When Undyne appeared in Ambrosia's Recall Station again - a large statue of some childlike human oddly reminding her of Frisk, holding its hands out with the station in its middle, her first words were: "Ghh... what the hell was that all about?" This girl claimed to have fought her yet she had never met her before. Had she taken the souls? And Flowey's body?
A new crack appeared on her SOUL and the feeling of two fingers falling off and turning to dust pulled her back to the present. Actually, she should be more worried about herself right now... though Betty hadn't attacked her, she felt very weakened. A monster servant of Pokute Palace wearing a frilly maid outfit approached her, looking noticeably worried, and gasped as she arrived and saw Undyne's sorry state. "Oh no, you're injured! Have you recalled out of a battle? Can you walk?"
"... probably", Undyne replied as she pushed herself to her feet. Yeah, she could still manage.
"Then follow me, quickly! The Healing Center is right around the corner." She took Undyne by her armored arm and led her through a side entrance into the palace, then into... a bathhouse?
"Hey, you're mistaken... I need some first aid, not a bath."
"Nono, we're in the right place. This is magical water. Just step in and soak your injuries in it, it'll heal you." She stood by as Undyne pulled her armor off manually, first ridding herself of the gloves and arm-guards, then the heavy chestpiece and finally the leg-guards and boots. She cared little that by going into the water she was drenching the tanktop and pants that she wore underneath that right now - to take those off would just have wasted time. She made a silent promise that if she died here she'd come back as a ghost to haunt that girl for bringing her to the wrong place.
As soon as her battered body sunk into the water, that promise was forgotten about. Undyne could not help but to groan with unrestrained relief as the warm, minimally green water washed over her and her pain vanished almost instantly. Pain in places that she hadn't even realized hurt. She submerged her head as well and let the water soak her hair, then sat on the staircase leading into the pool. "Thank you", she told the girl with a bright smile. "I feel better already."
"That's good! But, you need to stay in the water for a few hours, your injuries will only heal if you don't leave it."
"I guessed..." She looked at her left hand which was missing the pinky and index fingers. "I'd better change into something more appropriate then. Thank you for bringing me here, though. I owe you one."
"Don't mention it. I'll leave you to your recovery then!" she said and, with Undyne not protesting, left.
Okay, first on the list was to get herself something to wear. She closed her eyes and focused, summoning a two-piece swimsuit like the one that she had worn that day with Alphys, on the beach. The day before she'd been brought here. She let the spring do its work while summoning, then as soon as she felt the soft tissue in her hands she stripped her clothing off including the eyepatch, dumped it onto a pile next to her armor, donned the swimsuit and leapt into the water - which she was promptly punished for with a stinging pain across her abdomen. Even if the pain was gone she was far from healed yet, after all. Not that it kept her from going at it a bit more gently, submerging herself entirely and letting her gills take over while she did a few circles in the deeper part of the pool. But even that wasn't something that she could keep up for long: what little stamina she had regained since the fight with Flowey was rapidly lost from the swimming, and soon she needed to stop.
"Whew... I should probably check for Sans's messages," she told herself as she returned to the edge to have a seat. Thankfully her phone was waterproof - what else would it be when she lived in WATERfall of all places? - so even though it had gotten soaked along with her pants it functioned just fine when she pulled it out. Well, what do you know, he answered already. So he was still in Ambrosia, that was good. But what was that about a special surprise? Had he found Papyrus? She rolled her eyes and typed a fast reply, then looked around for a good place to relax.
A statue in the back of the bathhouse caught her eye. It was that kid looking like Frisk again, holding a jar and with its mouth wide open. From both the jar and the mouth came a steady stream of the healing water that was likely drained from somewhere else. It fell into a shallow pool and from there poured into the main one. Hmm, what if...? She grabbed the phone just in case, walked and swam over to the shallow pool and sat. Right beneath the waterfall, perfect! She crossed her legs beneath herself, put the phone down next to the pool where it wouldn't be washed away by the current, closed her eyes and breathed deep in through both her gills and nose.
She had meditated under waterfalls before, but never under one whose water healed and was this warm. She felt relaxed, almost drowsy, and allowed her conscience to drift a little as the healing waters continued their work on her body. Of course, a true warrior's senses were always sharp like a blade. Nobody could hope to sneak up on her even if she meditated a little. Nobody at all.
...
