character selection help

Hi guys new guy here.
I've read a few of the rules and basic storyline but I couldn't come up with a character I wanted to use. In truth.. there are many I want to choose from but my longing for them are equal. I would like to know your opinion from the list below. Thank you for your help.

My most favored among the list would have to be either Android 17, Xemnas, Leon, Ichigo or Ulquiorra. I'm biased though because I prefer Anime and RPGs over FPS games.

I am a little to, but im really looking for group compatability as I want to include any of them with a group early on. Some characters just dont work as well as others when it comes to groups.

I mentioned this in the chat box earlier, but I'm kind of intending on playing as Master Chief for a second character, so we could always get a nice little story arc going if you played as Kurt or Guilty Spark. It probably wouldn't happen for a while, though, since I'm pretty far from the OM amount needed to be allowed a second character, so hey.

On the plus side, we don't really need any more anime/cartoon characters, as in my honest opinion, they're over-saturated enough here as is. But hey, nothing's holding you back, and if you want to play a character from an anime, go for it.

Be Squall/Leon! I think we're at a loss for angtsy heroes. We have a lot of flamboyant villains and amoral people lurking about.

Plus if you pick Android 17, you'd have to deal with me being hyper critical of everything you do.

Yeah we are in a need for heroes Ichigo sounds promising though(well at least I like the character/anime).

Then again I am more of a fan of Ulquiorra as well. I would like to see Android 17 on here as well.

Ghost or anything on your evil list. We're so massively overloaded on characters similar to the others on your good list.

I think we have plenty of heroes. Harry Dresden, Samus (even if Greg will argue the neutral route, we all know better), Proto Man. Link.

We're mostly full of people who are more... ambiguous. Folks, like Guu, who aren't a villain or a hero. Which is fine.

As for picking a character, I'll give you the same advice I give everyone. Try to write a paragraph or two with each person on the list. If it feels forced, or just doesn't feel right, move on to the next. This character will be your partner for some time, so pick someone that you enjoy, deep in your heart, writing as. No point picking someone who you'll switch from after a topic or two.

From what I've heard about the abundance of anime characters.. im sorry but i my bleach hype is up right now. I do have one question though. I would like to play as Ichigo's blade, zangetsu. Would it be possible to start off with an alternate form? I would like for someone to eventually wield him, but I would also like to play him in his spirit form.

Yes, you can get alt forms at level one since they don't require SP and only shift your stats around.

You also forgot Shang Tsung, though. He's more a hero than the little red kid, little green kid, or those two jerks who blew up part of Coruscant.

There's quite a few evil turds running around, and goodie-two-shoes as well. Luffy is more neutral. He does have a tendency to stomp villains into the ground and rescue entire countries from tyranny and hardship . . . BUT he doesn't want nor try to be the hero. :v: So maybe a neutral fellow?

I LOVE LUFFY. *ahem* I have chosen to be Zangetsu, Ichigo's sword spirit. Considering he has a darkside, (hollow ichi who is also named Zangetsu ) He seems to follow the neutral side, only caring truly for himself and who ever is deemed worthy to wield him. I actually thought about getting with you to make him a member of luffy's crew (considering he's still a pirate and all that stuff)

Or maybe not with Zangetsu... Ive just learned about his eh.. spoilerly lame canon T.T im considering someone else but the pirate thing is on my to do list.

actually, by far the cannon Zangetsu is much much better (in terms of power and the fact that it looks way better than it ever did) also yeah, it'd be interesting to see another pirate from one piece if that's what you're considering.
