Ghost in the Nexus
#1
Several days later, there was white all around Desco. White, that wasn't actually all that new from the last couple days. But this was different, her mind was suddenly alert, everything wasn't a daze of acceptance in a strange dream world, and those were some odd dreams. She remembered a couple bits of it but it was mostly a mish mash of nonsense. Who dreams of a cat with the body of the poptart coming in on a rainbow? Memories quickly evaporated as she started to refocus on reality, if this could be called reality. She was wearing a gray hooded cloak and drifted a little just above the ground in front of a oddly out of place two person water fountain with a brick foundation.

The world was empty around her. Wasn't this the Nexus? Desco could see the gates far in the distance, but the fountain didn't look like what it did the first time Desco was here. She stared at it for a while, but then shook her head and looked back out. There wasn't anyone here, completely barren and that was even stranger. The first time she was here it was not a busy place but there were still people to meet and greet, especially at the fountain. The second time, a ton of people in the chaos of gathering for Dante's Abyss.

What was Desco to do now? As she thought about it, standing still, she recalled that she had just finished helping daddy with his experiments. That led to her death, so she must be coming back now! Was Desco in the spirit world now? Was she a ghost? Desco looked like a ghost with this one. In a moment, that tentacled abomination she calls Yogsothoth appeared behind her and she really floated above the wrong. "Oooooo... Oooooo. OOOOOoooo!" Desco giggled for a bit but then frowned. Being a ghost wasn't any fun without any people around here.

Desco floated about for a little while aimlessly. But the way was completely clear, all she could see were the gates in the distance. She thought about it and started to go towards one. Desco didn't have anything else do do in this white void. She started to idlely think about where she would go next. If she could come back sometime, she would have to figure out where the Tangled Green was and visit Guu. She'd been there before, but Desco had never been to Ambrosia before. Desco thought idly about it as she floated towards the gate, but soon her thoughts were on more current matters like what would happen here. What if she passed through the gate? She couldn't hurry very quickly, but soon she floated to and passed through the gate.
