Is that...?
#1
Akame's wandering was getting her no where. She had been walking for an hour now in no general direction, taking note of the gates in the distance. Each one having been about equal distance from the place she had appeared in, which she was sticking relatively close to. The gates each had different appearances that were hardly distinguishable from this distance.

However, she did see something that was way too distinguishable to not examine. Green hair and a trench coat? There was no one else that could be; it was Lubbock. Yeah, she was sure of it. She rushed off towards the figure to get a better look. She wanted to believe it, but there's no way he could be here, right?

Akame approached the figure, his back was turned and he was too distracted by something to notice her approach. It looked like he was messing around on his phone or something. "L-Lubbock? Is that you? That can't be you." She spoke like something was lodged in her throat, the build up of happiness would easily be crushed if this wasn't who she thought it was.

The lime headed perv continued looking at his device's screen for a few moments more, admiring his sneaky photography, but almost tossed it across the Nexus when a familiar voice peeped out behind him. Slowly sliding the phone into his coat pocket, he spun around to face a girl, with ebony hair the colour of deep midnight, and eyes like pools of blood. A katana with a red, white and black theme sat at her hip, along with crimson plating on the one opposite and on her wrists.

"A..." Lubbock found it difficult to choke out the name. He stood in disbelief, and amazingly, Syura stayed quiet. "A-Akame..." He finally pushed out, eyes sparkling in relief, like the sun flickering through a green, leafy canopy. "N-no way..." He approached her cautiously in disbelief, reaching out and gingerly touching her arm, before firmly and familiarly grasping her, feeling actual flesh under his fingers. "Akame..." The assassin said once more, before pulling her into a tight embrace. They simply stood there for a few moments, letting the silence of the Nexus embrace them.

"Lubbock..." Akame whispered into the boy's hair. "The base was... raided, by Doctor Stylish." She informed him, and he stood rigid, like a statue. "Bulll... shit..." He gasped, and Akame simply shook her head. "No, it's true. You'll be relieved to hear we won, though, and no one died... but I disappeared at the end, and came here." She explained, her hands tenderly resting on her friend's shoulderblades.

"Well... I guess that's all that matters, hey?" Lubbock responded, pulling away and staring into the female's eyes. "You won't believe the adventures I've had here. I'm just gonna say that the Omni dude wasn't kidding when he said we're immortal; I've died twice already." He said with a hearty chuckle. "I've met so many new people... Akame, I think you'll love it here. I just... I wish that the rest of Night Raid could have come. I'm really beginning to miss Tatsumi, and sis, and Mine... and Miss Na- I mean Boss." Lubbock said somberly, scratching the back of his neck.

"I know. I've only been here an hour or so, and I feel the same." Akame's eyes turned down also, and looked as if the scarlet pools that were her irises might melt into red tears. Lubbock gave her a light tap on her shoulder. "No point in fretting over it now. There ain't much we can do about it." He said with a soft gaze. "Yeah, I guess you're right..." The girl agreed, before looking up at him. "You know... for a perverted idiot-" Lubbock winced at that knife wound, "-you always have the right words to say. You're wiser than you let on." She praised him, but still seemed to leave the spotlight on the 'perverted idiot' part.

"Right... there's somewhere I really wanna go. And now that we're finally together, I guess I can actually get there finally!" Lubbock exclaimed, throwing both hands into the air as he began to stroll across the Nexus. "Do you wanna go on foot, or catch a ride?" He asked, looking to Akame. She simply shrugged, her eyes saying 'your choice'. With a light laugh, Lubbock shut his eyes and focused on the space in front of him, bringing a horse to life once more. Of course, since he had done it before it didn't take as long, but it still cost him more time than he would have liked.

The assassin hauled himself onto the steed and extended a hand down to Akame. "Alright, Akame, don't go telling me you're too cold to hop onto a horse with a guy." He jested, shoulders shuddering as he laughed. She seemed to be contemplating it, her facial expressions flitting between 'don't see why not' and 'don't wanna be on a horse with a perv'. At least, that was how Syura read it out to the assassin.

Akame embraced her long lost comrade, nearly unable to keep the tears from falling. The muscles in her faces tensed up as she tried not to cry. "L-Lubbock...I-I thought you were dead, we all did." Lubbock smiled, which Akame could not see since they were hugging. "Yeah...I thought you guys would think that. Akame remember about Shelle's death; Lubbock didn't know yet. How would he react? Shelle is dead, in fact she was slaughtered, cut in half and eaten. Not only that, but Jaeger's got ahold of Exstasse.

The words the big white guy said were true then. They could die and be reborn. That had made Akame wish Shelle had died here in the Omniverse. This would've made mission much less serious if all of her friends were not risking thier lives like in the world they were from.

Now Lubbock was doing something like she had done earlier; he was summoning a horse. It was just like summoning Murasame. Making a mental note of the fact that anything could be summoned in this world, Akame thought over whether she should hop on a horse with her perverted friend or just simply summon her own. No time to actually summon her own, she decided on the former and hopped up on the horse behind Lubbock, wrapping her arms around his midsection to make sure she would not fall off. Lubbock ordered his steed to move on and Akame debated on whether or not to Lubbock about Shelle. He deserves to know, Shelle was one of his friends, and she would not deny him that information. "Lubbock..." she said with a sorrowful tone, "I do have bad news." The green haired assassini turned to look back in interest, even if he could not see her. "What? What is it?"

