[Npc](Open ) A tale of the would be hero ( M )
#81
After having walked for a while through the desert, Veldriss heard the sounds of fighting, and began to jog in that direction. After getting within seeing distance of what was going on, Veldriss set up her Barret, ,deciding to help the ones in need. She decided that she would tell them what they owed her later, as she began firing at the group of bandits, a head shot each time, from quite a respectable distance. More than anything, she knew that sniper fire disconcerted an opponent, making them more worried over the sniper than the more immediate and close danger, a fact she was counting on the small group making use of.

Blair was thinking for a second and frowned "I wish I had my plane right about now. Could do some damage on that side.

As the sharp retorts or sniper fire permeated the air, Callium tightened his grip on his knife.

"It would seem we have allies in high places. There."

Pointing with his blade, Callium indicated the dim and distant flashes of the rifle over the hills of sand. He turned to his female companion.

"If you wish to infiltrate, now is the time. That sniper can draw their attention, and perhaps I can too."

He checked his ammo.

"I'm low, but I should be able to keep them occupied. Typhone, perhaps you will stand with me. This is our chance to show those bastards what happens when they mess with men of vengeance."

Callium loaded a fresh mag into his rifle, one of his last, and looked to his companions for their response.

He gave a nod and drew of all things a sword , one that was only a replica of a legendary blade . However still sharp enough to rip through flesh with relative ease , he made his way to the bandit keep with haste . Using the cover of ally fire to cut as many of the enemy down as he could , being quick about it as well . He had no time to rest however , as it seemed each time they dropped one of the thugs . That two more would pop out to replace them . He was quickly hitting his limit , his body screaming at him to stop . He would not let up the pressure on them however , hoping against hope that they could win this day .

It was about a day or two since I left Haru, and while I was intending on finding my way out of here, it seems that the desert had other ideas. Just off the side, I heard the sound of gunfire. Did someone need help? Rushing off towards the noise of battle, I discovered a dark-skinned lady on top of a sand dune firing some type of mounted sniper rifle. From the sound of it, she was pretty accurate.

The moment I started walking up the dune, she spun around and aimed the gun at me.

"Watch it, lady!" I retorted, holding my staff up.

"Don't startle me like that!" she hissed, turning back towards the fight.

"Can you at least explain what's going on?" I asked as I caught up to her at the top.

"This is a bandit camp," she replied, aiming at a guy in black leather. With a single shot, the poor guy got his brains blown out. "If you can't fight, then leave; I can't afford any distractions."

"I can fight, alright," I finished, sliding my way down the dune into the battlefield.

While they might have been under sniper fire , and a frontal assault now as well . The bandits did not seem to let up , trying to push back against the invasion . A crack shot on the ground spotting the sniper , but his own weapon lacking the firepower to connect with any accuracy . Their leader and the bane of this area of the endless dunes making himself known now , a nearly eight foot tall monster of a man grabbing the swordsman who had rushed them and lifting him high in the air with just one hand . With a flick of his wrist and a shift of his feet planting the male into the ground head first like a railroad spike , giving a rather intense look at the remaining approaching force .

" BRING IT ON I WILL BREAK EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU "

A much smaller man with glasses walked out from behind this titan of a man , seeming to be the one directing traffic . Blue hair falling off to one side of his face . His tone icy and downright calm even , motioning to the gigantic male on who to go after next

" Close the gap between yourself and the marksman at three O clock , someone with that talent will give us quite some trouble you know "

The monstrous human nodded and quickly made for Veldriss last known location , the intent quite clear . The man giving orders was clearly the one in charge down here , Callium knew that face well . It was the same man that killed Typhones parents , as well as was responsible for his own family .

He gave a kick to Typhone hearing him cough and rolling him over with a foot , looking down and sounding quite disappointed .

" Ah so you lived after-all , a pity .. I suppose I will have to correct this mistake . "

He slowly pulled a revolver of custom make from a pocket inside his shirt firing no less then three times into the male at his feet , all three were non lethal blows . A show of his endless cruelty and hatred for all things , he let out a dull chuckle .

" Three more rounds left too , and now your arm and both legs will be quite useless for a while . This is quite the fun game don't you agree ? "

As I entered the battle, I barely avoided the attention of a tall man with a giant sword. I frowned when I heard another person advising him to take out the sniper; I don't know much about guns, but I knew that snipers weren't meant to deal with enemies at close range. If she didn't have any other guns, she was probably going to get her behind handed to her.

I raised my staff, ready to attack the hulking man, when the sound of three gunshots in a row caught my attention. Looking at the warzone again, I saw that one of the bandits was currently holding a guy at gunpoint. Considering the pool of blood welling up underneath him, he had already been shot at.

If I helped him out, the lady at the top of the dune would have to fight off a giant, but if I helped her, he'd die. Since the man couldn't really defend himself, my choice was clear. I pointed my staff at the blue-haired man and shouted "A'max!" He only had the time to turn around and shoot in my general direction before he became engulfed in a pillar of fire. He stumbled backwards out of the column, but I had enough time to reach the other guy. With a single word, I surrounded him with a golden barrier.

When the bandit recovered, I closed the distance and bashed him in the gut with my staff. Before he could counter me, I knocked the gun out of his hand and summoned another pillar of fire between us. I backed up to the guy I was protecting and waved over at (hopefully) one of his teammates. "Hey, this guy needs help! Carry him away from the battle!"
