Okay, this may shock you but... dogs and wolves are not on my Top 3 list! But, Corgis, Huskies (Siberian and Malamute), St. Bernards and generally big dogs who don't realize how big they are and behave like small teddy bears get honorary mentions.
Now when you're done gasping, here's mine:
3. Orcas

They're not just big and dangerous "killer whales", they're also smart, intelligent and very social! They even teach things that they come up with to the next generation!

2. Bears
[spoiler]
Bears are so immensely powerful, big, strong and yet they look adorable. It is said that bears (especially Polar Bears) are the natural predators to the modern human, and yet they are cute enough that teddy bears are a thing in our culture.
They're big, fluffy, cuddly, playful, gluttonous, they can survive in just about every environment and the bear cubs melt hearts with pure cuteness.

1. Cats

They're very independant as pets and yet amazing in many ways. They're smart and understanding, and though they might not express it as openly as a dog they love their owners just as much. And when you have a cat coming to lay down against you and purring like a little motor while you pet it, both of you are in heaven for a while. Cats are the bestest Just one thing... In Soviet Russia, you own cats. :hee:
