Processors silently sparked into operation. Life granting spiritual power flowed through circuits as if for the first time they had ever started. Schwi started to process her surroundings. Errors filled her logs as she began startup sequences. However the emergency priority of the current situation superseded analysis of her errors. The white nothingness that surrounded her, the being that was facing her, the inability to move, and what occurred before her processors restarted to explain all of this came first.
Sensors focused on the being before her. She recorded it's speaking for the moment while analyzing it. Magic unfathomable, potential unknown, abilities uncertain. Classification, Old Dei. Upper tier, Ether possibly beyond the God of War. Errors in sensor system, sensor accuracy 71%. Sensor speed less than 1% of standard. What is all of this?
Schwi started to process what the entity said. Omni, designation unrecognized. Speaks of this world as different from previous? Does that mean.. Riku succeeded in bringing the Suniaster out? Is this the One True God now? Possibility... 81%. Resurrection was a feat even Old Dues would be hard pressed to actually do. To bring back Schwi's soul to the living world would take such power to do.
Omnilium, the entity brought out an odd object. Clearly a conceptual material, she could faintly feel the methods of which she could use it. Omni was giving this to Schwi? He would bring her back to life if she lost it again? Schwi futilely struggled to respond as her errors told her to but logic said she wasted her time. She had to know why this was happening. Her errors, her feelings, why was she brought back?
Before she knew it she was deposited in a new area. This place was also white as the area before but she was capable of moving. Others were around, Schwi keenly focused on the new chasis she was given. This model was larger, and she was dressed in an appropriately fitting version of her orange coat. She quickly put the hood up on it. Floppy ears fell into place on top. She looked at the unusual object behind her. Unknown purpose, metallic structure that had an interface which would cause it to produce water. It seemed safe here, time for self diagnostics.

First priority was long range communications. If Schwi could communicate with a cluster and re-establish her link to other Ex Machina her efficiency in evaluating this situation would drastically increase. A few minutes passed, conclusion her overall processing capabilities were reduced significantly, and diagnostics reported that communications were non-functional from unknown errors. Further checks could not indicate the nature of this error. It booted but otherwise did not respond to commands nor did it relay any data it may be acquiring. So Schwi was on her own for all of this. In a few ways, she was glad not to re-establish her link to the collective minds of the other Ex Machina. A mix of embarrassment at having laid bare her feelings to the others... sadness and nother complex emotions welled at the thought.
Next priority was to evaluate combat systems. Her defensive capabilities, offensive capabilities, move speed, sensors, and just about everything showed a larger than 99% decrease in total output. However most of these systems were in working order. The lack of capability despite running to standard specifications didn't make sense. There were other irregularities as well. Her weapon memory was empty and the function changed to an unstable volatile memory core. It would be unable to hold weapons for longer than maybe 2 hours. On the other hand, maximum offensive output relative to her original model was drastically improved. Taking into account her overall reduction, her power was that of a standard combat unit. She did not feel safe with all of this. As weak as this, even a human might kill her and she didn't even have basic weapons to retaliate with. All she had left were the memories and skills of her life and the lessons Riku taught her for how to anticipate an opponent. Processors started softly churning out calculations of how to best fight in unarmed combat based on memories of Warbeast movements. Warbeasts had no magic but relied on extreme physical prowess and were the only race known for their skill in unarmed combat. Demonia enjoyed that sort of that combat but their skill was lower.

