Camelot Departure
#1
Alain had left the Colosseum mere moments after waking up in what people in Camelot apparently called an infirmary, arm inexplicably regenerated. Splitting headache and slightly damaged pride aside, he was feeling relatively fine. It could definitely be worse, but he was still a little irritable. Every encounter he had with other Primes had not ended well so far, and he simply wasn't used to getting his ass kicked so much.

Currently, he was riding on a summoned horse back to the Nexus gate. The mercenary didn't care much for Camelot. There were wizards like him here, but the lack of technology would be absolute torture if he planned to stay here. If he wanted to gain favor with a faction, he'd at least make sure that they had influence in a place that he could set up a base of operations without going insane. He knew that he probably relied a little too much on modern conveniences, but if he had the option, which he apparently did, he'd pick technology over magic.

Alain simply rode through the various villages, occasionally looking up to watch the few people that had not managed to make it to the Colosseum in time for the first fights fly there on pegasi. He internally grumbled about not thinking to summon a pegasus, but didn't stop to do so. He'd already summoned the horse, it'd be a waste of Omnilium to stop now.

Alain pulled out his phone when he was sure there was nobody else on the path. He didn't have any current plans, though finding one of the fabled Void Gates was certainly on the list. But going where few Primes had before would be risky. He'd have to know he was at least capable enough to take someone down. There had to be a reason why these gates weren't visited by everybody.

The mercenary looked through the bounty list again, and there wasn't much different from the last time he had checked. A lot of people had pissed off the Empire, but the being known as Nealaphh still stood out. From the description, it was a shadow-thing with mind-related powers, with not one, not two, but THREE bounties. This seperated it from the space marines, death knights and...other things, on there. Oh, and this Nealaphh also had a cult website. He still didn't read that. Alain knew he was probably being paranoid, but better safe than sorry.

Either way, this "Nealaphh" would do as an objective. Both major factions in this world were out for this thing's blood, and someone had to do something about it, so he might as well. A fair fight was probably suicide, though. He needed allies, no doubt this thing would have some friends of it's own. The problem was, he didn't know who would be interested. There didn't seem to be too many bounty hunters here. Gin, Lubbock and Mami might join, but he had forgotten to ask for contact information and there wasn't actually a guarantee they'd say yes. He also didn't know if they still had their devices, as he had yet to reincarnate at the Fountain to find out if they kept them upon resurrection or not.

Which left the obvious solution. The Dataverse. Of course, it'd be risky, considering the shadow...thing already had a website, meaning that it undoubtedly knew how the Omni-Internet worked. But he just didn't have the patience to look for Primes the old-fashioned way, so he just decided to go for it and hope for the best. With luck, he'd be able to prepare for the worst.

By the time he'd finished the bounty hunt post, which took a while due to nearly hitting travelers or buildings more times than he'd like to admit, he was back at the Nexus gate. Dismounting his horse, the mercenary looked behind the gate, and sure enough, his previously discarded motorbike was there. Alain glanced at his horse, which was already staring off into the distance. He shrugged to himself, thinking it'd probably be fine, and dragged the bike through the gate.
