At the risk of thread Necromancy, I decided to create a new topic
Having read the spaceverse thread I thought what if with the changing of how vehicles work, what if now is the time to bring in a limited space verse?
Mostly it'd be a solar system setting (at first) where each planet is the verses you can access through the Nexus. This would open up the planets to being bigger as well as give us some means of moving around in larger vehicles. It'd also eliminate some of the choke points that are the Gates while still allowing the Vita Compasses to work as expected maybe even make them more effective as they can direct you to the gate or directly at them in a straight line on another world.
Balancing space ships.
Treat them like characters and bases. If they are going function in combat beyond being a vehicle, they need moves assigned to them, and stats. Or they adopt the stats of their creators. I can see either one working. How do you convert a base into a starship? You upgrade it with an item of some sort. If you don't you have to use a flimsy vehicle to go up in space.
How do you prevent characters from being turned into the wicked witch of the east. Have you ever seen a person get hit either good or bad by a ship's turbolasers in Star Wars? Nope, those things are designed for ship to ship combat or razing cities, hitting puny people is tough as hell like Tec 7-10 range.
Repairing damaging in combat would require moves of their own, or days and days or repair work. Think of the fun of base assaults.
Funtimes:
Coruscant and Camelot can finally go to war. Floating Castles vs Star Destroyers. Eldritch Abominations vs Frigates. Space Hamsters vs Death Stars- wait.
It would also give us a means of moving around as groups while working together.
