Character name: Gouki a.k.a. Akuma
Character source: "Street Fighter" video game series
Character history: Gouki and his brother Gouken were Japanese martial artists, students of Goutetsu. Goutetsu taught them Ansatsuken, an assassination martial art, which incorporated elements of Karate, Judo, and Kempo. As the brothers progressed under Goutetsu's tutelage, a dispute arose on the true nature of their fighting style and the path to master it. Gouken, unable to accept Ansatsuken's violent nature left Goutetsu to begin his own dojo, which Goutetsu did not oppose. Gouki, however, continued Goutetsu's teachings, and vowed to use their fighting style as it was intended.
In order to further is mastery of the art, Gouki embraced the principle of Satsui no Hado. Satsui no Hado is a form of spiritual energy that is rooted in the darker aspects of natural human instinct (including the desire to survive, trample, and impose over opposition) and, on a metaphysical level, the natural occurrence and manifestation of loss, decline, and destruction. In doing so, he gave up any compassion he held towards other human beings, then left Goutetsu's guidance of enlightenment to train alone. Due to embracing the Satsui no Hado to its fullest extent, he developed superhuman strength but also a lust to fight to the death, unlike Goutetsu, who had been able to use the Satsui no Hado without giving in to its dark side.
After several years spent training alone, Gouki went back to Goutetsu, and fought him match to prove that he had surpassed him. Gouki won and killed his master in the process. Gouken also came to visit his former master to see how he was doing, only to find his lifeless body and his brother, now no longer human. Shocked to see that his younger brother took the life of their master, Gouken berated Gouki, who said nothing and left to resume training.
Years later, Gouki sought out Gouken, challenged him to a death match and lost. However, Gouken spared his life, refusing to give in to the same dark impulses that raged in his brother. A few more years later, Gouki challenged Gouken again and this time won. Believing he had killed Gouken and was the sole living master of Anatsuken, Gouki embarked on a neverending trip around the world, seeking out any warrior strong enough to to face him in a no holds barred death match.

- Life Detect – 800 OM: Gouki can sense the energy signatures of any sentient being in the same verse he's in whether they're robotic, alien or undead in nature.
Starting Moves:
- Gouhadouken – 900 OM: an energy-based projectile born from Gouki's "chi" i.e. lifeforce. He focuses his energy into his palms for one second then thrusts them outwards towards his target, sending forth a scarlet ball of energy three feet in diameter speeding along a straight line. Once fired, the projectile moves independently at a speed of 50km/h. In its basic form the Gouhadoken is a non-explosive concussive blast that hits like a heavy punch. When charged, the Gouhadoken becomes a ball of fire that sets its target alight. Gouki can perform Gouhadoken while in mid-air and by aiming the blast groundwards, he can keep himself aloft for an extra second thanks to the 'kickback' of the projectile's launch.
- Tatsumaki Zankuukyaku – 300 OM: The "Hurricane Scythe Kick" was made to break through an enemy's defences, leaving them open to further attacks. Gouki jumps and, while in the air, quickly spins while delivering four powerful kicks to his intended target. The name of the move was inspired by the speed at which its practitioner rotates in mid-air. Each kick, though delivered quickly, is strong enough to knockdown a grown man and the accumulated damage of all four kicks battering down on an enemy is enough to overcome the tightest of guards.
- Goushoryuken – 300 OM: From a crouching or standing position, Gouki strikes the foe straight in the chest with a heavy uppercut whilst jumping skywards. This blow is designed to lift its victim off of its feet and project them to a distance equivalent to the height of Gouki's jump.
Writing example:
All was still on the rocky mountainside, save the large man lumbering up the steep climb. No wind blew; only the dull thud of the man's steps and the crunch of gravel underfoot broke the heavy silence. The sky was leaden with overcast and the Sun, hidden in its grey curtains, shed little light on the gloomy and barren landscape.
The man's skin was as grey as his surroundings but his thick mop of white hair stood out in stark contrast. He wore no more than a weathered leather vest, a fur trimmed loincloth and leather sandals with ankle high straps, leaving his huge, rippling muscles exposed. Strapped in leather over various parts of his body were several primitive looking bronze weapons: a large round shield resting on his broad back, a dagger on each thigh and a hand axe on his waist. In his right hand, he held a rugged maul by the handle just beneath its oblong head.
Slowly but surely, the warrior plodded up and onwards; his meaty arms swung like pendulums while his brawny legs rose and fell at the same slow and steady pace. As he trudged over slate and stone, the lone walker turned his head from side to side, occasionally casting weary glances over his shoulders. His heavy-set brow was furrowed in thought as his coal eyes darted here and there, searching his surroundings.
"Nothing but boulders and pebbles," he muttered between clenched teeth, "But I can't stop now, not until I've put this mountain between me and them."
Yet he stopped dead in his tracks and cocked an ear at the foreboding silence. Then his eyes narrowed to slits as he gripped his maul with both hands and raised it in an aggressive stance. Breathing in deeply, Stonash readied himself for the encounter.