13 looked around, he saw that he was in a purple landscape for as far as he could see. To the left, rainbow clouds were moving slowly while to his right small animals were moving at an incredibly high speed towards something that he couldn’t see. Then, everything disappeared and he was back at the fountain. 13 stood up and looked around, the fountain had turned into a statue of a planet although he didn’t know which one, it looked like Mars but certain parts had been added such as forges and an iron ring surrounding it. Resurrection was new to him, even with emotions he would have laid down his life for the Omnissiah in battle. After all, death is meaningless if you are just an insignificant cog in the machine. He saw a woman standing by the fountain who was looking at her clothes as if they had just appeared on her. 13 walked over as silently as he could and asked;
“Who are you?”
She spun around, not knowing where he had come from or when he had arrived.
“What- where, never mind, who are you?”
She answered nervously while raising her fists into a fighting stance, looking at his pistol and transonic arquebus as if he might shoot and kill her at any moment.
“By the Omnissiah, this again. My name is 13-Jzall and I am from the planet Mars. I was created in the 32nd millennium to kill the ork threat known as The Beast.”
“What’s an ork?”
She asked, cutting him off.
“They are a type of mushroom humanoid who have the mental capacity to do nothing but kill, they are weak on their own but if they gather in large groups they can destroy entire planets and turn them into ships. The Beast is one of the worst, I was sent to attack him as he was neared holy Terra.”
“Terra?”
“Terra, the homeworld of humanity. You may know it as Earth or by a different name.”
Schwi slowly nodded and 13 continued.
“Unfortunately I was killed before I could kill them, I do not know what happened and I must get back to my dimension to see if I can still save humanity.”
Schwi looked at him blankly, processing all of the information and saving it for a later use. She lowered her arms and walked over to the fountain, sitting on the edge and gesturing for 13 to come over. 13 used the walking time to realise that he was still using emotions, he mentally shrugged and sat down next to the woman. The woman thought for a moment and came to a conclusion about what to do next. She opened her mouth and began to talk.
Quote:2400 characters and 456 words, I’m leaving you to decide whether you want Schwi to tell 13 about herself, I’m also leaving this open since I don’t know Schwi’s character as well as you so it’d be worse than it should be.

Evaluation of sensory systems complete. The diagnostics prevented her omni-directional sensors from detecting this nearby threat. But they did tell her that her effective sensory range was minuscule. Another piece of her body whose function has been severely hampered prior to her awakening. It spoke of some interesting things. Another dimension, beings capable of destroying multiple planets. That was a capacity beyond that of many Old Deus when it came to Earth, the source of spiritual circuits. But the heavens were another matter, they created the stars and other celestial bodies. Many of those were planets. Still, this was no laughing power for sure.
Was he telling her truth? Schwi couldn't know for sure. These 'Orks' were an Ixseed Schwi has never heard of. But he claimed to hail from the planet Mars, something she had never heard of, but Schwi did know Earth of course. She has learned not to trust the face value of others, but she had no reason to doubt this person right now. But when he said he wanted to kill this thing and save Earth.. that was almost it except he mentioned Dimension. Another reality, so he hailed not from Schwi's reality. Schwi's eyes grew wider for a moment at the consideration of what 13 told her. What if she was summoned to another dimension? That brought the impossible situation here into a more reasonable perspective. But if Riku succeeded at least partially.. he must have.. the One True God's throne was taken by someone and that being could have rewritten everything.
Schwi's surprise fell from her face and she said, "I am... Schwi." She hesitated for a few moments. Schwi needed information above all else, but the game's rules were still with her heart, but this clearly was not her world and that game was over. She had to try to share only what would be necessary. Riku should be here, she thought, he was the one good at this. "I need to know more about this place. I..." She looked at 13 with her almost unemotional face, but her eyes started to tear at this admittance. She said slowly, "Also died to protect my Earth. To protect... my husband... it was my fault.." She looked back forward, away from 13 and paused as she wrestled her errors back into control. "Can you tell me more about the Omniverse? Do you know how to get back to your Earth?"