... were those footsteps she heard, coming into the room? It'd better not be some kid wanting to try on her suit.

As soon as the fish knight warped in, she was immediately spotted by a little blonde girl in a floral dress. As Undyne looked around confused at her suddenly change of location, the little girl snapped a photo of her and sent it off.
A few miles away, in the oHarmony Headquarters, an alarm sounded. It made a loud ascending Wooooooop sound as red lights flashed from signals embedded near the ceiling.
A fox with a headset pointed at their screen, which displayed the just taken photo.
“Miss President! It’s Undyne! She’s-”
“Okay, TURN OFF THE ALARMS!” Yelled a very perturbed alicorn, who has risen out of her seat in confusion.
Upon the sound of her aggravated voice, a nearby cat in front of her own control panel, lifted her paw off the red button that read “Press in Case of Emergency” and then slammed it down on another button, “Press in Case of False Alarm.” The flashing lights and ear piercing sound finally ceased, sparing the former princess of a future if hearing problems.
“Why do we even have an alarm system like that? Even if we have a fire or something people would be too death the hear it coming!”
“Miss President! Undyne has returned to Ambrosia!” Cried out the fox, unphased by the events that just transpired.
“Oh good, where is she headed?”
“This report just in, it appears she’s being ushered into the palace’s Healing Center. She may have just came from a battle.”
“Ah, well, alert Alphys, she may want to visit her while recovering.”
“Hold on a minute Miss President!”
All eyes shot across the room towards a pink ferret looking thing with twitching ribbons that trail from his head. He makes a pronounced step forward.
“Mind my intrusion, but we can’t have Alphys reunite with her while she’s in the palace!”
“Sylveon, I hired you make a commercial, you’re not even attached to this project!”
“You knew what you were in for when you hired me!” He stated in a jovial tone, as if being difficult to work with was a brag worthy quality.
“No I didn’t. I never hired you befo-”
“Miss President, I have people all over the front of the palace, people ready to pull out their phones and shoot the happy couple as they reunite! You know how much this will be a boost for the company?” He said with a shit-eating grin spread across his smarmy face. Then it suddenly dropped to a frown. The change in emotion was so jarring, it was as if it were scripted. “But, Guu won’t let me set up cameras in the palace, especially in the healing pool area. Something about respecting her daughter’s privacy. But anyways the point is, let Alphys wait.
Sylveon shuffled his weight forward, as he mustered up the money shot, directed straight at the princess.
“Have them reunite at the perfect moment.” He said, puppy dog eyes that would kill most men.
However, she was not most men. The president was fuming, she stamped both her hooves down in front of him, throwing him off balance. As he got up straight, she shot her neck forward and pressed her face against his.
“Listen here. It’s bad enough what I have to do around this place! I was the Princess of love before a crazy unicorn brought me here! Running a hook up vehicle is a Tartaros of a downgrade in my book, and I’m not going to turn one of the few GENUINE relationships I’ve come across into one of your advertising campaigns!”
“But president-”
“We are going to notify Alphys that her loved one is here, she is going to spend time with her entirely uninterrupted and unfilmed. And maybe, if we’re lucky, she’ll do a testimonial when it’s all through. Are we clear on this?”
Sylveon was quiet for a moment, hoping his disapproving glare would give a last minute change of heart..
“I said, are we clear?”
“Crystal.”
Alphys had just got the news. Her heart skipped a beat as she read the text message from oHarmony.
Undyne was nearby! After almost a year in the Omniverse, after almost a year of searching for her, she just wound up stumbling into the same town!
Leaving the security of her hotel room, she took off into the disorienting chaos of the birthday party crowds. She knew Undyne was in the palace, in the medical center. She span around, looking for the pink building in the horizon. When it finally came into view, she took off as fast as her little legs could take her.
She didn’t keep track of how long it took her to get there, she just watched as the building came closer and closer, a monument of her endless quest coming to its merciful conclusion.
She eventually passed through the Pokute palace gates, waddled through the jungle sanctuary and made her way into the building.
As she approached the door to the medical center, she slowed, choosing to sneak a peek into the room before heading in.
There she was, meditating under a waterfall.
Suddenly, all the emotions flooded in at once. She could feel her heart beating at an enormous rate, a wave of warmth traveled up her chest and even across her face. Seeing her again, not just in the most anime of positions ever, but in the bathing suit she wore that day they spent together, sent a cavalcade of memories, some good, some bad, all of them cherished.
