"The future is not set. There is no fate then what we make" John's chance was now to end Skynet and the war all together. After a rousing speech to his troops, there was a mass of cheering. Kyle Reese has volunteered to go back to 1984 to end the war and the last ditch attempt to kill John. Just as John stood at the time displacement portal, he disappeared.
-----------------------------------
John's head hurt. He stood in a blank white area with a white figure staring at him as the figure began to speak. John listened intensely. But he frowned. They were about to win the war.. Kyle and Sarah .... !!!!!
The fountain In front of him was confusing. Was this a ruse of Skynet to confuse him?!! Only time would tell.

IRIS and Demetri made their way to through the cracked and sandy streets and proceeded to the Nexus gate. Demetri decided to keep his chain kunai hidden in his sleeve ran into trouble. and wrapped around his arms and wrists, just in case, anyone decided to follow. IRIS began to speak about the gates and the different verses before focusing on their next destination.
“There are only two main destinations in the Ashen Steppes, which is Death Mountain and the Koopa Kingdom. I believe we should be heading to the Koopa Kingdom, as that will be our best bet for finding this guy. Perhaps I can check if there are others in the area as well, so that we can travel with them. It’s a dangerous place, so the more the merrier!” The bot explained the details cheerfully as they walked.
Demetri paused for a moment to think about what the robot said as they passed through the gate, the sandy floor and ocean breeze came to a halt and was replaced with white. “Hmm…. that is interesting, I agree with you. Are you able to retrieve such information?”
The bot squeaked, “Of course, it’s what I do, after all. Let me check.” IRIS floated in place as it searched among the dataverse. “There seems to be a group heading to see Bowser, the king of the Troopa Kingdom, maybe we can go with them?”
“A king? I don’t usually associate with royalty, save for once or twice. However, if we must, then we shall go.” Demetri started to walk out into the Nexus in the direction of the Ashen gate, but IRIS didn’t follow.
“IRIS, what is troubling you?” Demetri asked, wondering why it had stopped.
“Um.. you aren’t going to summon a vehicle? It would make travelling much easier.” Demetri gave the machine a blank look. “Did you not know? You can do it the same way you summoned me!” Demetri thought for a moment, then crouched down.
“No, I did not have that information, I have much to learn. I wonder what I should summon then. Perhap a vehicle that can fly...” The informant stared at the blank floor as he thought, he had heard of attempts to make flying and motorized vehicles in his home world, but none had succeeded. The technology and physics in this world were unique, and IRIS was proof of that.
“Well, flying vehicles can only be summoned in Coruscant of Camelot. So if anything, you can create something that can float at best. That will also be good in the Ashen Steppes, the hot air makes it very aerodynamic.” IRIS suggested.
Demetri continued to think. Perhaps alky for ground vehicle with gliding capabilities would be the best choice. It would allow him to traverse most verses with relative ease, and the gliding would add extra function and capability, for whatever may lie ahead. Then, just like when he summoned IRIS, he sat down, focused and tried to visualize the vehicle. It would have a sleek metal design, slim, nothing to better access. There would be a large wheel on the front, attached to a motorized machine which would be responsible for most of its speed and power. The rear of the vehicle would need small flaps for rear lift and stabilization, and the sides would need retractable wings to allow easy switch between ground and air modes. Although this seemed simple, it took a great amount of focusing and time for Demetri to summon the vehicle, as visualizing it took more effort due to its size. IRIS watched intently as Demetri finished summoning the vehicle after a short time. It’s base metal was a dark black, with intricate designs colored in a dark, glowing blue. On the dash, behind the windshield was a small space in which IRIS could fit in.
“Ooh, that looks interesting, can’t say I’ve seen anything like it recorded on the dataverse. Let’s try it out!” IRIS hurried to its cozy seat and waited as Demetri stood up and took the driver’s seat. There weren't many controls besides a small lever to machine on, and the handlebars for steering, revving, and braking. Demetri hit the gas and off they went, heading to the Ashen Steppes.
After a short amount of time, they neared the fountain, and a few human figures could be seen by it. Perhaps a new prime? They decided to stop by, perhaps they could gain a new allies, or an early heads-up to future enemies. Either way, it was best for them to check it out.
They came close to the fountain and were met by a young man and woman who had seemed to just meet each other. From his senses, Demetri could tell they were rather new, and was already reading their status. they seemed formidable. There also seemed to be another person, perhaps behind the fountain?
“Greetings, I am Demetri. It looks to me that you are both new to this world.” Demetri removed the cloth covering his face while he spoke. He glanced at the fountain. “It also seems that there is one more prime here, blocked from view by the fountain.” As Demetri pointed out to the fountain to reveal the third prime, IRIS disengaged itself from its holder and cautiously peeked up over the dash at the man and woman.

