[spoiler]"I wasn't supposed to die at the hands of a child-killing PSYCHOPATH!"

Bullets like rain. A man screaming, more fire than flesh.

"You're... a savage!"

An army of insane men, raising grenades like trophies, determined to make me feel the pain that they did.

"You're just a bandit..."

A living, breathing human, rendered into a puddle of flesh by storms from the moon. I watched as meteors dissembled my friends.

"AND I AM THE GODDAMN HERO!"

Purple magic, flames. Peeling faces.

A smoking hole embedded in a friend's chest.

My home, burning.

His bloody mask, floating in the air. It smiled at me, grafts still clutched onto bits of skin.

"This is not the world you know..."[/spoiler]

Gaige's eyes snapped open as she rolled over, drawing her SMG. She was gasping for air, wildly pointing the gun around. The clamor of war was still ringing in her ears. Her eyes madly flickering in their sockets, Gaige glared through the scope. 

Nobody.

She relaxed and slung the SMG around her back. There was nobody around.

"Axton?"

The two had been on a mission to recruit Lady Hammerlock after the Eridian showed up. They had hitched on a train, speeding towards the ferry between Pandora and Elpis. 

"Did we crash again?"

She activated her ECHO device, which took some time. It had trouble connecting to the local network. 

Once it connected, something strange happened. The local map was showing something very different: an organized network of biomes, linked together to her current location. The planet designation at the bottom read: "unknown".

"Whooooooa," Gaige muttered, "Where am I?"