She had gone over them hundreds of times in her head in the past, and every single time before then she was just a lonely girl pining for the only person that reciprocated her feelings, but now she felt like she was in her own anime, the heroine, reuniting with her lost love after a long journey, having one last flashback before the big reunion.
Who was she kidding, Undyne was the protagonist here, Alphys was the lost love interest in this situation. At least that’s what she believed.
After thinking for a second, she instead went into a neighboring room. She summoned her bathing suit from that day and quickly changed into it.
Now properly dressed for it, she slowly crept into the medical center, placing her clothing in one of the cubbies as she inched towards the pool. Her heart was pounding out of her chest as she felt a strange mixture of fear and excitement. She didn’t even consider the noise her feet were making. She didn’t even consider that a warrior like Undyne would be aware of another presence in the room even while deep in meditation.
Not that it mattered. Alphys slipped and fell into the pool with a splash.
As she regained her wits, she heard Undyne speak, with drenched glasses, she could see that the warrior didn’t even open her eyes at the disturbance.
“I don’t mind sharing this space, but at least be quiet. I’m trying to meditate!”
In retrospect, she was lucky not to be attacked, though now she had established herself as extremely clumsy, she hoped the warrior had put her mind at ease of any possible threat.
The nerdy drake climbed back on her feet. The water on her glasses completely slid off as they came in contact with the air, it was one of her proudest inventions. In retrospect, she should have sold the concept while she was the royal scientist, but oh well.
She waded through the pool, just to get closer to her. When she was a mere 30 feet away, she conquered the frog in her throat and spoke up.
“Un-undyne?”

“Un-undyne?”
It was just one word, stammered and hard to be heard through the sound of the waterfall splashing onto her. Yet that one word sent a jolt through Undyne's body as if lightning had struck her. Her eyes sprung open and fixated themselves onto the drake in the pool.
"Alphys?"
Her face showed surprise, a little shock, but beneath the surface a flood of emotions rushed through her, and it was as powerful as Alphys's had been a few minutes ago. The boundless love for her, the indescribable happiness at the sight of her being here, the relief to see that she was alive and well - and the anger at herself for not having found out sooner, no, for almost having forgotten about Alphys over the last day or so. That last bit was singlehandedly brushed aside by the other emotions though.
She stood up and leapt forward, giving Alphys only time for a scared yelp before she was upon her and wrapped her arms around her for a hug tighter even than the one that she'd given to Sans. The force of her jump made the poor drake lose her balance and they fell backwards into the shallow water. For a moment they were both submerged, then Undyne lifted Alphys up without loosening her hug in the slightest so that she was almost entirely out of the water and able to breathe again.
"Alphys..." she almost whispered, pressing her head into the area between her shoulder and neck. There was no mistaking it, the feeling beneath her hands, the scent, the voice... it was her beloved.
"Undyne..." Alphys replied, but wriggled. "T-too... hard..."
"Mmmh? Oh! Sorry." She loosened the hug a bit and Alphys gasped in her arms, struggling to breathe after having been squeezed like that. And that wasn't even her best, not with those injuries! She lowered herself to her knees and let Alphys down so that she could stand in the shallow water and pulled back a bit, then locked lips with her. They'd had smooches here and there before, but never a real proper kiss like this one, and Undyne saw no better time to change that than now. Not that she was especially good at it, and Alphys wasn't either - but who cared about that now? Not her, that's for sure. Ignoring Alphys's tomato-red face and her flailing arms she kept the kiss up for several more seconds, then with an audible *MWAH* pulled away and squeezed her again.
"I've missed you so much", she said. "I had no idea that you... that you were here..."
"Y-yeah, I... I only heard of y-your arrival... recently..." Alphys muttered as she sunk her face into Undyne's neck and hair as the fish was doing with her too. "I'm so happy t-that I found you..."
For a little while they just stood there, exchanging more than words could ever say through their hug. Their relationship had begun as a good friendship and evolved into love after many years, only for them to be separated shortly after. This separation had made their love for each other grow much greater and now it all came together at once. Like an oil-soaked set of logs ignited by a spark bursting into a big flame - well, Alphys may have compared it to some two chemicals coming together instead.
