Zimmer Ascendant
#1
The Quarterback of Chaos was in a mood that on it's own could curdle milk, or make any bandits that the Quarterback of Chaos was about to encounter decide they wanted to run in the opposite direction as fast as their legs could carry them. Ransom4u was the last of a long line of annoyances that had caused Warren Zimmer to finally snap. Ignoring the scorching rays of the sun as they beat down on his sore, and tired body, Warren marched himself towards his destination. Today he was going to go see Gilgamesh, and get permission to build his home. Once he had permission, and had the place built and operational - Warren doubted that anyone would intrude in it. They'd have to go through Nippur first, and even for all the ice based murdering skills Dark Hecate had, Warren seriously was not convinced she was that crazy. Sure his plan involved using people more than he'd like to admit, but hey, it was a plan that he had.

Unfortunately, life tends to throw you curve balls. Especially if you are the punching bag of the universe, like Warren seemed to be. In this case said curve ball was not just one curveball, but a dozen. A dozen thugs.

"Tell me, boys. What do we do to tresspassers in these parts?" asked the boss of the thugs.

"Why we make them pay the toll, or beat them and leave them for dead of course."

If the thugs had any wisdom in their heads, they would not have said that. For Warren's bad mood had just gone nuclear the moment those words were realized by him. There were going to be no survivors of this particular batch of thugs - actually.... he could keep them alive. They might prove useful with a few alterations, and improvements to their personalities.

"I'm not paying a toll," growled Warren as he assumed his combat stance.

"Get him boys!"  ordered the boss.

As one of the thugs made the mistake of charging at him head on,  Warren simply held out his arm. Purple electricity crackled down said arm and formed the familiar form of a Calvary Sword. It was time to test out the MWCA that he had invented for himself. A series of slashes later and the thug was now in his underwear, but was not bleeding.

"Anyone else care to try that?" groaned the Quarterback of Chaos who really did not have any time for this today.

The Multi Weapon Construct Apparatus was deactivated by Warren Zimmer.

"Whatcha gonna do now, freak?" spat the boss, at him. Said spit was the worst possible thing the boss could have done, and also the last possible mistake the boss would make in his very short remaining existence. For you see, someone could only be pushed so far until they absolutely snapped on an individual. Unfortunately for the boss of the band of thugs that Warren had encountered? He'd reached that point long before this, but this was what sent him over the edge. No ceremony was done,  but Warren began to create the Yandere Hater 9000.
As he did so, one of the thugs jumped at him, but Warren sidestepped, causing the idiot to careen headfirst into the sand.

Rifle in hand now, Warren simply pulled the trigger. A foot long beam of purple energy lanced out at high speeds from the barrel aimed at the head of the secondary. When there was a stump where the head had used to be, Warren lookes at the individuals. "I'm going to give you a choice. You can either choose to serve me for the rest of your lives, or you can get what he got. You have 5 seconds to decide, since I'm in a more generous mood." Luna may say what she may, but Warren needed to blow off some steam just then.

"We submit.... just please. Don't blast us," begged the thugs.

"I'm glad you saw reason,"  smirked Warren. Now he had 11 men that he could use to begin to form his army here in the Omniverse. Sure it was not as powerful or as disciplined of a group of thugs as he would have liked, but Warren could work with them. In time the numgers of people under his banner would grow enough to where he could challenge the Empire. It was his hope anyway. In order to do so he was certainly going to need more than just these. Each of the men were going to need upgrades though.  "Now your first assignment. You're now my tour guide of this particular verse. I want to know more about it."

As soon as he had demanded the information, one of them began to explain the Endless Dunes to him. Each location was described in great detail by the thugs. After all, they had no intention of dying. If not dying meant they obeyed the Prime who had just killed their boss with a rifle then that is what they would do. It seemed like a rather cushy opportunity - and certainly beat stealing.

"So to clarify this town has many places inside of it. Originally, the place that is called Nippur was attacked by the forces of Sinestro, and a group called Law, am I correct?" asked Warren, wanting to make sure he had his facts straight. Given he didn't know the history of the Omniverse he knew it was something he was going to have to learn at some point. As Warren, and his new...associates kept walking towards their destination, Warren considered what he might do with them when he got there. Sure they were bandits, but they had the potential to be so much more than that because they were something most of the secondaries had not been when Warren encountered them. They were actually useful.