So her name was Schwi and she was crying. 13 thought about wiping away one of the tears from her cheek but decided against it. His job was to keep humanity safe, happiness could come later. He thought about what he had been through so far and began to speak.
“So, Schwi. You are currently in the nexus which is the gate to all but three of the verses. In total, I have been to three of them not including this one. The astral realm is a place you go when you die but you can also get there if you can control your spirit well enough. Coruscant is home to the empire, the rebels and heretic astartes. The empire is from a different place as well but their leader, Emperor Palpatine, somehow managed to recruit space marines from my universe. They are warriors beyond compare and are almost impossible to kill with regular weapons. The tangled Greens are a giant forest filled with animals and people but I didn’t stay long there so I can’t say much about it.”
“Why didn’t you stay in the tangled greens?”
“I was killed.”
“Oh, so you can revive here. Interesting.”
“Yes, now back to the topic. I don’t know how to get back to our respective universes but I might be able to make something that can travel through dimensions, if that doesn’t work then Omni will most likely have the power to return us to each of our dimensions.”
“So you know how to travel between dimensions... interesting.”
“I don’t but I can most likely work it out. How did you die?”
“Someone killed me so they could take my head as a trophy.”
13 began to feel sorry for Schwi. Killing a human for sport was one of the worst fates that could happen to someone if they hadn’t allied themselves with xenos or the forces of chaos. The thought that a heretic dawned on him and he attempted to sneak it into conversation as discretely as he could.
“You are a human, right?”
Schwi kept her strangely blank face and answered in her normal monotone;
“Why would it matter? It's not like you're one."
13 pulled out his pistol and held it against Schwi’s forehead.
“No I’m not. I don’t want this to escalate as badly as it did last time so talk.”

Schwi looked at the machine drawing its weapon with unusually little reaction. She took a few moments to consider this situation. As far as she could tell this being was a machine being. Not any Ex Machina model she recognized, but if his story rang true the alternate dimension could explain that. He claimed to seek the preservation of humanity and her non-answer has led him to assume her a threat of some kind. With his claim of Resurrection which collaborates what Omni told Schwi, death must still hold some meaning here if he is willing to threaten her.
She analzyed the weapon and the being that called itself 13-Jzall. While her sensors were limited and she couldn't tell the makeup of the spirits dwelling with him, she could tell that he was stronger and far tougher than she was. The weapon seemed like it could do serious damage if it were to strike her with which she analyzed to be some kind of projectile. Getting a fight into this individual would be ill-advised by her tactical programs. She spoke slowly, "You are escalating this... what do you want from me?" He responded, "The truth, what are you, what are your true intentions?"
Schwi could not reveal the true nature of her past. She has revealed much already to his person to obtain information already, but she could not talk about the goals of Riku's group. Now she was regretting having spoken at all to him. "I am Schwi..." She hesitated. Schwi had not revealed much to this machine, she may tell him that they are alike but would that resolve this? He still was still not Ex Machina and because he threatened her it was a fairly high probability that he suspected she wasn't human. Humans could not defend themselves. This was what non-humans believed. Schwi continued, "I only want data. I do not intend to engage in combat with you. What part of this has threatened you?"
13-Jzall said, "You evaded my question." This was puzzling, he must consider her not human and that a non-human is a threat. Schwi decided that she would have to reveal herself as a machine and this may build a rapport with another machine. Schwi asked, "May I remove my hood?" 13 nodded an affirmation so she slowly pulled back her hood revealing the mechanical parts on her head. A circular piece with two arrowhead pieces on one side, and the metallic triangular pieces pointing at a low angle toward the ground whose attachments to her head touched the back of her cheeks. She forced herself back into her Ex Machina dialect. Her voice somehow became even more emotionless.
She responded, "Response: I am Ex Machina, in a state of severe systems damage. I do not recognize your model. You better than anyone would recognize that a machine acts in a logical manner. It would not be logical to engage in combat until this unit acquires repairs." He hardened and said, "So you are another heartless machine from another world. Sorry lady, that doesn't help your case. A robot would do or say anything to acquire its objective." With eyes wider and a softer tone Schwi asked, "You do not like other Machines, this 'robot' machine type? I... have a heart. I can understand why you would not like a machine prior to acquisition of a heart. They would act in the most logical manner based upon probability. It... would not be logical for me to tell you that your gun is aiming at a non-vital system."