"How'd you know I was here?" Undyne eventually asked, breaking the silence. At the same time she cursed herself for ending a moment that she would have liked to last forever, and eagerly awaited Alphys's response. She had so much to tell her!
"It's a... uhm, long story", Alphys mumbled, still blushed dark red.
"Well, I'm not going anywhere... for a while", Undyne replied, taking a break to hold back a pained grunt when Alphys accidentally touched one of the injuries that hadn't yet healed. "And I'm going nowhere without you either now that we are back together." First she rushed to the edge of the water to grab her eyepatch and cover up her blind eye. Then she pulled Alphys along to the deeper part of the pool and sat her by the edge whilst she herself stayed in the water. Doctor's orders and all that, plus she was hurried to finish the treatment to go outside with Alphys. "I've so much to share with you, Alphys. But you go first. I want to hear everything... please."

Admittedly, it wasn’t a long story at all, but her head still whirred from the kiss, and her back still ached from that hug, she wasn’t sure if full sentences were in her vocabulary, no less a full story.
But, this is Undyne we are talking about, she didn’t want to disappoint the love of her life!
She took a deep breath, and she began.
“So, uh, the last thing I remember before the Omniverse is that day we spent together, the first day on the surface.”
Alphys face palmed. Undyne asked how she found her, she didn’t ask for a flippin’ origin story. She peered over at the fish knight, but she didn’t seem disappointed at all.
“That was when I was taken, too!” She said with a big smile on her face. “Well, what happened next?”
Alphys was glad, not just because Undyne failed to notice the faux pas, but because they were taken around the same time, they had the same memories. Ever since she heard from Frisk and Toriel that they had lived on the surface for months, she worried her love may not have the same memories she had. Looks like Omni was kind to her in this case.
“Well, when I arrived here, I just kind of wandered for a bit, looking for everybody else, looking for you. Eventually I signed up for a school in Coruscant, to learn about Omniverse’s technology. I didn’t stay longer than a semester, they were full of jerks and I got everything I needed from them so I left
“I got some odd jobs in Coruscant and then Costa Del Sol, my current gig is with this group of heroes called ‘The Avengers.’ I’m their lead scientist and stuff.”
“Avengers? Wait, wasn’t Frisk part of that group?”
“Uh yeah! She and Toriel, seeing their names on the roster got me to join up!”
“So how did you find me?”
“Oh.” The doctor blushed a little as the conversation actually got back to the question at hand. “Well, I had been searching for signs of you on the dataverse the whole time. Out of desperation, I pled to this dating site for help in the search, oHarmony.
“Well, turns out their Headquarters was right here in Ambrosia. When they told me you were living her now, I arranged a diplomatic mission out here. Frisk and Toriel came with me.”
“Are they still here?”
“Oh no, they left soon after diplomacy with the Princess. I remained behind for… well for you. oHarmony notified me when you recalled in earlier and well, we are here.”
“I might have to thank those oHarmony guys myself sometime later!”
“Heh, so do I.” Alphys said, wiggling in place. Putting her faith in that site paid off tenfold.
“Though, I’m surprised how much you’ve accomplished in such a short time.” Undyne began as she processed everything that had been said. Then her eyes widened. “Wait, how long have you been in the Omniverse?”
“Over a year… I think about 14-15 months I think.”

"Fourteen to fifteen... months? C'mon Alphys, quit pulling my leg", Undyne said with a nervous smile. They had only been together a short while ago, a couple of days at the most! That was when she had been dragged here, and she'd seen Alphys with her all that time until then.
"I-I'm serious!" Alphys exclaimed. Undyne's disbelief made her stutter again.
"But we only reached the surface a few days ago! I was with you the entire time! When I first... was alone, I was already here, and then I..." She sputtered out but seeing Alphys's look knew that she was being honest.
"Hey, do you... remember that one cartoon, Star Trip? That one episode where they bring the Starboat Company to near light-speed and..."
"... it causes time dilation for everyone in the spaceship. Of course I remember, that episode was awesome."
"Something like that happens here in the Omniverse too. We might've been pulled at the same time, or maybe Omni is able to travel through time to pick you at any point in time that he likes. The thing is, what may have felt like a few days to you felt like months to me."
"So that means that, if we talk about how we perceived that time you... were around for over a year, versus a couple of days from me?" Undyne asked. Alphys's silence told her enough and she pushed herself out of the water to wrap her into another hug, and never mind what she was supposed to do to heal up. "I missed you every minute that I didn't see you, and you endured that feeling for over an entire year..." That was one thing that Alphys didn't quite realize about herself. She was stronger inside than she thought she was.