"You're correct. You've got a lot to learn about the Omniverse, but we'll teach you what we can. You may need to seek out others to educate you more about the place,"  stated one of the thugs. They wetre being careful to avoid doing anythig that could possibly raise the ire of their new boss because of how brutal he seemed. Their boss needed therapy in their eyes, but where would they get someone?

At the moment the thug said the word "correct" all of them came to a screeching halt. Like a stalled locomotive they took a moment. Warren rubbed his eyes as he noticed a place nearby. The place had a massive sign that said  "Prime - Gear." on it.  The place was a massive store that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Their boss seemed to be very curious about the place.

Politeness had not worked the way he had anticipated, and had only resulted in him getting stabbed in the shoulder. The blade was still stuck because he hadn't dared remove it - as of yet, anyway. However, Warren had booked it out of Nippur entirely, not sticking around to enjoy the place. Given that the words of the king of the place, Gilgamesh had dripped with sarcasm, Warren knew he needed somewhere else that he could lay down the roots that would be the basis of his new castle. Unlike last time the place would not have his name connected to it. There was one of his many mistakes that he had made in the Tangled Green. Next, he would not allow people to move in with him, and stay there. No guests would be permitted because he was not going to deal with the problem again. Of course, he knew that with the right persuasion he might be able to get Gilgamesh to do something about Yandere, something fatal. Granted the individual was all kinds of crazy that Warren had no desire, or passion to deal with any time soon.

The Quarterback of Chaos was joined by the 11 loyalists that he had "recruited" from their former life as criminals in the Dunes. Each of them wore the gray and purple ensembles he had created as their new outfits. Sure the outfits were not the best choice of clothing for the Endless Dunes, but now the thugs at least looked prim and proper in his eyes.

"What's with the sword in your shoulder?"  asked one of the thugs.

The Chaotic Quarterspear Staff was summoned by Warren, and pressed to the throat of the thug.  "Gilgamesh apparently was in one of his moods, but I have permission now. So it's time we went to work constructing the place that I will call home from here on out."

All in all, the Quarterback of Chaos now knew beyond a shadow of a doubt something he had been thinking of. It was high past time he got his courage back, and made himself get stronger. As he was now, he stood no chance against Yandere, which meant that he needed to push himself to his absolute limits. In addition new equipment needed to be developed by him.

As the sands of the Endless Dunes whipped around him, and smacked into his eyes at the speeds of bullets the Quarterback of Chaos grew less and less asumed with the environment. Sure the Endless Dunes did not have Dark Hecate problems, but it had problems of it's own. These problems were many, but could be summed up in a single word - the word sand. The sand of the Endless Dunes was one of the main things disliked by the Quarterback of Chaos about the place, if he was to be blunt. The Endless Dunes also had problems. While Nippur was working to establish order in the environment, it still had bandit problems. So far he had managed to recruit eleven bandits to his side.

At present they were located near a set of cliffs that had hidden caves in the Endless Dunes. The cliffs could be a valuable place, as could the caves. With the right working of Omnilium, Warren knew the place could be his home. It was not Canton, Ohio and would never be. However as a place he could call home in place of the former Fort Zimmer, it would do. It was not even as good as Fort Zimmer, to be honest.

The caves were the most promising. Entering one of them alone, as he had left his minions outside. While they may be his now, he did not possess any level of trust in the bandits as of yet. Trust was something Warren had a shortage of, at present. Of course with the amount of humiliation he had experienced due to Dark Hecate's lover,  Yandere, that was to be expected.

Forcing his way deeper into the cavern, he examined it.  "This place needs some work, but it could be very useful for me. To be honest it could use a lot of metal and maybe some computers, and a hot tub,"  The last part was added when a spasm of pain shot through his body because of how far he had walked at present. While a more ideal location would have been closer to what Warren imagined, he supposed he could make do with the place, at least until he could find somewhere better to build a home.
