Deep Questions

I had a few questions regarding the Vasty Deep.

The starting area in Vasty, Costa Del Sol, is from the Final Fantasy universe. Are locations and NPCs from the respective universes of Primes recognizable? Some kind of Deja vu thing or completely foreign since being pulled from their canon? Is the military presence obvious? Is it all pirates or something or are there still Storm Troopers and the like?

Related; is Impel Down just as it's described in the One Piece wiki (I've never seen the show)? How difficult would a jailbreak be? Are there guards and such, or just demons and shit?

About NPCs: I didn't see a thread about Mewtwo; where in the chronology was he taken from? And with roaming NPCs, do I search for them and then ask in IC discussion to see if I've "earned" the meet, or is it a simple a couple posts in "oh, there he is" and just write?

Costa and the surrounding waters are pretty Coruscant-heavy, with stormtroopers and the whatnot. Given the size and contents of the verse and the city being at the gate, I imagine they would want to heavily secure the tower.

Greg is the One Piece guy, so I can only assume that the prison would be similar to how it is in the canon/wiki. I'm sure there are probably differences, given this is the Omniverse (there'd probably be stormtroopers, space marines, and others from Coruscant along with locals from Vasty Deep). You could attempt a jailbreak, but remember that such an action, whether it ends in failure or success, would result in a bounty being placed on your head. Probably a hefty one given the status of the prison.

I think Mewtwo is supposed to be taken from right after the end of the movie. I never watched the show, so I dunno if he appears in that or the manga, but I imagine it'd be safe to guess it's from the end of the movie, since he's supposed to be the 'good' leader of a neutral faction.

In general, I think it depends on the roaming NPC in question whether you can just casually encounter them or require staff input. Some, like Baron Victor, will be simple to find since he's a public figure with a loose schedule, or mercenaries like Whompt. Some are harder, given their lifestyle.

Another question: It has been established that certain zones can't have certain technological advancements and the like (no Pegasi in Coruscant, no mopeds in Camelot, etc.) What is the status of the 'Deep? Is everything stereotypical wooden pirate ships, or would aircraft carriers be commonplace?

Camelot is more that way because the people there choose it to be. You can achieve the same things from magic as from tech, anyway. The main difference is that they are OM-poor moreso than the Empire, although you can certainly see the effects of extreme poverty in Coruscant's lower levels. The outlying verses are more of a mix, though generally the Dunes and the Deep lie on the techier side and the Green and the Moors lie on the magicier side. What I'm saying is that someone could certainly choose to build an ugly metal tower somewhere in Camelot, it's just not the done thing.

The Deep is possibly the most diverse verse (elelel). That's because islands can have drastically different, self-contained cultures (this is probably one of the joys of writing One Piece, and why the guy has been writing it so long). You might see prehistoric islands, you might see ones that look like a mini-Coruscant. It's one of the most fun verses because you can make up your own locations (within reason).

Do you know if there's going to be an NPC page made up for Mewtwo? I plan on reaching him at some point and wanted to plan out what I was gonna do.

When you do, let me know and I can handle it. I imagine he'll be pretty akin to post-Pokemon Movie 1 Metwo in terms of powers and mindset, though.
