I stepped out of the gate, and was momentarily blinded. I looked around and saw what appeared to be a savanna, with tall grass and a few trees scattered around the area. A pale blue sky with no clouds shined above me, and the sun bore down a blazing heat, a little uncomfortable, but not completely unbearable.
I looked around, spotting a settlement, and made my way towards it. A short walk I found myself in a small village centered around an oasis. Everything seemed to be centered around one building, which I quickly made my way to, hoping someone inside would be able to tell me about this place.
I walked in, and nobody seemed to care. Everybody was busy doing their own activities. Some people were sitting around a bar drinking, others sitting around tables, gambling. Some people were just standing around, as if they were there because they had nowhere else to go.
Everyone was talking. Some people about drinks, about friends, disputes over the value of an item, about how much money was owed to this particular person, if they wanted to live to see the light of day again. I watched one group play a game of cards from a small distance. They seemed to not being enjoying themselves, as if they weren’t really there for the game.
They quickly proved to be painfully boring to watch. Nobody was playing smartly, or bothered trying to hide their emotions. I moved over to the bar and sat down. I waved off the man behind it before resting my head down on it.
It didn’t take long until I realized I had made a mistake. Within a few minutes, someone was stood over me, threatening me with death if I didn’t give them the seat so they could have a drink. I walked out of the building, careful to make sure the person stayed behind and didn’t follow me.
I glanced back in the direction of the gate, unsure if I should stay here or not...

Yukki walked outside and leaned against the wall of a nearby building. Focusing his energy into his palm, he toyed around with the omnilium inside him until he held a black smartphone. Of course, he got a few looks while he was doing it, and suddenly felt the need to leave town before someone try to kill him. If there was one thing he knew, it was when his stay was up. He began walking away from the gate, further into the dunes.
Very quickly he became surrounded in the never ending sand piles that is most of the dunes. He searched for civilization for hours, unable to find anything. Yukki began stumbling, his throat dry. He tried summoning in some water, but found that for some reason, probably a lack of concentration, he was unable. He eventually passed out, lying face down in the sand.
He awoke some time later. He found himself looking at an old man who was looking right back at him. Yukki sat up and reached for his gun, only to find it missing. The old man leaned back and laughed. Yukki began to look around where he was. He was in a room made out of some kind of orange brick. Around the room were different wall hangings, from pictures of people, to maps, to paintings of savannas.
He appeared to be in some sort of bedroom, given by the bed he was laying on, the end table next to him, the bookshelf across from him, and the desk on the wall next to him. The old man gt up and walked out of the room. Yukki sat up, wanting to get out of unknwn area and get back to the area he was more familiar with. Just as he stood up, a boy walked into the room, and was surprised to see him standing.
“We found you out in the desert. You were on the brink of death, how are you standing already?” The boy put down a tray of food he had been carrying on the desk next to Yukki, who stood in silence. “Nobody can survive out there for more than a few hours, and you looked like you had been laying there for awhile. You were almost completely covered in sand when we found you!”
Yukki started to walk past the boy, but the boy reached out and grabbed his jacket sleeve. “Tell me how you did it!” Yukki pulled his arm free and turned to the boy. “I don’t know. I was unconscious.” He looked around again. “Where am I?”
The boy gave a small pout, but answered his question. “You’re in my house. Well, it’s technically my grandfather’s, but once he dies it’ll be mine! We live in a small town that we call Dracwick. It’s not much, and as a result, we don’t get many visitors. In fact, I don’t remember a time where we did get a visitor…” The young boy slowed down his hurried speech as the old man, which Yukki presumed to be his grandfather walked back into the room.
“Damien! Stop bothering our guest with your petty questions! Have you collected the water like I asked you to?” Damien shook his head slowly. “Then go do it! Leave the two of us alone!” the old man glared at the boy, who walked out looking defeated.
The old man turned to Yukki. “Don’t mind him, he’ll perk up in a few minutes. So... “ He seemed to pause, as if choosing his next words carefully. “My name is Samuel. What about you?”
Yukki paused momentarily, wondering if he should trust this man. Well, he did save a complete stranger’s life. “My name is Yukki.” he said very quickly, yet calmly. The Man nodded.
“And, where exactly are you from, Yukki?” He asked.
Yukki laughed a little. Where was he from? “Do you mean where did I come from before in the omniverse, or where was I before I was brought here?” The man’s eyes widened in horror.
“Leave. Leave! You must leave, now, and don’t come back! You’re precious gate is that way!” He pointed out the door. Yukki was taken aback by his sudden outburst, but decided to listen to what he said. He got up and walked out of the door.

