What they do isn't published as a courtesy to their owners. You could figure it out pretty easily by reading some of their work, though.

To my knowledge the last time this was mentioned Omni said that they'd just be lost as long as the person holding them was gone, unless it's one of large importance.

The only one I can see fitting a large role currently would be Goku's Indigo Star Piece. Not sure how long Alex wants to wait for them to come back before working something out there, but I imagine it'll be tossed back into rotation at some point if they don't return.

To my knowledge this hasn't happened (though I'd love if it did). The only two instances of artefacts resurfacing of which I'm aware are the Malefactor and the Tarrasque Armament. The latter is due to the Tarrasque having not actually died during the first encounter (so ripping another piece off makes sense) and the former I imagine is owing to the fact that it's sentient and it would make sense for it to resurface.

Of the last 3 site events that we had, one gave a unique artefact (Warlock Soulshard in Hero's Graveyard) and the other two only gave vanity items (Champion belts in Colosseum and DA16). Former artefacts like the Horcrux, Dragon's Maw, and Digital Uplink Device have remained gone. I think bringing some artefacts back has been considered, but what I mentioned above is the only official thing I've heard (I'd love to be corrected, though).

Okay, this is still somewhat related to this, so I'll post it here. It says Goku has an "Indigo Star Piece", but I can't find a reference to an Indigo star piece anywhere else. Is this a separate one, or is this either the blue or purple?

Okay, and now my second question related to the star piece. Is there a plan for how to possibly bring it back into the wild for other users to aquire, since it's a pretty important artifact and Goku is in the Archived rosters? Perhaps a new quest to find it lost somewhere in its original verse, or perhaps with someone hunting down and challenging Goku to it himself?

I ask these purely because the pieces interest me greatly, and I would like to know if we have these measures in place, not just for this piece, but for any star piece if the player was to become MIA.
