Monthly awards have been away for a while, but now it's time for their triumphant return! Kinda? Over the winter, it has gestated, and now we have the much more casual Monthly Roundup. Essentially, I'll just be talking about the In-Character events of the month, and throwing out props to the writers involved.
It's not a big one this month, as we're coming out of hibernation. Lots of folks went to sleep for the winter holidays, and I was rather busy myself, but we picked up and thanks to a fresh advertising strategy now have lots of new members coming in. But we did see the beginning of the Rage of the Rathalos storyline, our first artefact hunt. Expect to see sparks by the end of February ....
We also finished up the Emperor's Jubilee storyline, climaxing with a gut-wrenching twist by our newest mod, Proto Man. I won't spoil it for those who haven't read it, but neither he nor Samus will be forgetting these events any time soon. Read it from the beginning here.
We also finally wrapped up The Scramble this month. With both King Bradley and Thrall returning to their respective regions, the Nexus is free ... for now. But you can be sure that agents from every faction have their eyes on the new arrivals, Dark Link and Jak Mar. With many Primes heading to Camelot to assist against the Rathalos, and the betrayal of those Primes at the Jubilee, could favor be slipping from the Empire towards the Kingdom? Only time will tell.
