Star Piece Quest Questions

1) Do I need to kill them? Can there a bounty just for stealing an Artefact?
2) Do the circumstances of the killing matter all too much? That is, can I say they were monster-ized and tried to kill me so I killed in self-defense?
3) Does it have to be me who kills them?

While I'm asking, I'd also like a brief description on what the Yellow OOPS INDIGO Star Piece looks like. Not necessarily what it does, because I know that's supposed to be a mystery, but just what Vision sees inside the warehouse.

As long as they die and you can be blamed, you can spin it as you'd like. Maybe they succumbed to the fog, and you euthanized them. But the guild's still upset because they're all like "we couldda saved dem, you a**hole."

The artefact it's fist-sized and exudes a massive amount of energy that pulses to the beat of a human heart.
