No Evil Shall Escape My Sight

After he had finished his business in Dalaran, and had been reunited with Arcee the both of them had made their way to the ground, together. During the aimless trek that he had began, Arcee tried to make conversation with her partner. Something had changed about Jack. It seemed he was more like Optimus Prime than ever before, but she did not know why he was more like him. 

"So Jack, what happened? Why are you dressed like you are now?" asked Arcee, trying to figure out her partner.  "What is with the strange looking ring you wear on your finger? It doesn't appear to be made out of any technology I know of, but my scanners indicate it has a massive power inside of it, something I do need to know about." 

Jack sighed, and said to her.  "The ring is a relic according to the lady we met. She said it was some sort of Precursor to the rings wielded by the Green Lantern Corps. It seems to possess abilities of it's own, but I hate it. The only reason I am wearing it, is because I have yet to be able to create a Green Lantern Ring for myself in the Omniverse, given mine is nonfunctional at present. I did find the Bow of Primus, or a Replica of said bow anyway, and have added it to my bag of tricks. I do wish I had a blaster that was nearly as powerful as yours, Arcee." 

"Why is that, Jack?" asked Arcee, calmly.  "Because Mech captured us, and experimented on us... I'm no longer human Arcee. I didn't survive the trip to Oa, but the next thing I knew I ended up here in the Omniverse, and have been forced to make do with a whole new set of rules. As a result, I have to be on the look out for Decepticon activity, while trying to figure out how my power ring works." 

So Jack was now burdened with a Power Ring that came with the responsibility to protect and serve. This reminded her of how Orion Pax had gained the Matrix of Leadership. Thankfully Megatron and Silas, and Starscream were not around, because she knew Jack was not ready. He'd have a long way to go before he could be worthy of the title of Prime. Still, as his partner, and as his friend, Arcee was going to ensure he received the training he needed in order to become a worthy heir to the title of Prime. This place needed a Prime with the many dangers she had learned about during her longer stay than Jack. The ring on his hand might even make him a target for several of the Primes, possibly. So he was going to need to learn how to use it fast in her opinion, if she was being honest.

Once they had reached a clearing, Arcee asked Jack. "Partner, mind showing me what that ring can do? I'm interested in seeing what you're capable of in this place," Really, this was just so Jack would practice with the ring, and learn how to use it. While he knew what Arcee was attempting to do, Jack knew that he could learn how to do it. A nod was given by Jack and then he held out the ring for a moment. Emerald energy surged out of the ring, shaping itself into a strange looking blaster that was made out of Emerald Energy. The energy looked volatile, and like it wouldn't work exactly, actually. "The energy doesn't look safe." said Arcee. "Are you sure the ring is safe for you to use?" 

Jack was not sure how to reply to Arcee for a moment. The ring was unstable, though. Jack knew this, but he had to use it. "The ring is perfectly safe for me to use," stated Jack.

The power of the ring was channeled outwards by Jack. At first he pressed the ring close to his chest, focusing the energies of will into it. As the ring was filled with the energies, Jack thought of how he was going to do this. Perhaps what Arcee needed was a demonstration that the ring was perfectly safe for him to use, and so he dissipated the blaster construct that he had made. A construct was not the right option in order to demonstrate the natural talent he had with the Oan Power Ring. While this was nowhere as good as the Green Lantern Ring he had once been able to wield because it had functioned, Jack knew it was going to have to do. The ring was a tool, and like any tool, someone could use it. Eventually however he planned on replacing it with an actual Green Lantern Ring - not the pale imitation he now was forced to use. The ring was unstable and would eventually explode, or something of that nature, Jack knew it. It was best if he created a Green Lantern Ring soon. Yet, for now he could not let Arcee know that he didn't want to wield the ring. Faking what he hoped was a convincing smile, Jack released an Unstable Emerald Blast Wave nearby, once he had gotten to a safe distance from Arcee. There was no sense in hurting his partner. 

When she witnessed the blast wave, Arcee noticed how long it had taken Jack. "You'll need to get faster, partner. If Megatron is in the Omniverse, you will have to be ready to face him head on, and even with your admittedly powerful arsenal, I know you're nowhere near ready yet in order to take him on directly." She was right, sadly enough. Jack was not capable of battling Megatron. Had he a proper Green Lantern Ring he would have considered doing so. Had he the proper training he would be more willing to put his life on the line. Yet, Jack had never had any form of training with the Power Ring he had received when Knock Out had thrown him off a cliff. The same also proved true of the power ring that he wielded now. Jack had no experience in operating the ring. Said thing needed to change if he was to ever be ready to confront the Omniverse at large. Right now he didn't even know how to access the internet here. 

"Alright. It's clear I need basic training Arcee."
