Stalker awoke in a lab. The reptilian creatures around it spoke, telling Stalker that it was a weapon. The product of the
Stalker Armor Experiment, designed to take down the greatest threat to the universe: a being known alternatively as the Hunter and as Samus Aran. This Hunter had destroyed worlds and wiped entire species from existence. The Hunter constantly harassed the settlements of the Space Pirates and had killed all who stood in her path. The leaders of the Pirates were gone, from Kraid, to Ridley, even to their ruler Mother Brain. All whom Aran deemed unfit to exist in her view of the universe were laid to waste.
Stalker was designed using the Hunter's own technology. Where the Pirates got this technology was never explained, nor was it inquired about. All Stalker knew was that the mere mention of Samus was enough to cause its blood to boil. Stalker's own past was likewise never elaborated on. The engineers who had awoken it assumed that the procedure had erased Stalker's memories and had assured it that the loss was for the best. Stalker was left to wonder about where it had come from, and why it had such animosity towards this woman.
After a brief training regimen, consisting mostly of vids taken of the Hunter's actions against the Pirates, Stalker was sent out to track down its foe. However, the search was fruitless. It seemed as though the Hunter had simply vanished once her mission of death was complete. Even attacking Federation bases, whom the Pirates explained were the primary employers and harborers of the monster, failed to garner a response. Feelings of frustration overwhelmed Stalker as it traveled between the stars in search of Aran. And just when those feelings reached their peak, everything around it vanished. Darkness enveloped Stalker and voice spoke to it. A being of light slowly formed from the void and explained everything to it. Everything except where the Hunter was. That, Stalker would need to discover on its own.

Power Beam(600): A blaster capable of firing off baseball-sized blasts of energy. Fires at a moderate pace. Can be charged to increased effect. While charging, Stalker can move, but attacking before the Beam is fully-charged will have a far weaker effect. The Power Beam represents the standard appearance of the arm cannon.
Sniper Beam(300): An extremely powerful (and slow firing) weapon. The Sniper Beam deals damage much like a charged Power Beam, yet the entire destructive force is focused into a less than a centimeter wide beam of energy. Because of how slowly the weapon fires (approximately once every few seconds), the Sniper Beam is best used to start off a battle, or to attack from hiding. Due to the concentrated power of the beam, it may be able to penetrate some materials (relative to Jaeger's ATK vs. the material's DEF). While utilizing this Beam, the arm cannon narrows and lengthens significantly, to about 3-4 feet in length and about half the normal diameter of the Power Beam, making the Sniper Beam unwieldy in combat.
Energy Shield(300): As the name implies, this item is a shield made of energy. Circular and orange in color, the Energy Shield can be created on either Stalker's left or right arm, depending on whether Stalker is in melee or ranged combat. Internal capacitors keep the shield from draining the main power of the suit until the shield is damaged. When the shield absorbs attacks, parts break off much like glass, until the shield is completely broken. While reforming the shield, which takes several seconds, Stalker's weaponry and physical enhancement technology operate at greatly reduced levels.
