I didn't arrive in the Omniverse
#1
Out of nowhere, the figure appeared standing near the fountain in the middle of the white landscape. From afar he looked human enough but on closer inspection he was anything but human. Metallic limbs and skin, wires, tubes and metal running underneath the metallic plates that covered his body. It didn't move for several minutes, seemingly broken, before its face suddenly lit up with a red flash across the middle.

"Location?" A mechanical voice came from somewhere around the things head as it waited for a response from nobody since nobody was around. "Not Earth year 3413" The machine tilted its head for a moment and straightened up again. It's red eyes flickered for a moment before it started running a loop of what had happened just before he arrived here. He had been in his own house, enjoying the luxury he, a robot, owned and then he wasn't there anymore but in some other place with a strange creature in front of him. It looked about as human as Aspect did. It spoke for some time, according to the logs it was barely a few minutes, but Aspect couldn't tell for sure. Running the loop of his encounter on a part of his processor units, the robot's red flowing faces stopped flickering and remained steady. Aspect took a moment to observe his surroundings, viewing all 180° in front of him at the same time. They all looked the same, fully white nothingness.

Another flickering of the eyes and the creature began extracting the information from the loop, Aspect ran various simulations in a matter of seconds. What were his chances of this being some sort of containment for rogue robots? Was he somewhere in space, possible a satellite? If on an alien planet would simply staying here result in anything? What about walking in a random direction? And if he added in the non existent information on the wind speed and direction and natural factors normal to Earth? What if this Omni character was real? And the Omnilium subject he had brought up? Testing first, then the results would clear up some of the variables he was working with now.

Three seconds after the second flickering Aspect straightened himself up and looked around before looking at his hands. Without requiring to run any programs or processes, Aspect managed to bring forth the same ball of rainbow colored light that the Omni creature had shown him. "Something to cover myself from prying eyes would be a good start." Aspect said to the small orb of colored light in front of him. Nothing happened as Aspect waited. A quick coded glance inside told Aspect that he wasn't running any timed breaks or had triggered a coded loop or anything and yet he knew that waiting was what was required. Drawing from his Personal Database, Aspect starting designing the cover he had in mind. And a hood to cover his head with. The less attention he drew with his looks, the better. As he waited for the Omnillium to finish, Aspect ran a thorough check of his systems and code.

System check complete. You are Safe.~~

Aspect ran the diagnostics again but came up with the same result as before. This was highly unusual. Either he had indeed gained some sort of non-coded ability that allowed him to use this Omnillium as the Omni Creature had called it or his own programming had started lying to himself, which somehow made the robot smile digitally. When he moved his visionary process back to the top of his process list he noticed that the Omnillium was shaping up to become the cloak he had designed. Grasping at it with his hand, the rainbow coloring disappeared from it and left a simple, sand brown hooded cloak. The logs told him it took 1.800.000.000 ticks to complete the non-coded Omnillium process. Exactly 3 minutes of standard human Earth time. Whoever had programmed this Omnillium process was either extremely bad at coding and had left tons of useless code or had done it on purpose.

With a broad swing of his arms, Aspect turned around and donned the cloak, covering his metallic body to the fullest of its ability. After pulling the hood over his head only his feet remained visible underneath the cloak when he walked. Aspect's visual process only now noticed the large fountain behind him, completely devoid of water and overgrown with chaotic greens and browns. Even here, these silly plants were everywhere. With no information on his surroundings or any input from the natural elements that were supposed to be around at all times, Aspect did something he had never done before. He generated a true random number between 1 and 360 and headed in that degree of direction.

Roughly half an hour later, Aspect found that everything around him had remained equally white as before and only the fact that the fountain had moved closer to the horizon behind him told Aspect that he had been moving forward. All of these things required so much waste of time. Aspect stopped walking and called upon the Omnillium once again. Another orb of rainbow color hovered in front of him. Three seconds of simulations later, Aspect uploaded an image of a vehicle into what he assumed was the designer for the Omnillium inside of him. Because he didn't need the chair, Aspect redesigned it so that it would allow him to connect with the vehicle, almost like an oversized USB port.

As he waited for the Omnillium to finish its required amount of ticks, Aspect once more focus inside and started running every sort of measuring program and sensor available to him as well as scour his logs for any sign of tampering from an outside source during the time between his move from Earth to wherever he was now. In the end, everything came up either clean, empty or successful. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Aspect according to Aspect. As the required 1.800.000.000 ticks passed, Aspect saw that the orb of rainbow was still molding itself into the design. Expecting the difference in time for the larger and more intricate design of the vehicle compared to the simple cloak, Aspect moved on to a physical test. With whirring and whizzing, the cloak covering Aspect seemed to move from the inside as whirring and whizzing could be heard and small green flashes of light came through the fabric.

Physical Diagnostic Complete. 0 Errors. All Green~~

The physical diagnostic took much more time than Aspect would have liked but it was only required on a monthly basis to be safe so this one extra time didn't bother him too much. By the time he finally finished wiggling his metallic toes and received the All Green, Aspect moved back to his visual process to see how the Omnillium was doing. Still not complete. Current time: 2.345.158.162 ticks and counting. As he waited for the Omnillium to finish the input he was giving it through this new program, Aspect started to review the visual logs of the horizon to see if there had been any changes as well as start programming a physical program that he could run around the Omnillium process, to make him seem more human as he used it. According to the logs, the horizon had been changing slightly, showing that some sort of structure of was somewhere in the distance ahead. His hands moved up from under the cloak, the metallic fingers simply hanging in the air next to the orb, as if he was focusing on it, like he had seen Humans do before. When finally the orb started to grow in shape, Aspect stepped back and went over the timer once again. 3.245.863.158 ticks and counting. So a bit more than five minutes to complete this process.

The rainbow color dissipated and left only the metallic coloring his the four legged vehicle Aspect had designed. With an easy hop, Aspect moved up on top of it and knelt down in the middle, moving his cloak over the connections so it wouldn't mess up the link. Placing his feet against the back of the connection and his knees at the front, Aspect unwound his tendrils from the arm form he always kept them in under his cloak and connected each of the six tendrils to one of the six smaller holes along the side of the "seat". A moment later, Aspect was fully connected, kneeling in the middle of the platform, wires running from his feet, knees and waist to the vehicle. There was a momentary shudder after Aspect ran the program before the machine suddenly lurched forward in a speedy run towards the anomaly he had recorded near the horizon.

The anomaly in question was a simple structure made from cleanly hewn stone in the form of a gate of some description. A quick walk around told Aspect that there was nothing but white all around it and yet, looking through the gate he could see different colors. Nothing would be gained from waiting in this white place devoid of everything. Aspect maneuvered his Crawler through the gate, making sure not to touch any of the edges. The white quickly disappeared behind him.
