Carolina woke up with a groggy shake of her head. This wasn't right, this wasn't okay, this wasn't even quantifiable! She had been on her way to save them. Her friends were in danger and she had to protect them. They needed her and she wasn't going to let them down....not again. So how had she ended up in some black void floating around aimlessly. She tried to voice her frustrations and found herself unable to utter even the most basic noise. She was about to panic when a lone glimmering figure appeared before her.
No. This wasn't right. They needed her and she was failing them again. She had to get back and save them. She wanted to scream, to beg "Omni" to let her go back to her friends. What could it possibly need her here for anyway. Omni said she interested him and that was what had brought her here. Well Omni could kiss her ass.
So that's the deal? A material that could grant desires, others who she would have to compete or in exchange for the wish granting substance, and... respawning? There was no way this thing could be serious. Dead is dead and nothing could change when someone's time comes, as much as Carolina wished she could. Before she could ponder the ramifications of immortality however, she was caught up in the darkness all around her fading.
The darkness gave way to a fountain in a completely white landscape. She slowly stood herself up from her former position on her back and took a look around. She saw nothing inher immediate vicinity except the aforementioned fountain, although in the distance she saw a blot in what appeared to be each cardinal direction.
"Where the hell am I?" She wondered aloud as she gazed at the vast open expanse around her. She instantly reached to her back and was glad to find that her battle rifle was still there. She then decided to check the rest of her equipment and found only her grappling hook and a combat knife on her person.
"It'll have to do I guess. Still, if that Omni guy wanted me to entertain him he could have left me with a few directions," the ex-freelancer said to herself. She looked down the scope of her battle rifle to try and see what the blot in the distance was but she still couldn't quite make it out. Having little other options at this point she decided her best bet was to heat towards it and hope there was something there.
Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.
“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.
“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

"If you don’t say 'goodbye,' then you aren't really gone. You...just aren't here right now."
