Energy Replenishment Moves?
#1
Okay, so when I first chose which character to play here (which I have since un-chosen and had deleted), I inquired about a move which could supply infinite energy to people. As it turned out, that wasn't allowed, and it had to go through a few different variations before being accepted.

Now I have another, similar question:
Would a move which either provided infinite energy to my own character, or which could restore my own character's energy be allowed? And if so, what proficiencies/powers/drawbacks would be needed for something like that? Also, would it need to be a Super Move? And if so, how powerful would the effect be for each Tier?

Also; Omni, if you're reading this; is there any chance that you'd ever consider adding an item that restores regular energy (in much the same way that Medi-Gels restore HP and Elixers restore SP), or have you already decided against that?
I've seen the Senzu Bean, and I know that it can do that, but what I'm meaning is just energy restoration; the Bean fully heals you as well, and as such is rather expensive.

Thanks.

First of all would you care to define energy ? Do you mean SP or the stamina of your character ?

SP cannot be recovered during a post or combat. This isnt to annoy the writers but to keep things balanced and structural. Its to set a limit to the characters. No one likes a goku throwing one spirit bomb after the other without downtime. During that storyline you will have to spend your SP wisely. After which you will probably need to rest icly to recover.

If you mean stamina then we rely on your common sense as a writer not to do the impossible things. It is however possible to give your character a boost in power which indirectly will result in more stamina by using a supermove or tranformstion. But these have drawbacks aswell. It is not possible to gain stamina energy with a simple move.

Generally speaking, i don't see how "infinite" anything could work. There is the option of maybe a move to absorb energy from the environment or from outside sources to replenish your own, but that's finite and probably difficult in battle, snd just not efficient in battle. Maybe a utility super move could trigger some kind oc super adrenaline burst and let you fight LIKE you had unlimited oomph, but....the downsides of that i imagine arts obvious. As for durations for such moves or what proficiencies and powers and such might be required....i have no clue. Buff is the closest thing to my mind, but you can't self-buff so that's out.

Along the lines of restoring your energy....there is again the option if absorbing it from external sources. Maybe some kind of item move fashioned as an adrenal stimulant or something? Give you a kick off energy now, But might leave you feeling even worse when it wears off or something. Not sure about requirements for something like that, though.

Ah well, that's a pity.
Thanks for replying though, guys. :-)

I could see a meditation move being used to restore fatigue. By staying still and focusing on it. Could be useful in group battles for a healer.
Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!

That's good to know, thanks Omni.

Oh, I just had a thought; what if this were to be made into some kind of instant-stamina-replenishing Super Utility Move? Would that be allowed?
And if so; what kind of exchange rate would you get for your SP? For example; would a Tier 1 version of the move restore a 1/3rd of your stamina, a Tier 2 2/3rds, and a Tier 3 all of it? Or would it have to be less effective than that?

I know it's not possible to expend energy to restore SP, but I'm not sure if this goes both ways (because stamina isn't really a quantified mechanic, maybe? I don't really know); or if it's just because SP is vastly more valuable from a gameplay point of view? Hence my question.