"It's about Shelle..." she found it hard to speak her name out loud. Thinking about made her want to burst out in tears. "Oh no...did she...?"

Akame nodded behind him, "mhmm..." it wasn't long after you disappeared. Mine said she was...torn in half." It was clear to Lubbock that Akame was crying now. "And, not only that, but she was cut in half..." Lubbock's heart must have skipped a few beats; Shelle was slaughtered? She was so good at what she did, it was hard to imagine her dying in such a ruthless way. "That's really hard to believe, but I know you wouldn't joke with me like that," he responded.

The assassin duo approached the gate to Camelot. They'd be there in a good ten minutes if they keep a steady pace.

Having Akame at his hind as they reminisced about the people they had been made to leave behind, Lubbock couldn't help but wonder why it was them particularly - no, not just them, Esdeath too - who were brought to the Omniverse? There were thousands upon thousands of other warriors around the world who could have been chosen... so why them? There had to be a reason, and Lubbock would explore all the verses until he found out.

Lubbock's hands loosened around the reigns, but the steed continued surging forwards. "Sh... Sheele..." He gasped, tears beginning to form, but he quickly swiped the back of his hand across them, the wetness rubbing away. "H-how...? I mean... s-sure, she is - was - a giant clutz, or a walking disaster... but killing was her specialty. Sh-she... was honestly one of the best out of us." Lubbock recalled, in complete disbelief that the Extase wielder had been slain on the battlefield. Facing the hard truth was something they were all taught to do, however, and the assassin had to accept that and move on.

This Omniverse... where was it, in relation to their world? Hell, what even was outside their world? The population of the land had never made it much higher than the clouds - partially due to the deadly Danger Beasts that owned the skies, but also due to a lack of technology for such a feat. "Akame... where do you think we are?" He asked, before realising she might take the question at face value. "In relation to our world, I mean. It's really hard to tell, because in each of the verses, the stars, planets and even the sun are all different. I can't tell if it's another world, or a whole different dimension." He wondered, slowly forcing the somber thought of Sheele out of his mind. Finally the gate was coming into view, and Lubbock was washed with a shower of relief. "Finally... nearly there." He groaned, wishing the Nexus was smaller. "This place is too massive."

Akame was just as certain as Lubbock was. The Omniverse was an odd place, it was most surely not related to their world. "If I had to say, this is some kind of alternate universe of some kind, and whatever is behind those gates you're talking about are equal to planets?" The ebony haired girl's words came out uncertainly. It was extremely hard to tell what this place was, it could be anyone's best guess.

Without much of a motive now, Akame wonders what happens next. There didn't seem much of a means to return home, otherwise Omni hadn't made it clear. "Hey, Lubbock, what are we going to do now? We're away from the troubling times of the child emperor and his power mad uncle. So, what do the Night Raid members do now? Do we attempt to stop this "Omni" from bringing more innocent people to this place? What other choices do we have?" Akame gripped Lubbock a bit tighter, much to his satisfaction too, as they neared the gate to Camelot, readying herself to pass through it. She didn't know what would be behind this gate, nor would she go in unprepared for it. "So you said you've been here before, is it dangerous? What can we expect beyond this gate?"

Lubbock grinned slightly as Akame's arms wrapped around him more tightly, but snapped out of his delusion as Akame spoke. "Well, nothing seems to be inherently dangerous beyond the gate. No danger beasts to worry about. I'd say our biggest threat would be other power hungry primes that want to get in our way."

"You're telling me that all the people that Omni brought here are fighting with each other and killing one another? Playing right into his game? That is sickening." A typical response from Akame, she never liked anything that seem coherently evil or controlling. "Well, most just don't fear dying. It's not like it's the end of their lives, anyways. They just re-spawn at the fountain in the Nexus after a few days and carry on with killing who ever killed them, or even banish them to the Underverse if they're that pissed off at their rival." Akame's eyebrow perked up when the green haired assassin mentioned this "Banishment". "I'm guessing this is worse than death, will wanna be careful of that."

"Yes, from what I hear, the Underverse is pretty much a live-able hell on earth. Being sent there will be pretty bad yes, not to mention we could use this if need be, Esdeath is here in the Omniverse." Akame's heart nearly skipped a beat at that name. She was here? In a place like this? Last Akame heard she was out controlling an insurgence away from the capital. Now she's here? "H-How? How could Esdeath be here? When I entered the Omniverse, she was still in our world. If we had gotten pulled in at the same time, I would've seen her at the fountain, right? Or, maybe she got here before me."

"That would be the latter, considering she did kill me. We will deal with her, Akame, that will be our mission for now." The two went quiet as the approached the gate to Camelot. The horse they rode passed through the gate to reveal the wide expanse of trees and hills that was know as Camelot.
