[open] A blank slate
#1
Hecate opened her eye's as she tensed her grip around the handles of her swords, only to find her hands empty.
"What manner of sorcery is this?" she thought to herself as she looked around her, . Before her a being stood before her, grinning and speaking to her seemingly answering her question before she could say it. In the depths of her mind she tensed, expecting a blow to the skull just like what had happened to her in her youth, when no blow fell upon her she let out her breath, and eased the muscles in her body. Her body felt familiar but yet different, she could feel the same power she had always had, emanating inside her, yet when she tried to draw on it to bring forth her swords she could not produce even a single snowflake.

She watched carefully studying the being with her royal blue eye's as the being offered her an orb, strangely colored it seemed to cascade color's glowing brightly in the darkness as she shoved it quickly into her uniform. She saw it too was clean as the day she first donned the white attire. Hecate took a step towards the being, who had addressed itself as "Omni" in that moment the world went a bright white, almost everything seemed white as she stood before a grand fountain. Omni was gone.

Testing her legs she took a step forward. when they responded she opened her mouth testing her vocals "Hello? Hello?" she called out to no one in particular, There were people, things and creatures walking around all of whom were of the likes she had never seen before.

She looked around once more before walking off from the fountain taking time to observe those around her.

Hecate Walked around the beings, or Primes as they were called. None had yet seemed to show any interest in her, nor was she hoping they would. She knew she was shy, even to a fault. Getting close to a person meant opening yourself to that person and giving them a way to hurt you. The Academy had shown her that. She suppressed the memories of the horrors of the academy, a small shiver went up her spine as the dark voice inside her whispered it's words "Embrace the nightmares" She shook her head, trying to silence the voice.

When it did not speak again Hecate turned her attention back to the multiple doorways that were visible from the central fountain. Each one seemed different, almost as if each was a new world to visit. However this did not interest Hecate, as she thirsted for more information on where she was currently. "The nexus." that was what Omni had said this place was called, Light shined from an unknown source almost the same way the sun bounced light off the frozen snow-capped mountains surrounding Vestura.

One doorway seemed to have strange looking guards clad in shiny white armor with peculiar looking helm's that seemed to look like skulls. Deciding they would be a good source of information Hecate began walking towards them

As Hecate was walking towards the individuals that were clad in the White armor that was that of Storm Troopers, someone else was leaving the world of Coruscant. The individual who was leaving did not know why the stormtroopers treated him poorly, or who the impersonator of his had been. Warren did know he was not going to be very nice to the jerk when he encountered him, because running his name through the mud had made life difficult. The Quarterback of Chaos was not amused about the current situation. On the world of Coruscant he had nearly been beaten to the point of unconsciousness about ten times by the white clad and he used this term because he had no other, bastards. They were people he did not want to be around. A new home was not going to be made by him in their verse. As he approached the gate from the other side of it, he sighed. If they were truly the bastards he had thought them to be, perhaps they had some enemies he could manipulate into doing his dirty work for him, and helping him to knock some sense into them.

Upon seeing someone who was looking at the gate, a devious thought came to mind. Perhaps he could get a minion with little labor on his part. A minion who was a Prime would be more useful than he realized. Ricky wasn't likely to approve of it, but he said he had some business he had to take care of on Coruscant. Now though, Warren knew how to work Omnilium and how to mold it to his will. At least now he did have his NFL-R which meant if it came down to a fight he could protect himself to a degree from the rigors of the world he was now in. It was not ideal, but it was better than nothing anyway.

"You're a new Prime,"  said Warren, observing her for several moments.  "And as a new Prime, you are likely at a disadvantage, not knowing how this place works. What I propose is a bit of an alliance. I will teach you what you need to know, provide you a boost in Omnilium, and you can pay me back later. What do you say?" asked Warren, after approaching Hecate. Hopefully she was smart enough to accept the offer he had just made, because he knew she could use the help.