Yukki walked out of the house and into the village of Dracwick. Looking around, Yukki saw people walking around the town, occasionally exchanging a kind greeting, but usually just going about their way. He rested on the ground outside a random house he found, wanting to put a little distance between himself and the man that had freaked out for no reason. As he waited, he summoned his pistol back to him, and put it away inside his jacket. He pulled out his smartphone and looked into the contacts. He got the feeling that his phone would be automatically updated as he came into contact with people who also had a phone.
He sighed as he saw nobody in his contacts list. Scarlet didn’t have a phone, and Reuben had no reason to summon one from what he could tell. He put it away, and looked off in the direction he had been told was towards the gate. He walked to the edge of the town, and wondered if he was ever going to see this place again. As he wondered, he stopped and considered something he hadn’t before. He had passed out before from just randomly walking in the dunes, what was going to stop him from just passing out again, and this time dying instead of being found?
As he wondered, he came to one conclusion. He was going to need a way to travel. He thought about it for a few minutes, stumped. A few became ten, and ten led to half an hour. Eventually, he thought of something. What if he could use the omnillium he had control over to create a way to travel the dunes effectively, and then just absorbed it once he reached his destination?
He thought about it, and decided that it was worth a shot. What had Omni said about omnillium after all? “With it, anything I desire will be mine.” Yukki gave a small laugh. Time to test that theory. It took a lot longer than any other thing he had created or summoned with omnillium, but he assumed that was because of the size. Even still, it only took a few minutes. He watched as the rainbow bubble in front of him turned into a jet black dirt bike with red highlights running down the sides.
As he moved to get on the bike, he noticed that he had gathered a crowd around him, who were all watching in amazement at what he had just done. He gave a small grin, a quick salute, and rode of in the direction of the gate, unaware that he had just pissed off the man who had tried to get him to leave quietly.

As he rode across the dunes, he found that at first it was a little challenging to control the bike on the sand, especially as he rode over sand dunes and around the occasional cactus. He considered stopping to summon a helmet, but decided against it as he didn’t know how far away the gate was. Eventually he got the hang of it, and began even having fun with it, jumping off high sand dunes and other tricks. He hoped he was even going in the direction, for all he knew, the old man could have just sent him further into the dunes than he had been in before.
After riding for a few hours, he began to doubt that he would ever see civilization again in this lifetime, or if he would die before he could reach another person. He noticed that he didn’t seem to be running out of gas, or if the bike even took gas, as the fuel meter hadn’t dropped below full. Maybe it was because of the omnillium? He didn’t bother thinking about it too much. These were just things he had to get used to living in the omniverse.
Yukki thought about where he would go once he got out of the dunes. He already knew he didn’t want to stay in the dunes, and he didn’t want to go back to coruscant either. He eventually came to the conclusion that he would find out more information about the omniverse, and figure out where he would go from there. Maybe there was somewhere that he could live out his life peacefully, without waking up every day worried about if he was being hunted by someone.
After several more hours of riding, he eventually saw a small village in the distance. As he rode towards it, he realized that it was the area with the gate to the nexus, and that it was where he had first arrived in the dunes. He stopped just outside the village, and extracted the omnillium from the bike, keeping the knowledge that he could summon in vehicles as well as items and weapons.
He began walking around the village, and eventually found himself being dragged towards the bar that he had been in earlier, the one that looked like it had been made in the fifties. He chatted with different people, and learned different things about the world he was now living in. Yukki eventually decided that his next stop would be in the vasty deep, a verse that he had been told was mostly ocean and was darted with islands, many of which were undiscovered. He would look into joining the imperial navy, and seeing if his skills could be of any use to the navy, especially after he was told that they were mostly separated from the main imperial force in Coruscant.
With a new purpose in mind, he stepped out of the bar, and began walking to the gate. When he got to the gate, he turned and looked back over the savannah, now knowing that’s it’s peaceful looks were deceiving, like so many other things in the omniverse, and stepped out into the nexus.
