The Righteous
#1
Kolvo’s ember red eyes shot open observing his surroundings. Nothing but blackness came upon him like a shroud. He tried to move but nothing happened. Only a floating limp body, he tried to make words finding out to a startling disappointment that the same as his legs and arms his voice and mouth failed to respond. Darting his eyes back and forth frantically trying to find someone something. His breathing sped up as his mind started to race off listing the possible outcomes this dead void must be. During the battle at in the Oblivion could it have been possible that a lucky Daedra cast him into a soul gem? No, no that’s not it. Could it be Sithis, this was a void, correct? His focus realigned as a figure in all white slowly approached him.

Narrowing his eyes Kolvo tried his best to adjust himself, to see who or what he was looking at. Could it be Azura, the goddess of twilight, approaching to take him to their plain of Oblivion?

“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse.”

Omni? Never in Tribunal or in the texts the N’Wah Empire brought with them did they ever speak of such a thing. Kolvo would have none it, he had to do something to reply, to question, to resist this falsehood.

“You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Interest? Omniverse? Rules? Anger washed over him, replacing his fear. He may have been a guardsmen for a religion based around the Daedra and they were at least real but this Omni wishing him to be his plaything. Kolvo was no toy for a being that he had never heard of. No, the Tribunal was true, not this Omni.

“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.”

What does a mere mage orb have to do with anything? Why would some being give such power to a mortal? Every second Omni spoke raised more questions that Kolvo could only ask in his head. Kolvo could feel the powerful magic in the multicolored orb. It was raw power, A power no mage, warrior or scholar should possess. It was a power that only gods should have Kolvo knew with it there must be a price, a price of respectability and to keep righteous among the good.

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.”

Others? Others like himself or worse? Kolvo tried to call out against Omni tell them that he wished not to be reborn. That he would rather be brought back home to his friends and family, to be back in the city of Vivec.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

Kolvo simply watched as the being slowly faded away leaving only him and the deep darkness of the void. A blinding light blinded the dark elf making him whence and pray to the Tribunal to let shield himself from it but only found himself losing conscience until another black found surrounded him.