A voice from a man stepping through the gateway startled Hecate as she walked towards the armored guards. she stopped for a moment as she listened to his words "Is it that obvious that I am new to....wherever this is?" Hecate asked, still unsure of what to make of this person offering her, a complete stranger Omnilium. She wasn't one to turn down something as valuable as Omnilium, as omni had explained its true value to her, but even she herself didn't know what she could use something so valuable on. "I dont mean to be ruse but such a generous offer is wasted on someone such as myself." She replied. Not sure how to even acquire the strange substance had her at a loss, as she debated on taking the man up on his offer.

"wouldn't it be better to start with your name?" Hecate finally asked as she looked at the man.

"I'm Warren Zimmer,"  said Warren as he looked her over for several moments. She was a new Prime, but she looked like someone who had experience battling opponents and that was what had caught his eye. "And yes, it is that obvious. I would HIGHLY recommend you not go through that gate,"  Warren said as he looked at the one that contained the Storm Troopers. While he was fond of the technology level of Coruscant, and knew it could benefit most of the Primes Warren didn't want other Primes to go through what he had, if he could avoid them having to do so. "You are a new Prime, and I will be more than happy to shwo you the ropes, and invest in your future if you would have me do so,"  said Warren, as he held out his hand towards her. "You've got a lot to learn, and I'm a patient instructor, so I am willing to teach you."

Warren Zimmer was indeed willing to instruct her.  "You've probably got some sort of special skill here. Could you show me it?" asked Warren, putting away the orb of Omnilium for a moment, as he looked her over. What could she do, that was so special? What made her a Prime? Warren didn't know, but he wanted to know so he could find a resolution to her not being prepared for Coruscant.

"Hecate Rothchild" Hecate responded in turn as she looked the man once over again.
She didnt trust him, she didnt trust anyone, but an offer of help did sound like something she needed badly at the moment.
"I....I dont have anything like that." she replied as she held out her hand trying to bring forth her swords to no avail. the look on her face looked more confused than ever, as she struggled to produce even a sliver of ice.
"I am afraid my powers are lost to me" she added as she let her arms drop back to her side's almost as if tired. "Things that i could do in the past with ease, are now beyong my capabilities here." she told herself aloud, her voice was clearly not happy with this turn of events.

Turning her attention back towards the gate behind Warren she asked the man "So where to these gates lead?"

"The gate before you leads to the world of Coruscant. The world there is one of the most technologically advanced,"  sighed Warren as he began enlightening her about the worlds of the Omniverse, the various "Verses" as they were called. Ricky had informed him a lot about the Omniverse and the nature of the place. When she said she had lost all of her abilities, this worried Warren. A helpless Prime was not a good thing in the Omniverse to say the least. Due to this he knew he had to do something to equip her properly, so she could survive. What could he do about her situation, though? Warren contemplated the options. Simply giving her the means to defend herself did not appeal but perhaps he could test the courage she possessed to see if she deserved tech like his.

"You are going to need some way to defend yourself. Watch me, and copy what I do,"  stated Warren as he began the process of making an NFL-R out of Omnilium. "Thus, I will loan you the permission to make an NFL-R for yourself."

Hecate nodded her head in agreement as she watched Warren mold the shiny substance into a strange device. She pulled there orb of her own omnilium from the pocket of her witch corps uniform. "Before we arrived here.. this foolish girl could bring forth blizzards of ice that would make even the mightiest of knights tremble. We may be young but we are no peasant cornered like a lamb to slaughter." Hecate said, the calm demeanor she displayed was gone in an instant and her eyes had shifted in color to a more reddish hue.

Her body language shifted as well showing a more relaxed stance. Resting her left hand on her side she gripped the orb of luminescence in her hand and slowly began to replicate what Warren was doing. "What manner of tool are you summoning" she asked with a fierceness in those blood red eyes.

"This is called an NFL-R. It has many features. The first of these is a communicator, although I've not been able to get that function of the device actually working, presently," began Warren, as he started into a lecture on what the NFL-R was capable of doing when it was wielded by someone who could control what it could do properly. "It can shoot a thin beam out of energy out of it, and has other capabilities as well. I'm still working on my version of it, but the version you create should mainly be able to fire beams of energy out of it, so you can protect yourself to a a degree. If you are like me, when you first arrived, you would've lost all your abilities and powers."

