now good but I have some bad news that I omitted earlier. When all new people join they must either have Physical Proficiency or Ranged Proficiency and a move. Sorry about that Confused. Hopefully you can take out something and get it later

My mistake, I meant to have Ranged Proficiency. I took out Time Manipulation for it. Hope that fixes it, can't wait to get started!

Alright one last thing is I'm going to assume that "between you and the enemy" means directly in front of you. If it's going to be further out you're going to need Ranged Materialize Proficiency. On the previous assumption you are approved.

Make a roster in the Roster Forum, copy and paste the above and make that the first post of your roster. The second reply should contain all the core information of your character(Look at the profile of an active member to see what I'm talking about)

Here's a topic to help you along: What to Do Once You've Been Approved

Remember that your first post should be in the Nexus after you've been taken by Omni, and all future purchases should go in a log that I shall set up shorty.

You're good to go! Enjoy the Omniverse!
