I'd Like to Play a Game
#1
Greetings, Omniverse. I'd like to play a game. This is a simple game, where you create a hero or villain. To start, pick three fictional gadgets or items that aren't OP. Next, pick one character from a fictional universe that is either weaker than most characters or is a deuteragonist. The gadgets are your weapons, and the character is your sidekick. Describe how you fight (or cause) crime with these. My items were:
1. Star Trek Phaser
2. Generic Steampunk Hydraulic-Powered Boots
3. Every Spy Thing Ever Wall Climbing Gloves

For my sidekick, I chose:
Ratchet and Clank: Clank

Everything I have, sans the Phaser, is designed for mobility. The hydraulic-powered boots let me change my trajectory mid-air, and the wall climbing gloves allow me to more accurately maneuver in smaller areas. Clank is also very useful for mobility. I mean, he lets you slow your descent, jump higher, and even fly (for a short time)! Clank is also useful for non-mobility reasons; he can shoot a laser able to cut through walls, his hands are basically guns, and if he gets off of your back, he can even fight by himself! As well as this, Clank can help in battle by giving advice with his near-encyclopedic knowledge. The phaser would be my primary weapon, allowing me to shoot an enemy with a blast that can stun (avoiding guilt for small criminals) or even kill (for incredibly dangerous criminals, or aliens). I would operate by moving as much and as fast as possible, soaring around a battlefield with Clank's Heli-Pack and Swingshot, supplementing it with the hydraulic-powered boots and climbing gloves. When possible I would use stealth, though. I would shoot enemies with the phaser with pinpoint accuracy, skirting around them so they can't attack me.

Hopefully you all didn't think this was too stupid. Please make your own with this system. (Or don't, and make me HATE YOU!)

Dang, I would've chosen a phaser. I'll have to play this later when it isn't 3AM and everything is more coherent in general! Cool thread!

1. Electric ray gun
2.lightsaber
3.mind control ray

Yugioh: blue eyes white dragon

I can defend myself by electrocuting my foes, lightsaber can block shots and cut through most things. The mind control ray is perfect for influencing my enemies to make them obey my will while my dragon can transport me around and fire blue fire at my other enemies. Hero or villain? Only time will decide.

I think you misunderstood the concept of this thread, pal.

3 items that are NOT OP (mind control is always OP), and a sidekick that is weaker than normal. BEWD is one of the strongest cards in YugiOh.

1) Bat-Credit Card (Batman and Robin)
2) Cloaking Device (Predator)
3) Bag of Holding (D&D)

Sidekick) R2D2 (Star Wars)

So, got nigh-infinite money, can turn invisible, and can hold all my purchased items and carry them with me. R2D2 is a great hacker/pal.

R2 scopes the internet for crimes taking place, I go invis and use various mundane items to foil said plans. Not a beat-em-up hero, but a capture/stop hero.

I tried to take my own physical and mental limitations into account while picking my items and pal. While I'm not in bad shape, I'm getting older and I have a bum leg. My upper body strength ain't impressive either. Fighting isn't my forte nor is mobility. I have a wide knowledge base, but I'm not highly trained in any one thing.

Basically, I chose a line-up that would offer the greatest versatility in anything I wanna do.

1. Bag of Tricks (DnD)
2. Techno-Trousers (Wallace and Gromit)
3. A really good lock pick.

Partner: Luke Triton (Professor Layton)

Bag of Tricks gives me infinite tiny animals that obey my will. Luke can talk to animals. I now have infinite cameras that can blend in just about anywhere.

The Techno-Trousers allows me to mostly ignore my SMA, and it lets me climb buildings. With my lock pick and Luke's intelligence, we can get in and out of almost every building. We'd get stolen stuff and return it.
