Overview

"Genetic Anomaly"
"Legendary Super Saiyan"
"The Dishonored"
"Glendale Failure"

--------------------------------

To understand Broly you must understand the Glendale Royal Family and its rivalry with the Zulenka and Skleros Families. The Glendale and Skleros names are of royal and Elite descent while the Zulenka name was low class, but because they had given birth to some of the best warriors they were considered a close rival. The three houses fought with each other for decades, racing to acquire and produce a Super Saiyan that could lead their family to victory in both their private feud or within the Saiyan Military under the latest King. Glendale was the first to achieve that goal. Skleros became the second family to achieve this goal with their heiress Luna. Zulenka was last to join with their outlawed member, Toma, achieving the first form, but favoring a transformation he learned in the Afterlife. The Glendale Family was full of old money and extremely influential Generals and Officers. They hadn’t been a front-line house in nearly sixty years, until the Frost Wars when the King ordered every able-bodied soldier to report for duty on every front. Broly was heavily prized as the star pupil, quickly rising through the ranks and obliterating every challenge that lay before him. Some questioned whether he was an adopted Zulenkan bastard after observing him fight. He fought with precision and brutal efficiency not seen in a Glendale for centuries. However, this made him a liability. He was incredibly hard to control and continuously brought shame to his family name. It wasn’t until part way through the Frost Wars when Broly’s callous disregard for tactics in place of endless butchering of the enemy caused heavy losses for Glendale and Skleros forces. Richard, Broly’s older brother, who had attained Super Saiyan as well was forced to beat down his younger sibling into submission, barely squeaking out a victory. Thus, Richard replaced Broly as the star pupil, chalking up the younger Glendale’s success to the hype of being first. Little did they know, he was a genetic anomaly and thus a living legend.

Permanent Super Saiyan

Before Broly was transported into the Omniverse he had transformed into a Super Saiyan – Grade One while fighting Glendale Royal Guards. A very common genetic offspring of the Legend, this form was nowhere near as powerful for Broly and provided a limited boost to his power, but was forcibly taught to him by Richard Glendale, as in this lesser form they could control him. Whatever happened in the transfer between universes left him stuck in that form permanently. Because of this the form has no drain on him and he cannot revert out of it.

History

Broly, born Baldwin Glendale into the Elite Class and noble House Glendale was the youngest of the two heirs. Richard, the oldest, was heir to the House and all of it’s titles. However, his younger brother would inherit command of the Glendale Levies. [float=right][Image: Broly-lss-transformation-o.gif][/float]Richard was to be the prodigal son, but in a time when the rival houses were vying for a Super Saiyan heir, Broly was the one who broke through first. At the age of nine the young warrior was drilling with the Master-at-Arms like usual when, what wouldn’t be known until decades later, his genetic anomaly broke free in a bout of anger. Besting the seasoned Saiyan warrior that was training him and slaughtering several other guards before collapsing, Glendale was rocketed to the King’s number one choice for military support and for Imperial funding. In the years that followed the young Broly brought great honor to his family name, conquering each objective before him. His ferocity and tenacity on the battlefield hadn’t been seen in a Glendale heir for centuries. Richard could do nothing but watch from the sidelines, even after his own transformation had been achieved. However, it had come too late. The Skleros Family, the rival Noble House, had also produced an heiress with extreme latent combat ability who had already mastered what they believed to be the better version. [float=left][Image: Broly-Roster-Photo-3.jpg][/float]Broly was an unrefined barbarian in combat. His strength, speed, and sensory ability went unmatched, but such talent in a child led to the eventual decline of his military career during the Frost Wars. The youngest Glendale boy favored slaughter while transformed over accomplishing battle objectives the more he fought. This resulted in what came to be known as the Glendale Schism to House Skleros. Shunning Broly and placing their faith in his older brother Richard, the House leaders had no choice but to force their now false prodigy into submission. Richard beat down his younger brother and forced him to learn how to transform into a variant that came to be known as Super Saiyan – Grade One. Broly’s true potential lie in the fact that he possessed the ability to transform into a version nobody had ever seen. A transformation that only legend had spoken of. He couldn’t be controlled. When the Frost Wars concluded Broly was in his late thirties. He was only a Glendale by blood at this point.
Deciding it best to leave his home province behind the young adult Saiyan fled into Zulenkan territory where he met Raden and his legitimized daughter Emilia, or Emily for short. The younger woman was immediately smitten with the estranged Elite Class that had wandered into their fiefdom. Raden Zulenka, the current and unfavorable head of House Zulenka, promised Broly safe harbor if he were to do the unthinkable. [float=right][Image: Broly-Roster-Photo-4.jpg][/float]Marry Emilia for political reasons and create a military alliance between what forces Broly could muster from Glendale and the Zulenkan Army to march on the Skleroi Legion on the northern border from House Skleros. As his family hadn’t formally disowned him the Imperial Court upheld the marriage and the first military pact between a low-class house and an elite-class house was founded. With the support of the shock infantry Broly could muster from his home town’s garrison the two Houses marched on the Skleros Army and thus began the Zulenkan Conquest-War for House Skleros. It was during this three-year war that while serving as Generals on the battlefield, Broly and Emilia fell in love. Time and experience had taught Broly to rely on strategic thinking and logic rather than his brute strength, resulting in him hardly ever using his Legendary form. His wife on the other hand was pure volcano through and through just like any Zulenka before her. Quick to anger and vicious on the battlefield, it was often left to her husband to see her through situations where cooler heads would prevail. Unfortunately, on the eve of Broly’s 50th birthday the final battle of the war saw the Zulenkan forces completely decimated. Fleeing with his wife and what Glendale soldiers he had left the Legendary Super Saiyan crossed back into his family province to find that his father had passed everything to his older brother, who had turned the family into a war machine at the expense of it’s subjects. Richard immediately ordered the arrest of both his younger brother, who at this point was a pretender to the House titles, and the torture and execution of his wife.