Warren paused for a moment.  "It seems I am incapable of giving you the substance known as Omnilium. I can train you but am strangely enough somehow unable to transfer any to you, for some reason."

Warren waited for her to reply. Hopefully she'd accept this, and not attack him right off the bat.

Hecate's Red eyes closed for a moment as a wide grin formed on her lips
"I am sure thanks to this device, we will not be powerless for long." She said, the smile on her face had a very sinister feel to it as she spoke. "Can this...... Omnilium be used to create anything?" she asked as the wicked grin stayed on her face.
"Say like a knife?" nearly drooling with excitement at the prospect of being able to be rid of The other her's cursed swords.

her smile faded after but a few seconds, as Warren told her about the Omnilium some more, "Be that as it may, are you able to teach us more in how to harness this..... orb. I yearn..... no hunger to learn as much as i can!" she said earnestly
#11
"Yes. Omnilium can make anything you desire to make, so long as you have two things. Enough Omnilium is one of the things you will need in order to make anything, so be careful. And the second is the desire for what you want to make,"  said Warren. "And I will be able to teach you more, but you will have to travel with me, and learn alongside me. Our teacher shall be experience, and life shall be our instructor."  smiled Warren as he looked at her for a moment. She was curious, and with time he could mold her into the perfect minion to him. Sure she was not Ricky, and could never be him. She did however, have potential that he could nurture and increase until she could be invaluable to him. Her skills could grow under his tutelage, and he could stand a chance of winning.

Hesitation crossed Hecate's face despite the evil grin as she realized what Warren had just proposed. In an instant she responded "Traveling....." She paused for a moment as she mulled it over in her head. "If i go with someone i just barely met, what would the dangers be....." she posed the question as her fierce red eye's peered at Warren "He could attack us, rape us, leave us for dead, abuse us or worse." She said as her gaze drifted down to Warren's throat, namely the thick artery pulsating at his neck. " I suppose if he was to try to do any of that though we could just... take a nice deep bite out." She smiled again wickedly as she returned her gaze back to the man's facial features. "I guess I have not problem following you for now.... She however may have objections." Hecate said as she slid the glowing orb in her hand back into her uniform.

Quote:"A nice deep bite out."
Those words were the ones that made Warren desire to run for the hills er back away slowly from her. The urge however was ignored because doing so would be a problem. It would be like admitting that he would do any of the things that she had said. Arming her may be a mistake but he honestly did not want to see her more dangerous side come out to play. And to be blunt, he didn't want to waste the energy trying to deal with what she was capable of when she was not messing around. Of course there were numerous other factors. One of these was that he needed someone who could serve as his apprentice, and would be willing to do so. Should she decide to "take a nice deep bite out" Warren was fairly confident he could take her in a fight. She was a rookie and had little experience. Of course, in that aspect the two of them were just about equal if he were to be completely honest with himself. Battling her was not the wisest idea, but perhaps he could corrupt her.

Warren Zimmer looked her over for a moment, and sighed.  "An NFL-R may be a bit beyond your current level of skill in the Omniverse. Would some sort of blade be better perhaps?" Warren didn't want to overwhelm her.

Hecate held her smile as she realized she was speaking aloud "nevermind what I said" she said jokingly. Her mind slowly began to wander as she pondered having a blade of her own "she might try to be rid of a blade not having the curse" Hecate said spitefully. "A blade must spill blood, not prevent it from flowing!" She said as her voice took an angry tone. "Pathetic how she created her swords to stop me." Hecate said, her hands clenched tightly into fists. Taking a deep breath she calmed herself as much as she could before flying off the handle and getting violent.

"Yes a knife would be amazing" she finally said after completed her monologue.

Warren began to demonstrate to her how to use the substance called Omnilium once more, by summoning his Chaotic Quarterspear Staff into his hands, and spinning it around. "This is how you summon items using Omnilium," said Warren, to her. "This is the substance that makes up the world we are in, and provides Primes the bulk of their power as I've mentioned. You will need more of the substance. There are multiple ways you could acquire the substance. If you were willing, I would educate you about more of the ways you could do so." said Warren.