John was thinking when a female with different looks appeared in front of him. Not a typical female in the sense of a word. However her body language was giving off tension even though she looked like she had good intentions. Being a trained soldier had its benefits and drawbacks. His first instinct was to keep cautious and not trust anyone. He frowned and said " it's a long story.." His weapon was instantly flipped out and his hands were trained to aim. He needed to know this wasn't Skynet here but right now he was out of time. The man held tight to the plasma and ECM and kept on guard. His eyes drifted onto a slightly normal human and sighed but what object started to alert him was that small robotic object talking. Was this robot good or evil? Was it working for Skynet or did he send it? His vision switched between the two humans and robot named "iris". He nodded slowly at the woman and looked over at the man aiming the gun at iris "do you work for Skynet!!"

Demetri kept a close eye on the man, who seemed to be some kind of soldier. He had a gun, similar to the empire soldiers, but clearly he was not a part of them. He wondered where these primes may be from, and whether or not they could be allies. When the soldier yelled out something about Skynet when IRIS revealed itself, Demetri readied his chains. Perhaps his companion reminded the soldier of a home world enemy. He could not take the chance of the prime taking a shot at IRIS.
"Sheathe your weapon, we mean no harm. We have no information on this Skynet that you speak of, nor are we affiliated with it." Demetri narrowed his eyes at the man, cautious of his next moves. IRIS glanced between the two new primes, not speaking due to the tension of the air. Demetri continued to gather information on the primes subconsciously, but something was wrong. He quickly glanced at the woman, curious to see what was different. The soldier noticed something as well and turned his attention to the woman, although he kept IRIS within his vision. The female had a blank stare, almost as if she were no longer there. IRIS was the first to approach, most likely since it was the most knowledgeable on primes.
It slowly floated over to the woman, its eye focused, curious yet confused. "Um... you don't look so good.... are you okay?" The bot floated around the woman, trying to see why she was in such a state.
A glint of worry then showed in the soldiers eyes. "Hey, stay away from her, machine!" His weapon was trained at IRIS as it turned to face him. Suddenly, the woman began to glow a bright white. It almost looked as if she were made of it as it shined out of small holes in her skin. None of the three knew what was happening. The bot began to slowly back up, cautious to what might happen next. The soldier kept its sights on IRIS. Demetri kept reading her stats. She glowed brighter and brighter. Each second felt like an eternity. Suddenly, Demetri noticed her stats wipe. There was nothing. No reading, no information, everything about her was just gone. She was glowing so bright by this time, that it hurt to look at her, and Demetri couldn't shake this bad feeling. He revealed his chain and whipped it towards IRIS, wrapping its end around the bot and pulling it back to him as he drove forward. The soldier followed suite and ran along with them. No longer than a second later, they heard an explosion behind them, and all three stopped and turned as Demetri released IRIS. In the place of the woman were large areas of white fire, which slowly burned out as the gave off enormous amounts of heat. There seemed to be no damage to the fountain or the ground of the Nexus, almost as if nothing had happened. Demetri quickly turned his attention to the soldier. He hoped that wherever he was pulled from didn't cause him to believe that this was their doing. He decided to speak first, hopefully keeping the soldiers attention away from them.
"Did that woman say anything to you before causing that event?"

The explosion was brief, but John's legs started to run as the lady exploded. After the explosion, John lifted his hand from his face. Another weight of a lost person to hang on his shoulder. John's eyes moved to the robot named Iris. The soldier kept his eyes on the strange man and Iris.
In a warzone, nobody wins. Here was no difference...
John had to reassure himself he was no longer in the future where he'd lead the troops to victory. He kept quiet and somewhat calm. He had many questions, he wanted answered now. There was no time to waste.
There would be no Sarah Connor or Kyle Reese here.
John looked at the man "I have questions, and i expect answers quickly."
"What year and time is it where I'm at now?"
2029 was still a longshot off for the former Leader of the Resistance, but what's a leader without his soldiers?
John started to listen to the other man's question and said "All i got from the woman was her name. It was Hypen.

Demetri stopped and thought about the soldier's question. The year? It never occurred to him to check the year of this world, as it seemed redundant to its purpose. Still, Demetri was curious as well. IRIS immediately shot up at the question, keeping its hands up to show that it meant no harm as it answered the soldiers's questions. "Okay! Well that's a pretty easy question. You are here in the omniverse, and it is considered year 10 of its era! You are also in the Nexus, where all Primes can be found when they are first summoned by Omni." The bot spoke cheerfully, careful not to let the situation escalate.
Demetri figured that the next two questions would come easily. Most likely about who they were. "And if you're wondering, this is IRIS, my machine companion which aids me in my quests. It is designed to extract and carry information for me." Demetri kept his eyes focused on the soldier as he listened, pausing briefly to let his words sink in before speaking again. "We happened to stop by on our way to the Ashen Steppes, North of here.

