Testing out a character from the Terminator Series

A completely new life was about to start for Marcus Wright, and nobody knew it was coming. The hybrid human/cyborg woke up with a jolt as he stared John Connor down on the table. He and the man were about to trade their lives for a better cause. John Connor was dying, and Marcus was about to become the hero to save the savior because without John Connor, the world would fall apart and maybe just maybe he would be making his life better for another person. Star and the young Kyle Reese held the man's hand as Marcus was falling into darkness...

Just as Kate Connor was about to place the final needle in, Marcus disappeared. What he saw next was bittersweet. There was a whiteness all around him and he was staring up at a desk, with a white figure named Omni telling him he wasn't in his world anymore.

It was bitter because John Connor was dying, Marcus wasn't there to save the man's life. Everyone would die because of him not being there! NO! NOOOOOOOO! Shit I was THIS close to saving his life! THIS CLOSE!

The figure just stared at him.

Marcus was angry both with the figure and himself. He screamed at himself and made sure he calmed down. Everything he'd known was gone... Hero to zero... Back to square one.
