Sushi. Just sushi.
Anyone can answer this question: what would your dream house/place of residence look like?
D'aww thanks ^.^ I think you are great to talk to as well and have a very friendly and welcoming personality.
DREAMHOUSE you say? Well I think a log cabin would be cool and kinda cozy, but then.. That's where all the horror movies happen at hock:
The reason log cabin came to mind was because my friend had a really nice (and probably expensive) one that I fell in love with. Foresty and things like that are peaceful, perfect place to finish up that book you've been writing, eh Lubbock? *remembered*

As a newb in RP, I mostly just hang around, reading everyone's posts and go nuts everytime somthing new comes out on whatever character I am currently tracking. Somehow, it gets harder who to choose when just about everyone has a lot of awesome things built up.
Here's my question to everyone: How do you get yourself into "Writing Mode"? Do you do some kind of ritual? Take note every flash of brilliance in your passtime? Read something on your head? Sit on your white porcelain throne as you reevaluate your lifechoices? Drink a cup of tea, coffee, whatever Some other odd thing I haven't thought of? I usually just take a bath. (^-^)

I used to have one, but pretty much, I have a warm beverage, make sure my feet are covered (I have poor circulation and they get COLLLDD, which as you know can be a major distraction when trying to write something like "Gildarts stepped in lava" or some crazy thang. Other than that, if I just don't feel up to writing I come back to it later. The keyboard/screen/ whatever will still be there when I get back from something like a relaxing bath or to return from the gym. If I'm not writing, I'm probably reading, which I think flexes the same brain muscle.

I hope to get the chance to write with you down the line
Another question from me that can be answered by anyone, what other characters did you consider before settling on who you are playing now ?
@Victor- You are a really nice guy, and I'm not only glad you join the website when you did but that you continue to make an impact both as a character and as a stable OOC individual. I hope you stick around for the long term, because you have that perfect blend of traits in a member that I like to see.
(although, for the record, Jon Snow never wrote not awesome posts in DA)
For your question, I considered the Doctor (from Doctor Who). Ultimately I swapped out to Proto Man when I realized it would be a headache to make the character work here, although there are some times when I regret making such a snap decision rather than challenging myself to write a character like that so radically removed from his element. That regret is what ultimately led me to be Shang Tsung, who I expanded from his canon in such a way to make him much like an 'anti-Doctor.'
My question for anyone -- What motivates you to write? And not just 'jus cause,' it has to be deeper than that.

@Proto Man, firstly, you're just great and someone I'm glad to consider a friend. Talking to you about the Omniverse or whatever is always such a pleasure. But: I absolutely admire the level of commitment you are able to give to your characters even when times are getting rough, RL-wise. You seem to always find a way to dig into a produce super awesome posts with Proto and Shang no matter what is going on for you otherwise, and that ability is something I envy, for reasons which lead me into my answer to your question:
Really and truly, the Omniverse is the only place I write nowadays. I've been on lots of different sites before, and even tried my hand at creating my own stuff, but that's all sort of fallen to the wayside what with life and everything. I come to the Omniverse and write with Mickey (or, nowadays, with Gadge) to sort of escape everything else that is going on in my life. I like who I am here, and what I am able to accomplish, and it gives me time to sort of sit on a separate brainwave than the one I'm on when I'm at work, constantly thinking about how to better myself as an actor and professional. Unfortunately, I don't always get to do that because sometimes the stress of my work day kills my vibe to write, but really even just being here takes me away sometimes and I really appreciate that.
My question for anyone: if you could have your character enter into a romantic plot line with any other character on the site, seriously, which character would it be?

Thanks Proto, you are probably the best writer on site, nothing puts more emphasis on that point more than DA where you wrote for so many different characters with great consistency, all whilst managing a huge event. I am amazed that one person managed to host it so successfully, you also seem to be a pretty cool guy when you do come onto chat. I hope you host many more events in the future.
What motivates me to write is that I love being creative, but I suck at doing it, I tried music in high school but was really bad at it no matter how much I practiced, I tried art but my hand shakes when I write or draw so my handwriting and drawing/paintings look awful. However with writing especially online I feel like I can actually improve, its a fun way to release creativity and it also helps me improve a skill that is very useful in real life.

