Fight Area Reveals
#21
“Party TOO Hard” – The fight area is an elaborate dining hall, two stories tall (15 feet or so) and roughly forty feet long. There’s a table in the center with an elegant meal laid out, although obviously the intention is not dinnertime. Up above (eight feet up) is a balcony that circles three sides of the room. There are plenty of doors, windows, and even a fireplace, but the barrier of the Fight Area lines up with the walls of the room. Break a door, and you’ll just bump into the barrier. So sad!

But that’s not all! On the balcony is a fancy statue of an angel holding a cup. From that cup pours a steady stream of champagne. The bubbly liquid is unable to escape the room because of the barrier, so it will gradually fill up the dining hall. At a rate of about 2 feet per post. Even worse, the f**king Dante Verse has hexed you so you can drown. Finish the fight as fast as you can! Slosh around that bubbly quick and KO your foe.

Stipulation: Room is filling up with champagne. Destroying the statue will not stop the flow. Drinking the champagne will just cause it to flow faster and make you drunk (#DantePhysics). Something in the champagne makes it so you can ‘drown’ and die horribly (#DantePhysics).
“Battle of the Gods” – The Fight Area is a nondescript city. Much like MegaCity One but not. The Fight Area encompasses the entire city (20 square miles), as well as 50 feet underneath it and 300 feet above the tallest skyscrapers, which are 1000 feet tall). All four contestants are teleported and arrive in tailored tuxedos with capes. These tuxedos are indestructible. The suits radically change everything about you. Defeat your foes.

Stipulation: Everyone arrives in tuxedos and capes (regardless of your character’s gender identity). These suits DISABLE all non-weapon Moves, all Transformations, all Super Attacks/Defenses/Utilities, Healing and Fusion/Symbiosis. The suits GRANT all the other Powers on the list. The suits make the Flight power effortless to sustain. The suits change it so that everyone’s stats are as follows: ATK – 20, SPD – 12, DEF – 12, TEC – 12
“Potara’d” – The Fight Area is a larger version of the stage used in the previous, Dante’s Abyss: Budokai area. A picture is included. Unlike that smaller version, this fight concludes with knockout only, and players may rampage around the entire structure if they please.

Stipulation: Both fighters are fused for the duration of the fight, “DBZ-style”. Details on that will be PM’d.

Two reveals.
“Battle of Nippur” – The most famous minor city in the Omniverse not run by a Princess and filled with talking ponies. This recreation of the Battle of Nippur is a Fight Area that encompass the front exterior of the Royal Palace and the surrounding blocks. Beyond the barrier, you can spot the forces of LAW and the defenders of New Babylon locked in eternal struggle. Both teams are provided with optional equipment armories on their side of the Fight Area related to the side they represent.

Stipulation: Extra weapons and equipment provided.

***

“Battle of Darkshire” – The town that no one wants to live but everyone wants to apparently blow the fuck to pieces (or at least back when that was the cool thing). This recreation of the Battle of Darkshire is a Fight Area that encompass the Main Gate and the surrounding square and structures. It is here that a handful of defending primes and the forces of Darkshire squared off to determine the fate of the rural city. Beyond the borders of the Fight Area, you can spot clashes in adjacent streets and buildings. Both teams are provided with optional equipment armories on their side of the Fight Area related to the side they represent.

Stipulation: Extra weapons and equipment provided.
“Omniverse: End Times” – You are fighting a post-apocalyptic version of the Omniverse. The Fight Area is a 2 square mile chunk of Coruscant’s Tier 1, although the entire place has long-since been overrun by Diablo and the Underverse itself. The skies are blood red, the machinery and shining metals of Coruscant are rusted and warped. Several of the landmarks are still visible on the skyline, even if they are crumbling or otherwise… befouled by the darkness of the Lord of Terror. In this battle, one side portrays ‘survivors’ of this apocalypse, while the other represent a horde of Diablo’s faithful.

