Trapped In My Dreams
#1
The kick from the Atlesian Paladin had knocked her out cold. There was a sharp instant of pain, then just blankness. The faunus laid on her back in a coma. Even as the time passed, she found herself in a black void. Her freedom of willpower had been stripped completely. What kind of sinister nightmare was wished upon her?

The only thing that broke the darkness was a huge reverse-coloured-silhouette of what looked like a faceless human man. Fear instantly crawled down the rabbit’s back as her hair stood on end. His wolfish grin was especially horrifying. She attempted to call out to him, only to realize that her restriction of movement wasn't the only thing taken from her.

He spoke of her new found gift as a prime, the ability she would now possess and of his ‘interest’ in her.

Velvet was now in denial. If she could laugh, this would have been hysterical. As soon as she wakes up, Coco would hear all about it. The odd entity(?) said his goodbyes and disappeared into the voided blackness. The velveteen rabbit remained suspended there for what felt like eternity, but was only a few more seconds than her captor. When she blinked, the black surrendered to white. The hueless luminosity of the Omniverse blinded her so badly she had to cover her eyes.

“Coco?” She called out. “Yatsuhashi? Fox?”

After getting no response, she looked around, blinking constantly to adjust to the new environment. People walked around in small crowds or by their lonesome in the directions of some pearlescent wash of colours.

Velvet’s eyes finally adjusted to the brightness. More scanning of her environment revealed a giant statue, completely white of a stuffed rabbit. She scoffed at the sight of the plush-toy-replica.

“That’s a little demeaning.” She remarked to herself placing her hands on her hips. “How long is this weird dream going to last?”

She sighed in defeat after a moment of staring at the structure of the cute rabbit. This was all crazy, but perhaps there was more she could do than just stand around and wait to wake up.

The faunus picked a random direction and marched forward. She had absolutely no idea where she was going, but it's all just a dream anyways. Maybe if she thought enough about her team, she could get them to appear in her dream. She called out towards no one in particular, getting strange glares from ongoers.

“Yatsuhashi! Fox! Coco!” She yelled as loud as possible, cuffing her hands to form a makeshift megaphone. “Where are you guys?!”

Still no responses, even after having walked for an hour. She had continued to call their names but no one ever called back. The bunny hung her head in disappointment and continued on her way. It was only now, though, she had realized how far these doorways were. After all it did take an entire hour of walking to make it around halfway there. If only she had Yang’s motorcycle - Bumblebee, she remembered it was called - that would make this much easier.

She shuffled through her pockets slightly annoyed when something tapped her hand, something that wasn't in her pocket before. A glassy orb infused with a faint glowing light. She looked at it curiously as it warmed her hand.

“What…is this?” She asked herself, reminding her of Omni’s words. What she wanted could be hers if she cared enough for it. She held the orb tightly and made her wish. “Can you make me something to move around more quickly?” She asked looking at the orb as if it would answer. When she didn't get an instant response, she started believing that she just gone crazy by now, but she could feel it. The orb was working slowly. It’s faint glow got brighter and it warmed up more like the rays from the sun, soothing.

After several minutes, a copy of Bumblebee dropped on the ground in front of her. Although she had some concerns about driving the motorcycle, it was better than walking. She stepped on, strapping on the helmet and kicking back the stand. With a bit of a yelp the cycle exploded to life, the engine roaring loudly.

“Alright, let's take this easy, please?” She asked the bike like it would listen. She pulled back the throttle too quickly at first, sending her forward much to fast. It screeched to a stop when she let go. Her heart pounded against her chest. “That’s not easy!”

After calming herself down, she attempted again, being as easy as possible. It started up it motion again, but slower this time. Velvet led into a faster speed gradually towards the Frozen Fields’ gate. Within a matter of minutes, she was there. She stopped in front of the giant swirling vortex of colours and looked at in awe. Did she really have the imagination to dream up something like this?

The cold air from the gate could be felt whooshing through in a light breeze. It gave Velvet chills. She revved the engine and drove through.