As always, you are truly a great admin. None of you guys are really absentee gods when it comes to this site, but out of all the rednames, you are legitimately outstanding. (Greg, Guu ♡♡ you too) On top of that, you're very real. What I mean is that you're not afraid to show your true emotions OOC and you are very down to earth.
Why do I write? I write because I have to. My mind is a constant boiling morasse of mixing ideas and nascent worlds waiting to be born. In short; I'm an artist, and I don't have a creative outlet like this or painting, I will literally go insane.
This question is for anyone, I guess: What drew you to roleplay in the first place? For me, my brother and I played make believe and built worlds since we could form coherent thought. It's such a fundamental part of who I am, I'm curious where other people hopped on.
Edit: Romantic sub plot? Nealaphh? Uhh..."this is not the [love] you know."
Kopaka on the other hand...I dunno, he's not a sentimental type, but he respects discipline and a sense of duty, so someone like Samus or Jon Snow would appeal to him. My brain short circuits when I picture him hugging anyone, though.
(Also, my wife doesn't like when I write romance with other people online, so I try to avoid it.)
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued

Never in my life have I ever met someone so hard-working as you are, Proto Alex Karl Jak Shang Tsung-man. I, as well as many others, appreciate everything you do for this site; you're like the pillars and the glue of this whole place, without you, I doubt the Omniverse as a website and role-play/writing environment would function as well as it does. Topping that off, you're a damn swell writer who deserves and earns every single bit of praise you get. You're just overall an incredible staffer and an amazing guy, and I could say more to fluff this up but I fear it would drag on for quite some time
Regarding your question: If you want me to answer this "in a deep way", I think it's important I tell y'all why I started role-playing the first place.
I began role-playing through internet venues about 5 years ago now. It was in a pretty rough spot in my life at that time; I was a thirteen year old kid going through the pains of puberty, stuck in school with few reliable friends. My Aspergers, tourettes and general soft-guy attitude made me a pretty easy target for bullying, and trust me, it was constant. Safe to say, I was at a pretty shitty point in my life, and role-play became my escape. My safe haven, my 'second chance' at life.
As I grew, I overcame all those difficult challenges and problems, but role-playing and writing is something that I've never stopped doing. It's one of those hobbies that I refuse to let go of yet simply because it works for me so well. I'm a writer simply because I feel like I have the right mindset for it; I'm a dreamer, a drifter and I'm always actively thinking of new ideas and prompts I can implement into my writing. In the time spent on this site, I feel as though I've been really able to grow as a writer, and I've got so many ideas in my head now that I'm really eager to put down to paper
Another question anyone may answer: Do you regret the path you've taken with your character, at all? Even if it's just bits of it? Is there anything you would change if you had the chance?
Edit: Mickey Mouse Wrote:My question for anyone: if you could have your character enter into a romantic plot line with any other character on the site, seriously, which character would it be?
Hrmmmmm...
Jon refuses to let himself fall in love again in fear of breaking his oaths of celibacy a second time, but if I could pair him with anyone, I'd honestly say Samus. Though the universes they hail from are both vastly different, their characteristics and personalities are both really similar in that they both believe heavily in justice and duty. Erza's another possibility since Jon has a weakness for red-heads mug: the relationship between Lightning and Jon hasn't been even explored yet, but there's something there maybeeeee?
For Alex... honestly, he's not a "lovey-dovey" kind of guy. He had a girlfriend before being infected with the Blacklight virus, but shit happened and he killed her... yeah ;3
If there was any far-off chance of a Ganondorf x Eighteen x Alex love-triangle plot line in which Ganon and Alex both compete for the girl, though, you can bet I'd jump on that