It was during this skirmish that both were summoned by Omni.

Ghost Marine Corps

Founded by Emilia Zulenka during her stay in the Omniverse before the arrival of her husband, they are rag-tag group of individuals who live inside the M61A6 Schism tanks they operate. Spending an extraordinary amount of time in the middle of the deep desert in the Endless Dunes, Emilia began trying to summon the mainstay of her Armored Division back home. She successfully managed to summon five working Schism class tanks, after six months of trying, with enough crew to fully man four of them. The home territory of the Ghost Marine Corps is a hulking graveyard of failed vehicle summoning. Broken down and shattered tanks lie scattered around the main desert camo tents that are setup to the rear of the parked “working” vehicles. The current project she spends her days working on is converting the proprietary and highly secretive main reactor of the vehicle to run on Omnilium instead of Energy Cores, which she has to summon manually. So far, she hasn’t had any luck, and the desert around their camp is littered with the failed attempts of her tinkering for miles.

Cytokine Industries M61A6 Schism

The latest in the long line of main battle tanks produced for the Zulenkan War Effort. Based on a prototype model that one two different caliber guns on the turret, the revisionary committee eventually settled on the two cannons; something that had never been done before. Capable of firing in unison or independent from each other, the guns shoot a massive 155-millimeter shell capable of hitting it’s target well over four miles away. Powered by a proprietary energy reactor designed by Storm Motors, a subdivision of Cytokine Industries, the tank can run for days on full power without requiring replacement fuel cells. Each reactor is powered by two energy cores comprised of stored and compressed chi energy gathered from a cosmic generator. The tank is refueled by simple sliding out and discarded the depleted cores and replacing them with new ones. Each core comes packaged in a thin steel casing that must be removed before it can be installed. In emergency situations the tank reactor can be run on a single core, however run time and efficiency is drastically reduced. Because of the way the reactor runs and uses the energy to run the tank, the engine is noticeably loud. While under load the engine ejects a constant stream of blue plasma from the exhaust manifolds on either side that dissipates about a foot away from the exit. The Schism is run with a full crew of 4; a commander, driver, loader, and mechanic/bow gunner. Each crew member can do everyone else’s job. The tank is a home for those who man it.

NPC's and Secondaries

NPC I: Emilia Glendale -- Broly's Wife

[spoiler]
Emilia Glendale

Born Emilia Zulenka, she was married politically to Broly to unite what forces he had loyal to him against House Skleros. During the 3-Year Conquest War they fell in love and became a powerful duo. Broly was a Shock Infantry leader, capable of leading soldiers on foot into battle. Emilia's skills were more technical. She was Commander General of the 2nd Armored Division and Lead Mechanic. Stories spread quickly of how she would fight with her trusty monkey wrench in hand, used for both bashing Skleros skulls and wrenching the giant bolts away from the reactors on the tanks. She's extremely short tempered, true to any Zulenka, and often relies on her husband to handle negotiation and rationale discussion as she has no patience for nobility.

The Brain Spanner (300) -- A giant fourteen inch steel monkey wrench primarily used for removing the four mounting bolts from tank reactors. However, Emilia became very fond of bashing peoples skulls in with it during the war. It weighs about six pounds and is relatively easy to use. She keeps it in a loop on her utility belt.