Finally she said: "It doesn't matter now. I'll never allow for us to be separated again." And she underlined that statement by giving her another squeeze.
"I-I'd really... like that", Alphys replied with that cute blush across her cheeks again.
"So then... that means that Sans, Frisk and Queen Toriel are around... and Flowey said that Chara, Prince Asriel's sister, is also here, not to mention that Betty girl looked like she knew me too... Papyrus must be around as well, right?"
"I'm not sure", admitted Alphys. "There's been rumors going around but I never got confirmation on anything."
"What about King Asgore or Prince Asriel?"
"No idea. I never heard anything about either of them."
"Damnit... then it's back to my original plan", muttered Undyne. She lowered herself back into the healing waters. By now only one injury remained that needed patching up, outside of a few scratches that could heal on their own. They could leave very soon. "I'm going to speak to the Princess of Ambrosia... I think the people here call her Guu? This place looks perfect for us, the monsters of the underground, to live in. My priority is of course to serve the royal family, but since none of them are around I will offer my servitude as a knight to the Ambrosian Princess. At least until I find Asgore or Asriel... or until Toriel takes the throne back. And maybe even beyond that."
"A-as a knight?" asked Alphys. "You mean royal guard?"
"No, they seem to have that covered already. I mean as a knight. That is if she lets me go back with you, otherwise I'll just have to find work elsewhere."
"They'll probably have work for you! They're usually looking."
"Hmm. Speaking of traveling... I was in Coruscant until a while ago."
"O-oh?"
"That was how I got injured like this. Do you remember that yellow flower that restrained us all when we were in Asgore's throne room and tried to kill Frisk? I went after him cause he was killing humans."
"The yellow flower?" Alphys asked. Undyne, unaware that Alphys was trying to gather her thoughts to explain to her that she knew about Flowey, nodded and explained:
"Name's Flowey, yeah... that was a pretty brutal fight. I was here with Sans and his friend, some girl called Desco, when we saw him on a news report..."

“Yeah um...” She said, averting her gaze from Undyne. “I knew about that.”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
She thought her words carefully. While she needed to tell her everything, about her true lab, about the experiments, she knew now wasn’t the right time to burden her with everything. Right now, she wanted Undyne to enjoy today, so she went with a half truth.
“Well, me, Frisk, and Toriel ran into Sans as we were going through the gate.” She said. “He told us you were on the warpath to fight a flower.”
“Well son of a bitch,” she said with a chortle, “suddenly his cheeky little comments in his texts make a lot more sense!”
“Well, he gave me your number earlier in the conversation, and I’m sorry. I sent those texts.”
“Why are you sorry?”
“Well, I knew I shouldn’t interfere with your job, I was just afraid I was going to lose you before I could run into you. I wasn’t thinking straight, I mean obviously you’d come out of it okay but I just, worried more than I should.”
“Hey, don't worry about it!” She said, with a smile. “After a year apart, I can’t blame you if you forgot a little bit how awesome I am! And you had good intention, yeah?”
Alphys gave her a little awkward smile, which Undyne returned tenfold. She suddenly reached over and grabbed her by the claw. It startled the drake a bit, though after everything that’s happened in this room, nothing could full on surprise her anymore.
“Let’s go enjoy the party!”
“What about your injuries?”
“All the major ones healed up already!”
The doctor looked her over, and she was right. All that was left was some scratches and bruises that would probably heal up normally.
“So what do you say?”
Alphys took one look in Undyne’s eyes, and it gave her a new bundle of courage.
“Yeah! Let’s do it!”
“That’s the spirit!” The knight said excitedly.

Undyne picked up her pile of discarded clothes from the ground while Alphys went ahead into the changing rooms, but she stopped in her tracks when she noticed what state they were in. Since she had worn those beneath her armor during the fight with Flowey they were now torn up and smelled of sap. "Alphys? I'll be over in a minute!" she called. Now how did that go again... right, sit down and focus. She put the old clothes aside and visualized a new set before her mind's eye. Since they were going out to party a little she should get something a bit fancier! A white shirt, her favorite black jacket on top (one she had bought with Alphys's help), blue jeans and a new pair of red boots. She also summoned a red scarf and a new eyepatch, plus a scrunchie to tie her hair back. Must've lost her other one in the fight against Flowey at some point...
