[Question] Space Marines

I know space marines are popular to people and stuff but wanted to clear it up.
Are these ultra marines or can they be any colour? 
They can sometimes be in other verses right?
How many are usually in a group? (Rough estimate is fine like do they travel far in single squads or what)

Just asking in case I decide I want to fight them in the future or even fight along side them.

They can be any color but I would argue that the color needs to be consistent depending on the task and his fellow officers. Just like in the real military; the uniform should be chosen for the task at hand, not for style.

They are primarily going to be in Coruscant, since they are more of an Elite Guard type of thing (where-as Stormtroopers) are like the grunts. With that said, you could probably come up with some reason why a Space Marine or two has been sent out to take care of something in Coruscant territory. If it's outside Coruscant territory then you'd need a really good reason. Feel free to be more specific if you aren't sure.

The size depends on the task. There could be an entire battalion closer to Coruscant, but a smaller squad out on a mission in another verse.

I don't advise fighting them, but hey...live your life, I guess.

Space marines (I'm assuming these are tactical squads) come in groups of 5-10 and are armed with mainly bolters, the marines that would most likely be in the middle of a city would be ultramarines, imperial fists and some of their sub-chapters. Pre heresy emperor's children could work as well but they're all chaos now. SM will go where ever they are needed but tactical squads will normally be the front line or first defense. You need to watch out for flamer (what they sound like), plasma (can sometimes explode in their face but apart form that extremely strong projectiles) and bolter (explosive bullets capable of blowing up someones knee) weapons.