13 considered what Schwi had said and moved his gun down to the centre of her chest, in his experience that would be the next most likely spot to contain a vital organ. He considered what she had said and kept the gun there, slowly changing barrels to a more tactical choice. Schwi watched blankly as he emptied his gun and put in small containers of a red powder, detailed symbols covering the surface of each ‘bullet’. 13 began to speak softly but it quickly grew into a shout;
“Logic doesn’t help when you’re fighting gods, logic doesn’t help when fighting the an army with all the knowledge of mankind and logic certainly didn’t fething help when I was fighting against sentient mushrooms that created two gods with their mind! For all I know you’re as mad as half the world here and want to die but don’t have the bravery to say it. The reason I don’t exactly enjoy the company of machines is because last time sentient machines were used it nearly destroyed all of humanity.”
“But you are a model of a robot, an unknown one as I mentioned.”
13 pulled back his own hood to reveal his face; a criss cross of metal and flesh and two eyes with eyelids staring at Schwi with a burning hatred.
“I, am, a, human. A heavily modified one but still I still have ownership of my soul and-.”
13 cut himself off to regain control over his emotions and when he continued speaking it was in a clearly more robotic voice.
“Well you made me angry, that will hopefully not happen again. Now, tell me your purpose, how you got your heart and why you think that I don’t know about robots knowing how to manipulate.”
“To answer your second question first, because why would I try to anger you further with trickery?”
13 thought for a second and couldn’t find an obvious flaw in Schwi’s logic. He would continue running different scenarios through his head but he needed to fill in the time and wanted to know more about Schwi’s past, even if it wouldn’t help him in the foreseeable future. He gestured at Schwi to continue and reminded her;
“Remember to stay on topic this time.”

Schwi considered this request. It was dangerous to reveal that humans were potentially strong but this being claimed to be part human. How could that possibly be? She paused for a time and focused as much as she could on analysis of 13's body. Her eyes shifted, the features in her iris spun in place a clear indicator that she was in intense processing. Her insight told her that what he said seemed to be true, his smooth flesh-like features were in fact flesh and not some advanced polymer, metal alloy, or more primitive artificial construct made to look like flesh. A human somehow bonded with machine parts such that their spirits did not reject. This kind of magic was on the level of an Old Dei, she had never heard of a half-breed in intelligent lifeforms. Their spirits were normally incompatible and would reject one another.
Her eyes stopped spinning and Schwi continued, "I have determined that you are not lying to me." 13 tentatively answered, "Okay" Schwi said, "So... I will tell you. I am a Prüfer unit that specializes in analysis and decision-making. When I personally witnessed the survival of a human when probability indicated a 0.00003% chance of survival, I became interested in what allowed this to happen, what was wrong with this probability calculation. After exhaustive analysis of human culture, behaviors, and language already in my database I determined that the quality 'heart' could be responsible for this. I started analysis of the heart as humans understand it and due to errors produced by this I was disconnected from my cluster and the rest of Ex Machina permanently." Schwi paused for a moment as recalling all of this brought up all kinds of emotions that she had to suppress so to continue. "I continued my analysis of heart and approached my chosen research subject. After... extended research I concluded that I understood that heart comes from a human soul and that was what generated the errors in my processing and I had a soul since my initial analysis of the human's survival which had developed due to my extended research in how it works."
Before 13 could get a word in, Schwi concluded, "If you have a heart as well then you know that killing others hurts the heart. I do not want to hurt my heart, any more than you want to hurt yours. Please understand that this information should not be revealed to non-humans. It would be detrimental to the survival of humans who would be destroyed by the concentrated efforts of any other race.."

