Hierro Help

Once Seraph comes to grip with his lack of power compared to what he used to and joins up with Gilgemesh. I plan for Seraph to relinquish his sword to him and  work on mastering and building up is racial and natural abilities.


The first Im gonna develop is his Hierro, or Iron Skin. This is a racial trait all Arrancars have, that works by the Arrancar's spiritual pressure condensing so much around the skin that it creates a dense barrier around it, practically fusing with the skin to make it strong. Generally, the stronger the arrancar, the stronger the Hierro.

You guys dont have to watch the whole thing but watch him tank the sword strikes and other moves that should pierce his skin but don't due to the hardness of his skin. This.. is Hierro.

Im having trouble finding the powers and proficiencies to replicate this here. Any thoughts?

The closest things I can think of:
1) Integration, which would work perfectly but I think you have to be near the material in the first place - this could probably be somewhat solved through just carrying around a chunk of iron wherever you go.
2) Simply having a high defense value and using that to roleplay your iron-skin without any actual benefits, other than what your defense already gives you. Given your current 3 defense, you may not be able to do this at the moment to the degree that you may wish.

Erza is on the right path. Integration would be best and using power would mean that you can cut out the part about removing your sword from the scene. For all intents and purposes, the sword is made from Iron, so just touching the sword would allow you to turn your skin to iron, although a downside of this would be moving slower. This is due to balancing purposes, as turning your skin to iron and being able to move faster than the average person isn't possible (unless you have an unnaturally high speed stat I guess).

hehe here is where I get you on that. The sword is a zanpakuto made from the sealing of his former powers. The sword is literally a chunk of himself, a piece of condense, shaped, and flavoured Reishi ( or Reikuyou, spiritual energy from the body couldn;t remember which). now his body he possesses is made purely of Reishi, meaning the flesh, blood, and bone is just replicated and not true flesh, blood, and bone. This means he can survive most cuts and injuries that normal humans cannot (survival ftw!).

Though it is a racial trait.. it works more like a move would, which is why i would rather try making it a move. Integration would work as a last resort measure.. since he's trying ICly to regain many of the abilities he'd lost.

I suggest either permanently increasing your defense for a constant Hierro armor, or you could just make a defensive move wherein you temporarily boost the durability of your own body, acting as a skin-tight shield of sorts.

from the suggestions already.. it looks like a permanent defensive increase is what I need. If anyone else has anything other than above to suggest, please do!

Seraph, I'm fully aware of how this all works, I am up to date with the bleach manga. That's why i said 'For all intents and purposes' because yes, it is made of Rei, but in the omniverse, you could easily just say it's steel or iron, but even so, like I said, you could just keep it on you and use integration to give your skin the properties of condensed and hardened Rei.

But this Idea would either be a defensive move, or a power up that primarily increases defense.