The soldier was still thinking a bit, but John's thoughts were immediately interrupted by the black haired man's response along with his robot friend. John's face showed that of battle torn days leading a war against the machines that they COULD OF won. But inwardly, John saw himself in a different position and not that of a leader but that fearless leader stuck in a new location that he possibly couldn't get out of. John's reflexes kicked in as the robot named IRIS began to immediately speak of where he was at. So... year 10? This would translate to the year 2015. The usual timeline would be messed up and a whole different timeline would begin for John, one where he would have to face new challenges, and try to deal with challenges of his own. John's head moved up to the robot speaking named IRIS and said "The...Nexus? This.. place was strange. Nothing was the same like he remembered it would and he couldn't be dead so it was like a bad nightmare for the former leader of the resistance.
"Companion?" John hadn't heard of a robot as a companion in a long time, not since his young days going around with a terminator designed to protect him. But this was the old days, this was now. The hardened solider held his head and gritted his teeth "Machines are not companions where I was from, you have to understand this. They killed 3,000,000 people during judgement day. We could of stopped that.
John would have to piece together his hatred of robots and terminators but that would have to be another time.
John could put what Ashen Steppes meant by the word Ash in it. "So you headed toward a volcano area?"
Just then, another man fell to the ground, and rolled next to the man named John Connor. This man had a red "Resistance" band on his coat, and kept his gun aimed at the robot named IRIS "Sir! Are you alright?!"
John Connor was just about to answer IRIS and Demetri and frowned "Wait.... what are you... doing here?"
The man saluted John and said "I just landed here sir, is this robot bothering you, Sir?!"
John turned "Solider, this isn't judgement day anymore... however the future war? How is it going? "
The man turned and nodded "We made some progress before we came here, but what i saw i don't remember, Connor sir."
The high ranked solider's name was John Connor and then turned to the two "I apologize for the rude welcoming. It's a long story."

Dmetri and IRIS watched as the soldier comtemplated their answers. He was correct to assume that there were volcanos and such where they were going. Suddenly, another soldier seemed to fall from the sky. Was this another prime? No... it seemed that he was summoned. The two soldiers conversed for a short minute and then the prime, Connor the soldier called him, turned and apologized to them. IRIS began to speak as it floated closer to the two.
"Oh, it looks like you were able to subconsciously summon a secondary, like myself! You must have a lot on your mind from your homeworld then to do such a thing. IRIS ovserved as it looked between the two soldiers.
Demetri spoke up as well."That's fine. I also have to apologize, as we must be going as well. If you wish, you may contact me with a comminator, and IRIS will relay the message to me. Any last questions before we go?"Demetri had gathered the information on the soldier, and he needed to travel to the
IRIS looked back at Demetri before nodding its head. "Oh, yeah, it seems that the group has already started on their mission, we are going to have to hurry and catch up."
IRIS then turned back to the soldiers as they waited for them to respond.

John eyed the strange man named Demetri.. "Right.. "
The man hid any signs of distrust of the strange machine named IRIS inside in case of the other soldier beside him picking up on the signs.
But was.. IRIS really worth trusting after he fought for so long to fight the machines back home only to end up in this strange world by himself. Not by himself... but with another soldier.
The man had other questions and remained straight and slightly tense-free. "Demetri, is it? What other things out there are worth taking caution about other than the machines.. I mean what else should I take caution of.. ?
The other resistance soldier was keeping note of the reactions between his leader and the other strange man and machine.
"What was connor thinking in the first place?"
There was a sudden tension in the man's legs, it's the words that sort of threw the soldier off. First
off, John had pushed his attempt to protect him aside for this.... stranger's machine friend..
Why would John push him off so easy unless... this machine was no threat whatsoever? He knew what he was doing here, right? Who knew.

Demetri watched the two men as the one named Connor spoke. It seemed that machines were a threat from where they came from, and he worried for what they thought of IRIS. Demetri gave a slight motion to IRIS to get behind him as he thought of what to say. As of the moment, he needed to watch out for the empire and its soldiers, since he had just infiltrated one of their bases. He considered them to work as part of the army or state of some sort. Perhaps IRIS could fill him in later. However, he believed that the primes were the most likely threat to each other. There hardly seemed to be anyone who could best a prime and from what he heard from the market about Dante's Abyss, when they conflicted, hell broke loose.
"I still have more to learn about this world, but I would say it depends who you side with. The inhabitants of this world vary, and none more than the ones like us who are summoned by the one called omni. I would be wary of those who are called primes, and try to see where in this universe you belong. We aren't home anymore. And from what it seems, you two are better off here than where ever you came from."
IRIS looked at the two men, who seemed to be trying to understand what was going on, and the other unnamed soldier seemed to be doubting his higher rankil. Demetri figured it was time to leave.
" I'll have IRIS relay a message to you soon, by what is called, E-mail. Good luck to the both of you."
With that, IRIS engaged into its seat and steam puffed from his vehicle as he started off again, heading for the Ashen.