13 looked at Schwi wondered what kind of world she was from. Where humanity had weakened to the extent of not being able to fend off a single race. If the imperium he was from had arrived into whatever world Schwi was from would most likely be able to take over in a single crusade. In fact, if his dimensions theory was correct he could possibly do just that. He looked back at Schwi;
“No, humanity’s greatest strength is attrition. Being able to weather the storm of an attack and fight back with the same ferocity in times of war is just as important as determination to keep peace. Maybe there was a time when peace could be easily found but that time is gone. War is what will keep humans alive and war is what will make humans want to stay alive.”
There was a fifteen second silence until Schwi finally spoke;
"How? Did your race have special magic, were you created by a god or did you evolve from monkeys?"
"We evolved from something but we were always watched over by the Omnissiah."
"The Omnissiah?"
"Our god, he resides on the golden throne on the brink of death. His powers allow us to travel faster than light and communicate from further away than any normal machine could."
"Interesting. Actually I have a question for you...."
Schwi waited a few moments before continuing.

Schwi considered to herself what 13 revealed of his past. She should not have revealed so much to this man but her goals were working. It would be poor form to back off from it now. He was a human race with a god, evolved but blessed with power. Powers greater than the Ex Machina, if magical law defying faster than light feats were truth, unless they just folded space. Perhaps humans from her world could have achieved this outcome if they had united in prayer and created a god suitable to contest the others in the war for the Suniaster. However humans did not know about the creation process of a god and it was unlikely for them to discover it without Schwi. She felt this outcome would not have been desired by humans. This added into this human being another empowered Ixseed, perhaps it also meant he and his kind shared the weakness of power, arrogance. A weakness Schwi has.
"Due to the severe damage I am working with less than 1 percent of my combat capacity. I require a suitable test to gauge the quality of my evaluation of my current state and capabilities. To do that I need to be damaged by a weapon. Would you shoot my arm?" Schwi held out her left arm out to her side, pulling back on the sleeve. This revealed a smooth blue etching on her hidden skin and the tip of the metal plate that covers her shoulder.

13 considered what Schwi was asking. He needed to test her combat capabilities by shooting her in the arm? It had all the characteristics of a trap but Schwi had been transparent to him so far and getting shot in the arm shouldn’t help her. He glanced at Schwi’s arm, it was a masterpiece of engineering, almost as impressive of the Legio cybernetica of old. Looking at what he saw, there wasn’t anything he had access to that was really like it. A few cybernetic implants could possibly reach the level of Schwi’s arm but they were few and far between. The possibilities of what could happen were almost endless, he had to see what would happen.
“Ok, but move your arm where and when I tell you and don’t immediately attack me for shooting you.”
13 switched the ammo type of his gun again and positioned Schwi’s arm so it was above the water. He held her hand under his knee on the edge of the fountain. He aimed at one of the likely spots to have no major parts inside it, aimed, and fired. The bullet hit the water with a loud splash with a small, smoking hole in Schwi’s arm. 13’s eyes flickered from it to Schwi’s face to try and figure out what was happening.

Damage report: Pierced structure in subsection 4 of secondary arm muscle. Rerouting power to nearby subsystems, compensating for loss of control. Foreign substance detected, further damage hampering repair efforts.
Schwi's eyes were unresponsive as she analyzed the attack and damage dealt, but her arm was pushed back by the shot. Going further, she looked deep into the weapon that caused the damage, its power and output, and the makeup and structure of the projectile. She had done this partially, but taking an actual attack allowed for a conceptual understanding of what the weapon truly was and what it was capable of by touching its concept direct with her spirits. Its the difference of knowing how something works and learning how to do it yourself, magically. She took a few seconds to understand the weapon that struck her. A long time, by her standards.
The metal device on her head reacted, it started to faintly glow and two separate blue energy circles formed above it. Each rotated in a different direction and both had subcircles, larger in width but broken into segments of differing length. "Lösen!" She held out the other hand on the arm that wasn't shot up to the sky, looking at it. A rapid series of blue cubes materialized in a pattern like a wave, fading to reveal a gun while the magic circles also dissipated. It was remarkably similar to the revolver that 13 carried. The fundamental design was the same but it was made of some much whiter material with sleeker edges and somewhat smaller with an out of place cylinder jutting out of the the firing mechanism that had lines which glowed blue. Schwi looked at it for a few moments then pointed it at the water and fired it. "Output... 74% of original." Once she had fired it she put the arm down, still holding the gun, while she inspected the wound 13's weapon caused. "Chemical substance, curious. Designed against regenerative magic?"