Hecate pulled the small orb from her pocket once more, watching Warren with intrigue, despite his abrupt appearance she couldn't help but think "You have been most helpful." She muttered as she once again tried to copy him. The orb of light seemed to heed her commands as a it slowly seemed to diminish partly as a small knife formed in her hand. A grey handled knife with purple accents formed, its blade seemed like pure energy given form. As the object took form Hecate couldn't help but want to test the edge.

The small weapon finaly sat firmly in Hecate's hand, it was weird with it's handle being the only heft to it, she swung it around her, not caring if anyone was watching "A Knife!" She exclaimed with childlike joy as she finally turned around to face warren once more. "It's not quite what i was expecting when you said knife buuuuuuuut." she said as she drew the weapon across her the top of her arm letting the energy blade bite into her flesh. Crimson fluid rushed to fill the gap of the wound as Hecate seemed to nearly grin with delight as she took her fingertips and played with the now flowing rivulets of blood. "It works just fine!" she said finally as she slid the weapon into the long grey sleeve of her right arm. Hiding it from view. "So long as she cant find it!" she said with a smile.

However the grasp on the body seemed to wain as Hecate closed her eye's once more and the royal blue eyes once again returned to her features. She gave off a small wince of pain as she looked at the blood running down her right arm staining the white of her uniform. "Do not listen to that she devil!" Hecate said, the fire in her eyes was replaced with one of boredom as she watched the man before him. "I have many Questions for you Warren." She said as she analyzed the man. His posture seemed heavy, as though there were things weighing him down. She decided to pry into him and see what she could learn.

"First off, how is it that you can understand Vesturan, you do not have the look, nor the complexion of my people. Therefore you are clearly not Vesturan, yet you understand my words with no room for misinterpretation." she closed her eyes not giving the man time to respond right away as she fired off more questions. "Why are you so eager to help a new prime, knowing I have little to offer in the ways of currency...." She paused "Or otherwise." She added as she looked at her self, she knew she was considered good looking by most who had kept eyes on her though her birth while not noble had her see many suitors before she was even of age. "You speak of traveling, however I know not much of where I am nor have I considered leaving this place.... the Nexus. I merely wish to know about it, and what lays beyond each of these doorways." She said, the coldness in her voice was seasoned like an old tire, with no fear and no compassion. It just was.

She continued speaking to Warren continuing her bombardment of questions. "You speak of Getting more of this... omnilium, However I find that my supply of it is somewhat diminished. I will assume she took it and used it. Is there a way i might refund this paltry use of my reservoirs?" She said posing the statement as a question tho the look in her eyes seemed to expect a direct answer. "And lastly. Why is it you wish for me to travel with you, You know nothing of me, other than i can not use my magic, I am not some common concubine or wench you can just woo by flashing your gold around! I and pledged albeit reluctantly to the Vesturan Grand army, and as such my job is to secure the lands of Vestura and her surroundings. Even if I am unable to get back to my home, I do have an obligation to those back home. I can not, nor will I betray them. If you are seeking a companion for your bed seek it elsewhere, If you seek a recruit for some scheme or another be forewarned, i am not a common mercenary, I am a proud soldier and will fight and die for those I need to protect... To this I will ask you but once, Who are you, what is your reason for approaching me..... and what is it that you seek of me." Hecate's blue eyes watched every muscle in Warrens face as she concluded, She was not sure why he was pursuing her, or why he was adamant about teaching her. but having watched the exchange between him and the other her. there was an unease that had settled in her heart, a feeling she could not shake, the same as the blood now staining her precious uniform.

After the long speech she had given, Warren had to pause for a moment to process. Deciding how best to answer her, Warren started to say something, but then stopped himself. What he needed to be was eloquent with his speech, instead of chaotic like he normally was. There was no room for rudeness to someone who was that idealistic. Above all, he could not afford her to turn against him. An ally of her potential was one he planned to cultivate and for that to happen she needed to trust him somehow. "In the Omniverse, the spoken word is translated so that all who hear others speak may understand them without the need for translators. It's like we're all speaking the same language as it were."

