Cold
#1
"There's nobody coming," said the first knight parked near the Fountain of Infinity.

"Let's give it a little bit longer," his partner insisted. He got an annoyed look as a response, but he didn't seem to mind. "If we leave and some Prime shows up and goes to Coruscant, we're gonna be in trouble."

The other rolled his eyes. He was about to respond with a sarcastic comment, but then they heard it. There was a splashing sound, followed by a gasp. Both of them immediately turned their heads to stare at the Fountain. Neither had seen a Prime appear. This is where they heard Primes were born in the Omniverse, but to see it in real time? To know that Omni had literally brought someone to this place right in front of them? It was a surreal sight.

When the pale hand reached out from the fountain to grasp the inside ledge, it was completely dry. Using that grip as weight, the body of a newly born Prime appeared to hoist itself out of the fountain and roll smoothly out, onto the smooth ground underneath. First, it was the heavy weather boots that thudded on impact with the bright white floor. Looking further upwards was a loud arctic blue jacket and black pants, as if the occupant inside the outfit had just come out of a blizzard. Atop the head of the person inside was a black mask covering the face, and a blue hood covered in light brown fur. It looked like an eskimo had just stumbled it's way into the Omniverse.

"Wh-wh-wh-wh..." stammered the first knight. He was shocked that anybody would appear, much less some guy dressed as if he was expecting a blizzard. "Who are you?" He asked, swallowing the knot stuck in his throat. This was terrifying, now that he had a chance to really assess how he was feeling. This was a Prime! He could do whatever he wanted to a secondary like him.

His partner was much calmer. "What is your name, Prime?" the braver knight asked. He was obviously not afraid of duty, even if it meant getting in the way of a bad Prime.

The figure in front of them was looking around. They could see the person's eyes...and only their eyes. They were sharp and powerful as they surveyed the area around them curiously. They had just listened to a speech from Omni before being thrusted into the Fountain of Infinity. Now they were seeing this place for the first time. The figure then looked over at the knights - who looked way out of place - with curiosity. They brought their hand up to their face and pulled the ski mask down to their neck. Underneath was a bony-faced face who furrowed his brows. "Where I'm from, they call me...Cold." He said it sternly, as if he were narrating over something. "Who are you?"

The more talkative of the two knights looked at his partner to confirm he was still scared and unsure of what to say. Once he saw he was in no condition to say anything intelligent, he took the reigns of the conversation. "We are Knights of Camelot. We are here to guide you to our Kingdom, where you can see the most prominent verse in the Omniverse on display."

The man known as Cold stared at the two. Specifically, he targeted the knight that was stammering, almost literally shaking in his boots. His gaze was strong and intimidating. "Why should I bother?"

The taller knight began to speak. "Well, because-"

"No," the blue stranger interrupted. "I'm not asking you anymore. I'm asking him." He nodded his head at the cowering knight who was content to let his partner handle the interaction. This stranger had sensed his terror, and was demanding he join in. "If I'm going to follow anyone, it's not going to be the man that is shaking in his armor." Cold stepped forward, causing both men to back up defensively. One reached for his sword. The other didn't reach for anything. That was the one Cold was stepping towards. "So tell me, Knight In Shining Armor. Why should I go to your Camelot?"

The man gulped again, terrified. Cold was almost right in his face. He was staring him down with that fierce glare. But somehow, then younger knight stood up tall, puffing his plate-covered chest out and said: "Because we're telling you to. You...you don't have a choice. We're under orders to bring any new Primes in today. No Primes can go to Coruscant today."

That was good information to have. Cold processed it for a moment. This Camelot was diverting all Primes to their place, thus halting the flow to this other place...Coruscant. Cold let out a small 'huh' as if he was surprised/impressed by the stones that the knight suddenly grew, and then nodded his head. "Lead the way, then." He put his hands up, as if offering to follow.

The two knights exchanged a look and nodded at each other. They had succeeded in not only getting this Prime to follow, but also in ensuring the stormtroopers of Coruscant didn't know about it. They both turned and walked on either side of the man who introduced himself as Cold.

For his part, Cold was constantly calculating his situation. He didn't have his Cold Gun, so he knew he couldn't fight these two bare-handed while they had very sharp-looking blades. But if this Omni character was to be believed, then he could easily summon his weapon later once he figured out how. Following these grunts was an easy way to get to a populated city and then figure out what to do on his own.

His name was Leonard Snart. An innocent name. A seemingly non-threatening name. But his world...his world was Cold and Dark.

Until then, he kept listening. Kept waiting for the right moment. He had fought scarlet speedsters and had traveled time and space. But more important then all of those things - he was a thief. A damn good thief. This was nothing more then another puzzle to solve. And once he solved it...once the riddle was deciphered...no Knights in Shining Armor were going to stop him from taking what he wanted.