13 looked at Schwi’s arm, it was still the bone white pistol that she had shot at the water with. He mentally looked at the blueprint of his pistol. Except for the trigger which had been replaced by a simple button that looked out of place and certain parts at the back which were more elegantly designed, it was a perfect copy of his weapon.
“It's a flammable powder that burns slightly at your skin, stopping healing from happening as fast or as easy. On another note, how can you do that and how long does it last for?”
“Data integrity degraded, currently estimated to last one hour.”
Schwi shrugged.
“It is magic.”
13 thought for a moment, he couldn’t kill every prime who used magic or there’d be no time for his other goals. Stealing his technology was even worse but if it only lasted an hour then it’d be fine. After all, the more he could learn about how Schwi was made the more he could use her abilities for himself. Their version of magic would most likely be different and if it let him defeat Dane easier, all the better.
“So Schwi, you mentioned magic before. Explain it.”

Schwi tried to move the arm that was shot. It twitch and shuddered as she made the effort and her controls to the hand were shot. The damage had be more significant than she had realized. But her analysis of the weapon... Errors rattled her processes as she tried to understand what was wrong with her systems. She thought she had a solid measure on her enemy and the weapon he used. But the damage output of the weapon exceeded estimation. This had never happened before she had met Riku but it was also fundamentally different. Her calculations were never wrong when it came to physics.
She looked sharply at the arm and the damage that was caused, then back to her own weapon. Perhaps the calculations were faulty from a test shot so different from the original. She fired a second shot into the arm next to the first. The bullet ricocheted, leaving a mark behind along with the substance that made the wound burn. Her eyes shifted as she put all of her efforts into processing. The solution was not apparent. All variables taken into account, conceptual understanding of weapon 74%, output 74%.
She turned her attention back to 13. "I'm sorry, I am distracted. Calculations of damage inconsistent due to unknown variables. I cannot reveal the basic inner workings of Ex Machina technology. What I will tell you is what all races know. Upon receiving the effect from a foreign source, Ex Machina are able to conceptually analyze the concept and re-create that concept as our own magic. I understand the configuration of spirits present in your weapon from the effects it had on me, and am able to replicate that effort. Stronger magic is more difficult to conceptually replicate, but from repeated analysis Ex Machina can achieve 100% understanding of any weapon. Other races know of this ability and so avoid engagement with Ex Machina. Based on your reaction to my display, you are not capable of this."
Schwi quickly held out her copy of 13's revolver by the barrel. "Do you have some magical enhancements affecting your being and effectiveness with your weapon? Would you shoot the water with this weapon? The only variable I have considered that may be the source of my error in calculation is the wielder of the weapon."

“Ok.”
13 said as he shot the remaining bullets into the water, large jets of water coming out of the fountain and hitting his legs. While Schwi was watching and recording, he was thinking. If she could replicate any weapon perfectly what would cognis weapons do? Would the machine spirits help or hinder her? He pushed those thoughts to the side and focused on Schwi’s question.
“Certain parts of the construction of this weapon were made so that only the assigned person could wield it, it seems that your copy has taken that and used it against you. Either that, or the magic in this realm is changing the strength of it.”
“I did not factor that in, but the power coming from the wielder seems more likely.”
“That could be it. And no, my race cannot yet easily replicate the weapons of other races, our methods of war are different but possibly more effective. Certain weapons we employ could even be used to counter your tactics. I can reveal certain amounts but like you must keep it a secret as revealing all would be more heretical than anything else.”
Schwi fell silent for a moment more, contemplating what more she should ask and if she should ask it at all.

