The duo dropped from the beastly woman's grip, their foe's three, hulking, arms dropping with them. The ground was comforting, albeit dusty and hard. Minato and Kakashi stood as the woman howled, the pain from Kakashi's Raikiri forcing her to take a second to recompose herself. As she did, the duo watched her arms lay still on the ground. Black, inky, ooze pouring out of both the severed ends and the woman's body.
“Thank you Kakashi.” Minato spoke as the two returned their attention to the, now, one-armed woman. She had gotten through the pain, the energy that coursed through her veins had already cauterised the wounds. She was a resilient woman, he'd give her that. Then again he had survived being run through by the Nine Tailed Fox's claw, even if it was only for a few minutes.
“Cockroaches...” The woman muttered, grasping her weapon again, in her remaining arm. “That's what you three are. You're all Cockroaches! You get in the way, you try to spoil everything and all you're good for is being squashed!' the Orc roared, as furious as she was, they could tell that she was on her last leg. But, she had also been backed into a corner, she was at her most dangerous now. Letting loose another booming howl, she took a step forward as the ninja duo took a step backward.
She swung her gnarled staff-blade horizontally in front of her, cutting an inky black line in the air. The two had but only a fraction of a second to react, Minato ducking down to the ground as his partner leaned into a back handspring, to dodge the black projectiles that spawned from the woman's swing. They embedded themselves into the crater walls behind the two as Minato joined Kakashi, once again.
“He's around.” the former hokage whispered softly, Kakashi nodding in response as the pair readied themselves for their own offence.
“What are you whispering about?” The woman growled, before letting out a scoff “Ah, it doesn't matter. You'll be dead before long.” She grinned, taking a second to look around before her grin turned into a smirk. “I guess Galan left you to die.”
Their expressions did not change, even when they stared death in the face the looks in their eyes failed to waiver. Minato's Sage Mode and Kakashi's Kaimon made the two shinobi deadly on their own, As a pair they were probably unstoppable.
Minato was first to react as the woman drew her weapon again. He wasn't going to let her cause any more destruction. He brought his hands back, by his side, as he dashed across the field. The man leapt into the air, funnelling chakra into his technique as it pushed his hands further apart.
“Rasengan-HA!” The yellow haired man exclaimed as he thrust his Rasengan into the woman's chest, Knocking her off balance and onto her back with the sheer size and power of his technique. Kakashi hadn't been slacking either, he'd taken the time to prepare his own attack as well and, without giving her time to recover, he ripped a path through the battlefield towards his foe. Lightning and the sounds of chirping birds filled the area as the scarecrow thrush his Raikiri into the woman's waist, piercing it and spilling her black, ooze-like, blood. The Woman howled, pain shooting through her body as a fierce wave of energy pushed the duo across the battlefield.
The duo, now rising to their feet, watched as the woman muttered some words that they didn't understand. Her weapon began to shimmer with a grey light as she held it above her head, violent winds whipping small stones and rocks past the duo, their bodies were bruised and battered. Minato found himself without his kunai, and he'd burned away the seal, that he placed on the woman, with his last attack.
He glanced of at Kakashi, his partner looked about as battered as he felt. The wind that emanated from the woman's weapon pushed loose hair and clothing around wildly. He only had one option left, he just had to make a break for it and hope he could make it in time. Minato began preparing his rasengan, he was ready to counter whatever attack was coming their way.
“Oh no you don't!” The woman screamed, thrusting her weapon downwards. A burst of air swept through the field as her weapon was met with resistance. Her face curled into a twisted frown as she looked down at her opponent. “Galan!” she yelled, disdain and disgust in her voice.
“I didn't want to do this. Magic can be very intoxicating to elves.” Galan sighed as he, almost, effortlessly pushed her weapon back into the air. His hair whipped with the rush of air that continued to emanate from her weapon, but it was different, it glowed a bright hot amber. His eyes shared the same quality.
Minato's pupils constricted, this was his chance. This was the moment that the elf had waited for, the opening he was waiting to create, and the former Kage wasn't going to waste this moment.
Kakashi watched as their battle came to a close, but not in their favour, his companion wasn't fast enough. He'd taken too much damage and he was too fatigued. Kakashi tried to join his mentor, but fell short as his leg erupted with pain. Kakashi stopped, glancing down at his right thigh, as a smile formed underneath his mask. It was the former Kage's kunai. Kakashi pulled it from his leg, crimson liquid dribbling down his leg as Kakashi lined up his throw.
“It's now or never.” The masked shinobi mouthed as he tossed the projectile, deliberately throwing it past the blonde's hair.
A flash of silver flew by the blonde ninja's head. He glanced back at his companion letting off a smile as the blonde activated his teleportation technique, a flash of yellow light replacing the man in only a fraction of a second.
“RASENGAN!!!” Minato howled as he reappeared at the kunai, it had made it to the air above the woman's weapon. He scooped it up with his free, left, hand and then spun in mid air as he thrust his Big Ball rasengan into the woman's weapon. The steel blade made a horrid squealing sound as Minato's rasengan tore it, and the rest of the woman's weapon, apart.
“NO NO NO NO! This wasn't how it was supposed to be!” the orsimer woman shouted as Minato's rasengan continued it's path, tearing apart her arm. Flecks of black, gooey, blood latched onto his cheeks as he destroyed the woman's only remaining arm. The last thing the woman saw of the man, as she toppled over onto her back, was his orange, amphibian-like eyes. Minato landed, clumsily, on what was left of the granite floor, rolling a good three or four feet away from their enemy and towards Galan.
“I'll grow them back! I can always regrow my arms with magic!” The woman screamed desperately. She rolled around, struggling, as she tried to sit up. “The Daedra have blessed me with their power. I will DESTROY you all!” Her words fell on deaf ears as Galan's hair and eyes returned to normal.
“You will pay for what you've done.” Galan spoke. His words were calm but his intentions carried pain. The elvish man pulled a piece of paper from his clothing. A strange glyph filled the paper. Galan placed I on the ground beneath the woman's feet. “You'll pay for killing my son.” Galan spoke as the piece of paper expanded into a portal. Screaming and crying filled the area as black tendrils dragged her into the portal.
“Not this, anything but this! Kill me just, please, don't send me there!” The woman howled as she tried her hardest to resist the tendrils. But it was no use. The woman howled, this time out of fear, as the portal closed behind her.
“Have fun down there...” Galan spoke as he turned back to the duo. The elf composed himself before moving towards his golden haired comrade.
“Thank you. Now let me and my kin get you back to the hospital.” Galan spoke as Minato nodded at the blood elf's comment.
