Second Time's the Charm

As Syn eventually revived from the death that was caused by being skewered by Cirno's icicles, he remembered most of what had happened before his death, and because of this he was furious for multiple reasons. The first and most important reason was simple: not only has he been hurt by two fairies and Yuuka, but he was killed by them as well, which he originally had considered would be impossible seeing on how strong he was before coming to this Omniverse. He was also angry at himself for losing the battle against these fairies, though he mainly redirected that anger at the fairies.

Despite this, Syn Shenron was also feeling a new emotion, one he only has scarcely feeled a few times before coming to the Omniverse, that emotion being fear itself. Syn was now slightly scared on what other fighters were as strong as those fairies, as if they could kill Syn after a long battle, then imagine what some of the more powerful beings in the Nexus could do to Syn, if they had managed to come and challenge him to a battle. Thinking on what to do, Syn tried to sit down and try to find a way to calm his raging anger, thinking that this must have been the cause of his first death in this realm.

Eventually, a day after sitting down and trying to concentrate on stopping his anger, Syn had managed to somewhat curb it, and even though he still held a bit of a grudge against the fairies and Yuuka, he had mostly swallowed down his lust for battle, so that he could try to get somewhere where he could train easily for when he could get a chance to fight the fairies once again. As he got up and began to walk around again, he remembered the gate that he had seen earlier while he was walking around the first time. Deciding to make that his goal for now, Syn began to walk in what he thought was the direction of the gate, being a bit unsure since he was not sure which direction the gate was in from the fountain, and vice versa.

As he continued to walk, Syn tried to think on if there could be any way to make this trek go any faster, thinking on what to do to get to the gate as fast as he could. As he continued to think hard on what to do, Syn was beginning to focus, and as he focused on thinking how to get there faster, a small car began to form in front of him, as if it was being created by his thoughts. Curious on how the car appeared from thin air, happy that he had found a quicker way to travel to the gate, and slightly amused that there was another thing that he could destroy without being hurt by someone as strong as the fairies that he had fought earlier, Syn launched a powerful kick into the car and denting it hard before hopping into the car to begin driving it torwards the gate at around 50MPH.

Eventually, after a few hours of driving through the Nexus while trying to hold down his anger, Syn eventually reached one of the gates he was aiming for, and as he tried to stop the car he tried to take a good look at the gate before he tried to destroy it. As Syn looked at the gate, he saw that it seemed to be made of some sort of igneous rock, and it seemed to be hot to the touch, judging from the steam that was rising from the gate. "Hmm, on second thought, if the gate stays hot like this I think it would probably melt from the heat, but just to be safe..."

Before Syn could start preparing a Negative Karma Ball to try to destroy the gate, he saw some sort of small mushroom-like creature run out of the gate, carrying some small bag on top of his head. Intrigued by the small creature, Syn quickly ran in front of the Goomba, snatched the bag from on top of him, and threw it into the air before launching a Negative Finger Beam at the bag, blowing it up. Now having the Goomba's attention, Syn quickly began talking to the Goomba, saying "Now I don't really know or care who or what you are, but I want you to tell me everything you know before I kill you, unless you just want to die quicker?"

"Look man, I'm just a Goomba, I don't know much. In fact, considering what had happened in the Steppes just today,
I would rather forget everything I knew from there and live in Camelot, rather than stay in that Ashen Steppes and fall prey to the dark monsters that lurk there! Now please, just let me live!" As Syn listened to the Goomba speak, he noticed that the small mushroom person was shaking very wildly in fear, as if something had scarred him from beyond the gate. Whatever had scared the Goomba though, Syn mostly did not care about, as he thought that while killing the Goomba, he could also destroy the car he had used to get here at the same time.

Grabbing the Goomba by it's feet, Syn let loose a sigh, signifying to the Goomba that he did not care about what he was saying, before throwing the Goomba into the car. After throwing the Goomba, Syn quickly opened the engine and walked through the gate into the Ashen Steppes, before launching a Negative Finger Beam through the gate and into the engine, causing the entire car to explode violently from the blast. Taking a peek from the other side of the gate after the explosion was over, Syn had seen the Goomba dead on the ground, the explosion launching him into the air before falling and breaking his skull. Turning back around, Syn once again walked through the gate, and as he entered the Ashen Steppes he wondered if there would be any other people like the Goomba, which he could kill easily.