Schwi looked at the weapon. It wasn't what 13 suggested. Identifying the user and not activating with the incorrect user was elementary and included in its concept. So there wasn't an obvious answer. The other thing he suggested, that something in the world was modifying its power. But she should have detected such influences when she analyzed the gun and re-created it. She scanned again but nothing on her sensors indicated an unusual magical signature.
She looked at 13. Counter technology to Ex Machina copying, surely such a feat was worked through the power of an Old Dues. Creating concepts that were harmful to her process of copying sounded within the realm of possibility. Schwi said, "I would like to hear more. If more of your kind are here then I may run into them and I would want to know as much tactical information as possible. Specifically I want to know how to avoid fighting. I do not enjoy the risk of killing my opponent. I.. don't want to kill... anyone."
Schwi was about to say more, her mouth opened but then closed and her eyes moved in the direction of her sensors but she did not turn her body. Someone walked within her sensor ranged and she began analysis of this new potential threat immediately. It was terrible timing, she wasn't going to get more information from 13 if someone eavesdropped on their conversation. His information was as sensitive as the information she shared with him.

Lord this was droll. Leaving Coruscant took way much of his time than needed. He didn't need papers upon arrival so why did they stop him on the way out? Are they that desperate for Primes that they would hinder their exit? Come to think of it, he'd only visited the top layer of the huge planet wide city. It's very possible that the near flawless representation of the top tier of the city was a ploy to draw in interested primes. Once there, they'd spring the trap, but not on Serraph! The young appearing Arrancar would chuckle, a pale gloved waving dismissfully at the portal and the guards that stood sentry by it.
He had been walking for what seemed forever, his head stuck in the metaphorical clouds that were his thoughts, but then something interesting happened. The loud sound of a pair of rather abrupt collisions echoed over the relatively small area around the Nexus. His eyes flicked to the fountain marking the epicenter of the Nexus and the origin of the gun shot. Serraph would glance to the side, his gloved hand scratching curiously at his papery chin. What could have made this noise? It is possible this was happening by the fountain. This provides one of the five base questions one would ask about an uncertain event, but the others were still shrouded in doubt. The Arrancar would narrow his eyes at the fountain , his eyes gazing upon the two figures there, both seemingly mechanical in nature. The would hold a human-like form which would pose the question, 'Are they completely artificial or are they simply augmented human beings?' If they were fully machine and sentient on the level of a human, another question would be posed. "What does a machine's soul taste like?", he'd ask himself aloud as he walked towards the pair. His gloved had would fall upon the basket weave on the hilt of his blade, his fingers tangling itself into it.
He could already feel a set of eyes upon him, the concerned eyes of the fem-bot following the Arrancar as he walked ever closer, perhaps a bit too close for their own taste. That is the question wasn't it? Can machines truly taste anything? Perhaps the correct answer was "Yes, If they were programmed to, but then again, the degree of such programming would be determined by the limitations of their creator or creators.", He'd answer aloud before the two mechanized beings. A wide grin stretched over Serraph's face, his eyes looking aimlessly into the nonexistent clouds, only to be brought back to earth by a fairly harsh *Ahem* from the more harsh appearing mechanical fellow. He'd blink and and tilt his head, his hands cupping his cheeks as he stretched his back out in exasperation. "Ughh what was I doing? What was I doing? What was I doing? What was I doing? What was I doing? What was I doing? Aha!", He'd ramble, his mind scrambling to recollect itself, ending the process with a rather aggressive snap of his fingers. "I heard a sound from this direction you see and I just had to see it for myself, but then I found you two. The closer I got the more questions swarmed my mind so answer me this. Assuming you two are indeed mechanical in nature, do you two have souls?", he'd ask with a stupidly wide grin, stepping closely to the stranger of the two, the one who doesn't have what a normal one would consider a cute face.
"Mine eyes hath seen the glory of the presence of my Lord. He is sifting through the treasures in which his Gates of Wrath does store. He lets loose the righteous vengeance of his terrible swift swords. Gilgemesh has returned!"

