First Down

If one had told the Quarterback of Chaos that he would need medical care a day ago, Warren wouldn't have had believed them. Yet the beating he had received because of someone who had been using his identity was not something he liked to think about. Someone had impersonated him, and had used his moniker. Just what was the situation, and why had the person done so? The answer to this was not known to the Quarterback of Chaos. Okay, there were many things he didn't presently know such as why his NFL-R was not working and sending out a distress signal. Even the Guardians would be preferable to the white armored Storm Troopers but it seemed he couldn't get his NFL-R to do what he actually wanted it to, for whatever reason. If it was sabotage, whoever had sabotaged his NFL-R was going to get an earful once Warren managed to undo their tamper job on the NFL-R.

As he watched the cars rush past him in the air, Warren sighed. Why could things never be peaceful for a change? Summoning up a bottle of pills with Omnilium Warren took one of them. As the pain shot down from a searing lance to a dull throb, Warren cursed every white clad armor trooper to a slow and painful demise because of their antics, but also cursed the impersonator to a torturous death. Warren was going to find the guy who was raking his name through the mud, and put a stop to this insanity before it got any worse. After all he had nearly been killed by the Storm Troopers. There were going to be no mistakes this time around, Warren knew he had a lot of work to do before he could be ready.

The gleaming towers of Coruscant's buildings were not enough to distract him from the misery that was in his chest. Oh yes, there was going to be a reckoning with the person who had worn his identity and dragged it through the mud like this. Whoever he was, Warren was going to deal with him in due course but perhaps he was going to need a lot of equipment that he didn't have. Redeveloping the functions of his NFL-R was now an essential matter to his own survival. Back there he had been caught off guard. Such was never going to happen again if he could avoid it.

Sitting down on the sidewalk, Warren concentrated and held out his hand. The orb of the substance called "Omnilium" appeared in a brilliant colorful explosion of rainbow colored light. Once it had materialized, Warren pinched off a chunk there, and a piece here until he had removed enough for what he intended to do. The orb was then absorbed by him back into his body. Keeping the material handy, Warren examined it one last time. Whatever it was made out of, Warren knew it was something powerful, it had to be to be able to do what he was about to with it. Imagining the circuitry that made up the interior of the NFL-R Warren concentrated and slowly the substance began to change. Metal particles began to replace some of the Omnilium and by the time it had finished, low and behold he had made what he had wanted. It was a watch that was made out of an onyx like material, in terms of metal. The watch also had a similar gauge to the NFL-R he had worn previously back home, but could also tell time. In any case it was not exactly what he had envisioned, but Warren supposed it was going to have to do. It was unfortunately the only one that he could have on his person, at present due to lack of time to make another.

"I've found you again, sir,"  said Ricky as he approached Warren Zimmer. While he was aware that this was not the Warren Zimmer he was familiar with, it was best if he played the role of a servant to him in order to win his trust. Reforming Wild Card was not going to be easy, and judging from the look on his face someone had really made him angry for some reason. Ricky also knew that while he could take Warren in a fight probably, the better choice would be to play nice and work to earn the trust of Wild Card, so that he could be reformed. It was the most logical option, and one that would pay dividends in the future.

Warren Zimmer was curious. Why was Ricky, one of the Guardians playing nice with him? Was it this strange new place that they were both in? In any case it did warrant some investigation, and so he asked. "What's your angle?"

"Well sir, we're both stuck here. If we were to work together, you would have a chance of getting stronger faster. Your survival chances would also go up, rather than if you went solo."

The boy did raise a very valid point. If they were to work together, the chances of his survival would go up. And Ricky did have an already functional NFL-R, so perhaps Warren could clone features from it for his own personal use. In any case, this was very interesting to say the least.