By the time she was done Alphys was already dressed and waiting for her - wearing that same dress that she had worn when she'd told her the truth at the garbage dump. She gave her an awkward smile when she saw herself caught red-handed staring at her. Undyne just grinned back, picked up her items and headed to the changing rooms. "We'll have to toss those away", she noted when she came back out a minute later, feeling greatly refreshed.
"We could extract their Omnilium", noted Alphys.
"How's that work?"
"Like summoning except... the other way around? You de-summon something."
"I guess that's better than dumping it somewhere. You do half, I do... oh, but try not to touch it." She divided the pieces into two stacks on the ground and pushed one over to Alphys, then focused on her own. Within five minutes everything was gone and Undyne stood back up, holding her hand out to Alphys. "NOW we can go to the party. Speaking of, what's the occasion?"
"Well, this girl called Molly, it's her birthday. She's kind of an important person around here, so-"
"Oh! I met Molly already, when I first got here. It was her who signed me into the Recall Station and ran a search for the other monsters. If I understood correctly she's one of Guu's daughters, a princess?"
"She's Gildarts's daughter, who's a good friend of Guu. So the occasion is a pretty huge one."
"Hmm... I wish I'd known, I would have stuck Flowey into a pot and gifted it to her."
The festivities were already past the big climax - the cake had been cut, the gifts gifted, the candles extinguished - but still the party was going on, people were chattering, eating and drinking. The sheer size of it made Undyne's head spin: she could see a massive bouncy castle - actually "colossal" would be more fitting -, a pool filled with what she presumed to be jello, an alleyway of shops and stalls, some selling food, including...
"... Alphys, excuse me for a moment", Undyne mumbled as she began to walk over to one of the stands, a cardboard and wood stand warped by the wind, while rolling back her sleeves. "Glamburgers", the sign read. And it was manned by...
"JEREMY!"
The anthropomorphic cat that had obliviously been flipping burgers behind the counter froze. The color drained from his face as he caught sight of the approaching Undyne until he was white as a ghost, and he hurriedly stepped back. "U-u-u-Undyne!" he blurted out, forcing a way oversized smile onto his face. Beads of sweat sized like chicken eggs were running down his forehead.
"I see that you've found yourself a job, eh? A Glamburger stand, hmm?"
"I-I can explain! I... please don't hurt me", he begged and cowered further behind the old kitchen equipment that his burger patties were roasting on.
"How much d'you charge for a burger?"
"... eh?"
Undyne produced a small pouch with gold coins from her pocket. "I'd like two, please."
"O-oh! Sure! I, just a moment!" He broke out of his shock and swiftly assembled two burgers. Just then Alphys caught up to them. She blinked as Undyne handed her one of the burgers and dug into her own.
"I guess that you have a reason to be scaring Burgerpants out of his pants?"
"He and I had a little agreement", Undyne explained. "If I saw him flipping burgers again when I came back to Ambrosia, I'd beat him up."
"Alphys! You're here too?" Jeremy asked, looking rejoiced, but then turned back to Undyne and spoke, stuttering: "Well... yes, but - I scored a job! This is just to pay the bills until then!" he hastily explained. "See, I was able to rent this equipment for the party and I'm making good money! But as soon as the party's over I'm going back to my other workplace."
"Which is?"
"A film studio. It's run by this feline-esque monster called Sylveon. He's a little eccentric but it pays fairly well." He beamed with pride as he said that.
"If it does, why do you run this place?"
"Well, the advance on my first paycheck could only carry me so far. I can't live off of noodle soup for the remaining week, so I set this up."
Undyne stepped aside when a pair of felines reminding her of Catty approached for a pair of burgers. "So then, you got your dream job and yet you're also flipping burgers. Alphys, what do you say: do I beat him up?" she asked, turning to her and winked.
"Leave him alone!" Alphys replied but laughed as she did. "If for nothing else then because these burgers taste delicious."
"Hmm... I guess." She wiped her mouth and checked the pricing board that she hadn't noticed up until now, then put the matching amount of coins on the counter. "Keep up the good work then! And do let me know if you're in a movie, I'll be sure to watch it." They then stepped back from the counter to leave him to it, and Undyne took Alphys's hand again. "Come to think of it, by the way - don't these oHarmony guys have an office here in Ambrosia?"