The romance question is really interesting to me, even if my answers are not:
Sinestro is super in love with Arin Sur, his late wife. I actually have an idea for a thread dealing with that. If he could somehow overcome his pain and fear of living without her, he'd probably be more open to the idea of another romance. He'd probably be most interested in a person that was driven to dramatically change the world for the better, and shared at least part of his idealism. I wouldn't mind either a male or a female partner, or whatever gender identity at all; I don't think it would matter very much. It's hard to narrow that list down.
The Bandit With No Name is a specifically asexual character. She doesn't think about romance, she wasn't MADE to. I can see her forming a close friendship with somebody, but anything romantic just isn't something she wants.

As for the last song I would ever hear this one is tough. I love music and classic rock is my thing, but a part of me still loves classical too.
That is why the last song I would ever want to hear is the Trooper Overture by 2Cellos This right here.
Close second, 2Cellos Thunderstruck Wooo!
Don't really have any questions of my own as of yet.

@Mickster: I haven't read much of your writing, and I feel really bad about that But from peoples' reports, I really want to now xD OOC, though you are an awesome person to talk to. I can't really say much else than that, because you're just an awesome person
In reply to your question...
Lubbock: He as a character wouldn't mind any chick, however, I on the other hand would think he would do best with Mami, as she seems to be basically the only female who can tolerate him, although that won't ever happen because GF says so.
Ruby: I'm not sure if there are any characters her age yet, but I think that she would possibly developing a crush on Kanda xD
Question for anyone: If you had a third character slot, who would that character be? This is slightly different from the 'who did you consider before' question.

Hey Lubba/Rose, you're a really interesting person. I'm glad you joined Dante's Abyss (to me, you were one of a few 'oh that semi-active person joined?! cool! people), because I really got to enjoy your writing, which may or may not have had to do anything with me having to brutalize and then regrettably kill him. Out-of-character, you're also a very nice guy (and we can never have enough of those on the website), so thank you!
If I had a third character, I'd play one of my older OCs, a serpentine warrior monk occultist by the name of Vaal'shalk/Damien who masquerades as an elf to infiltrate society and murder-kill people in his quest to free his god.
Or I'd played one of my chubbs (my previous RP experience) characters... because nostalgia.

Alex, my bruh, you are my bruh. You really inspired me to write in a more serious and "professional" way. I really can't thank you enough, because I can legitimately point to you and you specifically for sparking the interest back in me. And after I left writing for a bit, I can thank you for wrangling me back in.
I can't say thank you enough dude. Bruhs 4 lyfe.
I really struggle with who I want as an alt. I really thought about Sigfried from Chubbz, but I also really thought about writing as one of my characters from LARP. Tvard or Jorma would both be fun

@lubbock I would definitely want to play someone evil, as caira (before Dunes adventure) is lawful good, and Gildarts is chaotic good.
If I would choose what character, I would probably pull an OC from the SPN universe, because I saw a character that was really cool and I think had potential. "black dog" is pretty much a summoned demon, for someone who wants their wish granted. Rp fodder would be something along the lines of that, but honestly, I would much rather have her be an NPC as it would make duel sense that a prime would summon her(it) here in hopes of granting their wish/ finding Omni. Anyway, she (the demon) has its own set of rules, but is fiery as hell ( :rimshot: ) so I think out would be fun to play a balanced evil character and exclusively wreak havoc on other victims.
"Let's make a deal." Would probably be the theme of her existence, but I'm not sure I could play JUST an evil character, it might begin to feel lackluster.
Edit: down the line I may make her a site NPC, but she'd need to have a heavy set of rules just to exist and I'd need to work on her like crazy, and just don't have enough time to bring someone like this to fruition.

I honestly don't know you so I can't really compliment you without sounding fake. Your avatar does make me think you're Omni in chat though.
What inspired the name?
My name came from an alternate version of this character. When I first created the idea of Trixie/Beatrix back in 2008 I was looking for a name that would fit a red headed demon that was attracted to violence and malevolence.
(Am I doing this right?)