13 looked at the stranger, he was smiling in a way that screamed danger at him. He held up his pistol and aimed it at their head.
“I do have a soul, I cannot speak for Schwi though. We were in the middle of a conversation however and I intend to finish it. Schwi, all machines from my realm have machine spirits, the more complex the machine the more advanced spirit it normally has. Cognis weapons are different, they have machine spirits that can aim and move for the wearer while they are moving too quickly to aim correctly or are too busy blocking an enemy’s attack. I believe that if your race mimicked them, they would continue working for the Adeptus Mechanicus and Imperium as a whole which could be detrimental. If you see another tech adept, someone wearing a similar cloak to mine, say-“
13 switched to speaking in Cant Mechanicus, certain parts of his skull visibly shaking to create the sounds effectively.
“<The tech adept 13-jzall represents this one, if she is to break the laws of the Omnissiah past normal xeno standards, you are to use non-lethal force and she will return it, this is only valid with the prime known as Schwi, any others who use this are to be dealt with as usual>. As I was only briefly trained in priesthood before I was taken here, a higher ranking tech priest could take this protection away but I haven’t seen any here. The protection itself is just using non-lethal force on you. I would reveal more about my faction if this stranger was not here.”
Schwi did not move or speak for a few seconds, committing the words to memory.
“Thank you, this is… more than I could ask for. I will remember this.”
13 nodded, he then lowered his pistol from the stranger and the looked at him.
“Who are you and apart from the gunshot you heard, why are you here?”

Schwi looked at the new face approaching. Once he said that they looked mechanical in nature, Schwi quickly put her hood back over her head and let her sleeve cover her arm again hiding the wounds she incurred from the two shots. She did not want more to know of her mechanical nature than she had to allow. Since he already knew though, there was no need to pretend that she wasn't Ex Machina. Her analysis of this individual showed a low power capability and high speed capability. As she peered at his specifications, she paid close attention to the weapon he had with him, however she couldn't find anything particularly special about the weapon. Spiritual in nature, but lacking special attributes.
She wasn't sure what to say, this person was an unknown so she first needs to draw out information. "What business do you have with me? I do not know who you are."

Having a gun, a rather interesting gun, pointed in his face was not quite the reaction he expected. After all his position was not threatening. Serraph had intentionally moved close enough to negate the full effectiveness of his rapier. He might as well have been an unarmed child and yet this man still had the former Espada look down the barrel of this quite sophisticated firearm. Before he could really do much the gun was lowered, the two machine beings asking the Arrancar of his name and intentions. "I will answer one question as you answered one of mine. Information of any kind is precious to me, you see.", he'd say, his gloved hand tightening at his tie's knot.
"I go by the name of Serraph Quarrere, Octava Espada and Head Librarian to Primera Espada Tier Harribel's Kingdom of Los Noches." he'd declare with a lazy bow at his waist, his left arm resting upon the pommel of his rapier. He'd rise again, before any kind of courtesies could be returned. He didn't expect them to return his kindness anyhow. "Though that title would hold little weight here. Serraph will do for the time being~"
He'd glance between two, his eyes flowing hungrily over them. The two seemed to be mirror opposites of each other, at least in the intellectual side of things. While the male appearing machine seem brutish and quite unpleasant to look at, the other would be more reserved, not taking uncertain actions or risks at the appearance of an unknown stranger such as Serraph. It was perhaps the right decision. It is best to be well informed about a certain circumstance before acting upon it. Serraph would turn towards the unsightly one.
"I see you are unaccustomed to how things work around here. If your approach to a peaceful encounter is to ready your pistol, you might find your firing arm eradicated.", he'd warn to him his left had gripping at the firm hilt of his rapier, raising it slightly, the white, non reflective blade meshing quite well with the bleach white background of the nexus. Those glancing upon it might say there was no blade at all. "I am a seeker of knowledge, but I can afford to draw my blade."
"Mine eyes hath seen the glory of the presence of my Lord. He is sifting through the treasures in which his Gates of Wrath does store. He lets loose the righteous vengeance of his terrible swift swords. Gilgemesh has returned!"
