Where Are The Zombies?
#1
Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Chrystal stared at the weirdo who had kidnapped her somehow and was rambling on about an omniverse or something. She wasn't tied up or anything, but she couldn't bring herself to punch his lights out for some reason. Omni handed her a glimmering, multicolored orb, and she accepted it unthinkingly.

Quote:"This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."

What she desired most at that moment was to take his Omnilium and smash his face in with it, but she didn't think that that was what he was talking about.

Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn."

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

Quote:(OOC: Sorry, forgot to put Omni's words in a quote.)

Chrystal hadn't been paying much attention to her surroundings up until the darkness around her started to shift to white, and she found herself standing next to an hourglass that was seemingly frozen in time, with the pieces of sand frozen in place. She looked down and found herself standing on golden sand hat surrounded the hourglass a short ways before fading to a plain white landscape. The sky was a brilliant white as well, punctuated only by tiny dots at equal intervals in the distance all around her.

It was at that moment that she remembered what she had been doing right before winding up in this place. Where was the horde of zombies and other monsters that she had been fighting for her life? And an even more important question, where were her short swords. They must not have been on her person when she'd been kidnapped and transported here. If that Omnilium could give her anything she desired, then it could give her her swords, right? She knelt down and held her hands out, palms down. She closed her eyes and pictured her swords as best she could, picturing every detail, remembering their weight and the feel of the hilts. She opened her eyes three minutes later, and was both relieved, and surprised to see her short swords, sheaths and all laying on the ground in front of her. She quickly attached them to her belt before standing up and starting to walk towards a random dot on the horizon.

It had taken her two hours to reach the dot, during which she was able to make out more details. It was actually a large gate, made of polished metal and guarded by white armored soldiers. That meant that the other dots were likely other types of gates as well. She lifted her head high and strode forward, deciding it was best to appear like she knew what she was doing. There were probably other people that would take advantage of someone new to the place. Scratch that, like anywhere their would definitely be people who would do that.

She would discover how this place worked on the way, while appearing like she knew everything already, starting with walking through this gate portal thing. She walked right past the guards without stopping and continued into the gate and through it, starting her story rolling like an avalanche down a mountain, gaining speed and bringing everything down with it.