Stipulation: Team A will receive backup in the form of a squad of 10 stormtroopers and 3 space marines, and a Judge (but not the Judge). Team B will receive backup in the form of a squad of 10 Doom Guard, 3 succubi, and the Butcher (all three are Diablo mobs). All these units are considered exactly the same capabilities in terms of ‘gameplay’ so there’s no advantage or disadvantage to each side.

“Space Verse” – This Fight Area exists within a massive floating sphere high over the Dante Ocean. The barrier of the Fight Area is opaque and dotted with glittering stars, giving the visual illusion of being deep in traditional space. Inside the Fight Area are various free-floating chunks of rock, ice, and even a floating space installations in various conditions.

Stipulation: This is a Zero gravity environment. Each prime is provided with either a jetpack or boot boosters, which are indestructible.

A personal favorite and a long-away throwback for me.
“The Pit” – The sky is dark overhead. This Fight Area is a 25-foot-long platform, roughly 3 feet wide. In the distance, you can spot similar platforms, but you are constrained to just the one. Below this platform is a literal pit filled with massive spikes. Gore-stained remains of failed warriors decorate the bottom of the Pit and the spiked columns that support the platform.

Defeat your opponent. Be careful not to fall off. You will not get back up, regardless of your skillset.

Stipulations: Flight and Super Jumping are disabled. Don’t fall to the bottom, you will insta-die, Mega Man-style.
“Medieval Times” – The Fight Area is a 1 square mile field ripped straight from Camelot (not literally, of course… we don’t have that technology, do we?). The field has some gentle rolling hills dotted with shrubberies and a few small trees. All contestants are perma-mounted on indestructible horses (before anyone asks—your SPD is transferred to your horse so you're just as fast as you normally are... just, on a f**king horse). Horses are equipped with lances, and there is equipment stashed on opposing sides of the Fight Area.

Fight with honor! En garde!

Stipulation: Perma-mounted. Extra weapons available.
Beach Party – You’re on a pristine beach, like one straight out of Costa del Sol. There’s a life guard tower, some blankets and beach balls, along with anything else you might find at a restor-y beach. The Fight Area is a 60-foot stretch of sandy beachside property (roughly 20 feet of sandy fun and 20 feet of ocean). You can wade out up to about 12 feet deep, but there’s no undertow given the barrier at the edge of the Fight Area. While everything is beautiful where you are, if you look in the distance, the sky is dark and foreboding.

Stipulations: No special stipulations.

The Dock – It is night time.  This Fight Area encompasses a large dock, roughly a few city blocks long.  Beyond the Fight Area, you can see the shadows of buildings that loom on the night sky.  Something about them makes you very unsettled, but you can’t explain why.  The dock itself is like one from an industrial area—it is filled with intermodal freight containers (those big steel containers at docks).  There appears to have been a fight in one area, because many of the freight containers are knocked over, and a few are stained with blood and bear the signs of claw marks.  The end of the dock is free of any shipping vessels, and the ocean beyond seems ominous.  The water goes down about twenty feet before the soft barrier of the Fight Area.

Stipulation: One person on Team A will be transformed into a ‘Zamber’ (details to come).  Obviously to keep things balanced, one person on Team B must be transformed into a ‘Remiliapire’ (details to come)
Underground Brawl – This fight takes place inside a mine. There are still traces of white minerals and powders from when it was used. The Fight Area consists of about 2000 square feet of tunnels and a few wider areas. Everything is illuminated by incandescent bulbs hanging from the ceiling. A few areas are leaching water, which implies some degree of being condemned. Everyone who goes into this fight area is equipped with an indestructible ‘hopper’, granting them Teleportation (Basic), to prevent anyone from being trapped by collapsing tunnels. Everyone also receives indestructible night vision goggles, which allow a prime to see in the dark.

Stipulation: Special bonus equipment.
Any additional Fight Areas will be added during the course of the competition.
