Starbound Discussion Thread

You'd have to start a server, which you could do in the start-up menu and then have everyone log in with your IP address. Unfortunately, servers are hard to run as any sort of firewall will block everyone. They may make it easier down the line as the game is still technically in production, but still.

I recently picked up Starbound. Quite fun, although I suffer from a bit of lag from time to time.

I would consider a Starbound server. The question would be if you guys were willing to do it with the at least one mandatory mod on it, Frackin Universe?


I tried running a server before with Guu just to hang out but it didn't work and it was likely firewalls along the way. But I think I can get it to work if I put a little more elbow grease in it and someone would assist in testing

Seems like a pretty good mod. I haven't had any troubles with firewalls though. Port Forwarding is the way to go, I've been told.

I have a server up and running at the moment with Frackin Universe installed. It should work.

It's a little pricey and it only allows 10 people in at a time, but if we were dead set for an Omniverse server it is an option.