"Secondly, you are as you said, new. You have no opinion of me, unlike those white muscle clad idiots who someone who looks like me has made hate him, and thus by extension, me." stated Warren, factually to her. "Other than the door way to Coruscant, I admit this truth to you. I am unfamiliar with what lays beyond each of the door ways, though I theorize that they have many worlds,  each hidden behind one of the doors. Each of them could be something that none of us have ever seen before, for I know I have not. I do know if they are anything like I have experienced on the world of Coruscant, it would be in our best interests to avoid such places like the plague, until we both are stronger."

"And there is a simple way. You dissolve the item that she created, or items back into Omnilium and you can reuse them at your heart's content, making something new. An easy task for someone like yourself. As to why I want you to travel with me, I believe I have stated it before. However, I shall reiterate one last time why I desire your company. Neither for ill, nor for good do you have a preconceived opinion of me, something that I consider admirable, given that those white clad imbeciles have already formed an opinion of me, based off of the actions of someone who is not me, but has been masquerading as me."

Warren then waited for her to acknowledge what he had said. Warren then pointed out to her where her other side had hidden the knife on her person, and said to her. "Your other side is very dangerous, and will need to be controlled somehow."

Hecate considered Warren's words as he spoke, she listened to each carefully worded line as he spoke.

"Very well, I shall travel with you for now, though do not be alarmed if at one time or another i leave. There are many things that must be handled, and I have much to learn, some of that learning must be done as a trial by fire, Things that can not be taught." She commented as she carefully planned her next course of action once she was sure of the situation. "For all I know this could be the afterlife..." she commented mainly to herself as she considered what she knew so far. "As for the knife, thank you. once i can find a way to rid myself of this curse she has become I shall get rid of the thing.... I have no need for a weapon that makes a mess." She commented as she glared at the now drying blood on her arm. "She has never hurt me before...." She said after a long pause.

Taking her hand she wiped away the crimson flow from her arm and lowered the arm back down to her side. Hecate took a deep breath before finally addressing the black sheep.

"I dont know how to control her, I dont even know who or what she is." Hecate admitted "She shows up at random and just takes over.... I cant stop it, i cant hinder it. It just happens." she added, though she was unsure as to why she was not more worried about having this second presence dwelling inside her.

"In any event Warren where do we go now?" She asked as she considered what he had just said regarding the doorways. a hunger for a climate of ice and cold seemed to fill her. she only hoped there was such a place.
#19
"We shall go over there,"  said Warren as he looked at one of the gates that was across from the world of Coruscant's gate. This one had some elves and some who appeared to be wearing ancient armor like that of knights of old, around it. The place certainly looked more appealing than the world of Coruscant and would likely have some ruins that he could turn into a place for himself. While not the best idea, building a house out of some ruins in that yet to be unknown verse was a better idea than one of Coruscant. At the very least he would not have to deal with the armor clad bastards that had attempted to murder him by beating him up. Sure what Omni had said may be true, but Warren didn't want to find out if "Primes" could survive being nearly murdered or things like that by anyone's hands. "Once we are there, we are going to find somewhere and build ourselves a place because I refuse to not have a home to call my own. There is also more than one reason we need such a place. You will need training to use your blade that I have made for you, and also how to make an NFL-R for yourself. The NFL-R could give you a wide range of abilities that you didn't have before," stated Warren to her, honestly. "When we get there, we will also invest in me learning some of the various powers and attacks that the people of this world have at their disposal," sighed Warren. "As much as I don't want to steal from others, as I am now, I am too weak, and you would agree with that assessment about yourself, as well."
#20
Hecate nodded halfheartedly as Warren spoke of her power, or rather the lack of. “I agree.” she replied simply as he spoke. She knew she was weak, at least for the time being. “If only i had my swords.” she muttered under her breath.

As Warren spoke of creating a home in the lands beyond the door with people he called elves Hecate grimaced slightly. “I have not had a home in many years.” she said as her expression went blank, Memories of her life flashed inside her head, Memories going back to the day she was conscripted into the Vesturan army. Quickly attempting to suppress the memories Hecate closed her hands into tight shaking fists, but didn't say a word for what seem like an hour to her. “I need not a home.” she replied finally before beginning the walk towards the gateway. “Lets go.”
