Character name: Knox
Character source: Original.
Character history:
Regarding the world of Athera
Athera's your basic run-of-the mill fantasy world. Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Humans, Halflings and Kharajyr (Khajit) inhabit the continent, as well as other scarcer and less-common species and races. To understand Knox and what he is, however, you'll first need to know a bit more about his creator; the Dark God, Korvad.
Korvad is an entity that goes by many names; the betrayer, malevolent one, unhinged spirit. What many can agree on, though, is that Korvad is a force of evil and wroth, a violent god that should never be named nor spoke of directly. His evil is one that had tinted the lands of Athera millenniums and eons ago, and all-out war was waged to defeat him and restore peace and harmony to the lands. Every man of every race and heritage banded together to stop Korvad from taking over with his army of the undead and the fallen. The war was a long and terrible one, but in the end, Korvad was sealed away in a pocket realm, his darkness never to taint the pure and cleansed lands of Athera again..
But he came back.
Cultists and Necromancers found a way to free the Dark Lord after years of religious worship, research and progress. His current form, however, is much weaker and fragile than his last, years of isolation and imprisonment having left him nullified and frail. But with each passing minute, his dark energy returns to him. His power grows, and in due time, the invasion shall begin again. The Dark Lord shall take his due, and all of Athera shall be at his heel.
About Knox
Knox is a golem construct. A creation of Korvad. He was once a mortal being; a Wood Elf, to be more specific. But that has little significance to him now. Now he is only Knox, a golem construct.
The process of becoming a Golem is one of excruciating pain and unimaginable suffering. It begins with your decapitation; something that would kill you normally, but in this state your life-force and conscious has been preserved. In hindsight, you can still feel and see what is around you and happening to you, but you've lost movement and control of your body, as well as the ability to speak. In essence, you become a shell; a vegetable.
What comes next is known as the burning process. The constructs body is burned and scolded right down to the flesh. This stage of conversion usually happens over the length of a fortnight. During this time, the Golem's body begins to lose touch with itself. It's memories, goals, dreams, ambitions, willpower. All fades away into nothingness and obscurity.
When the burning process is complete, the body is brought in for the final stage of conversion; the resurrection. An empty pumpkin is put in place of the constructs lost head, and a murmuring of a dark prayer will bring the golem back to life; and under your control.
Knox himself is a rarity, a mysterious enigma to many. He was infused with a fragment of Korvard's own godly power, intended to be his "ultimate creation". Knox is different, however, in the sense that through some supernatural, unearthly means and outside interference, he retained his will and sense of self-identity. Or it returned to him, rather.
As soon as this snapped in him, Knox broke out from where he was being kept, escaping and leaving no survivors in his wake. He treaded his own path, sticking to the shadows to keep at bay from necromancers and cultists who would pursue his trail.
Knox would soon learn that such a freedom came with a price, however; his energy, power and life-force itself was being fuelled by Korvad, and without his master to supplement his functioning, Knox would eventually melt and wither away on his own. To fend for himself and survive, he needed to consume and feed on the souls of others. He's done so sparingly so far, still needing to keep a low-profile to avoid recapture and subsequent punishment for his disobedience.
As of recent, Knox had set his eyes on the Halfling village of Gimblewood. Settiling into a small mountain cave not far from the town, he made plans to reign terror upon it's inhabitants in his own style, and devour the souls he needed to temporarily sustain his life-span...
But... that never came to pass, however. When he fell into a strange state of sleep whilst sitting upon his makeshift stone throne, and was greeted by the pale figure known as Omni, surrounded by a white void of nothingness...

He's exactly this, except he'd be wearing gloves. If you ever saw his bare skin, well... there would be no skin, just flesh and all the red stuff. All his skins been burned off completely. He also stands at an imposing height of six-foot something. It's also noteworthy that he can't actually speak aside from grunts and snarls, he just communicates via telepathy 'n' stuff.

Starting Moves:
Wrist Blades (300 OM)
Murderous tool's of Knox's own tinkering. With a flick of his wrists, these daggers will pop out from his bracers with a nasty chink. They have the size and width of two very long daggers (not that far off shortsword-length), thick and pointy. These weapons are quite efficient for stabbing, cutting and slashing.
Ball of Flame (300 OM)
Knox takes a moment to charge up (usually takes about a second), a palm-sized hall of fire appearing in his hand. Once ready, Knox can hurl the fireball at his opponent from any angle, whether it's an overhead toss or an underarm slug.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. Yup.