"Actually, their headquarters is here." She looked around. "I wonder if they're going to want to interview us..."

Ice Bear had woken up from a long nap. He saw it was daytime, and a huge party had been going on for some time. Surely he hadn't slept that long.
He saw a city-wide party was occuring, and he decided to go check it out. He wondered if this was the party Pinkie Pie had referred to earlier in the week.
He saw the party had several attractions and such, and several local businesses were taking part in the celebrations. Ice Bear kept walking around. He smelled the party related aromas - food. He didn't stand out amongst the city's citizens roaming about, partying and celebrating and trying to taste and partake in all the festivities.
He smelt burgers out of all the aromas specifically. Burgers was something he had longed for, probably should have cooked them sooner. The Sty and Fry only served fish and fish related sides, bless them. He walked up to the burger stand, deciding to try a burger. The sign said "Jeremy's Burgers". He saw there was a humanoid fish creature and a more lizard-like creature, both walking and talking just like Ice Bear nearby. He was next in line.
"Ice Bear will have, uh two boneless burgers and a side of fries, and a two liter of cola." Ice Bear said bluntly but not unpleasantly.
Jeremy was anxious. "... my burgers don't have bones in them!"
Ice Bear looked at him sagely "then what's the problem?"
Jeremy got flustered and gave him regular burgers. They didn't have bones in them, so Ice Bear shouldn't know the difference.
Ice Bear couldn't help but overhear the fish lady talking to her partner about Guu a bit. Something about wanting to meet up with the odd, eccentric but mostly benevolent leader of Ambrosia.
"Ice Bear knows Guu. Guu is good." he says, eating one of his burgers quickly, having not eaten in a while. He raises his jug of cola, drinking a big swig of it.
Undyne was amazed at the fact a tall polar bear was walking and talking.
"I haven't seen any polar bears since Snowdin. Name's Undyne, and this is my partner in life Alphys. I want to offer my services to Guu. Do you know of anything?" The fish lady stood in awe of the polar bear.
Ice Bear nodded "Ice Bear can put in a good word with Guu. Guu surely will need our assistance on something. She helped set Ice Bear up with a nice residence whilst finding work. Ice Bear will lead the way. Guu's palace is in the middle, the pink mansion surrouned by jungle. We go there, and we can find work.
Ice Bear took a bit of the second burger, and felt something hard. "Ice Bear said boneless." to Jeremy.
"are you... kidding me?!" Jeremy said, a bit irritated.

As soon as Alphys suggested visiting HQ, alarms went off back at the oHarmony Headquarters.
“TURN THAT OFF!” Yelled Cadance, causing the same cat at the control board to slam the cancel button. The Alicorn put a hoof across her chest as she breathed in, and then extended the leg outward as she breathed out. She could already feel a bit more relaxed from the exercise, but that didn’t halt the shivering. “They are coming here for an interview. Set up one of our sound stages. I’ll question them myself.”
She turned towards Sylveon, who was barely holding in his glee.
“You think you could get one of your sleeper agents to make sure they get here?”
“What makes you think I got-”
“Not right now Sylveon, let’s just get them over here.”
Suddenly, in comes a polar bear to disrupt their peace. He suddenly turned the conversation towards meeting the princess. Sylveon’s rage was palpable
“That dastardly polar bear! He must be working for our rivals to keep us from the publicity! I’ll call my friends in the mafia to do deal wi-”
Just as he was pulling out his phone, Cadance whopped him over the head with a hoof.
“Hush it, I doubt they could even get in to speak to the princess right now. And even if they could, I wouldn’t send hit men after them!”
“Well, considering the Mafia in this town, it wouldn’be a professional in the slightest...”
“I don’t care! We are not taking part in illegal action!” She took her stance, seated in the chair in the middle of the room. “Now we sit here and wait!”
“Seriously, I doubt the mafia in this town could do something illegal...”
Cadance turned her attention to the screen. The trio had reached the palace. They were greeted by a sign that read: “Unless of an Emergency, please move official business to tomorrow.”
“Huh, I guess she didn’t want to be bothered while the party was going on.” Stated Alphys.
“Ice Bear thinks that makes sense.”
“Well, it can wait. Even royalty have to take time off every now-and-then!” Said Undyne with a mile wide grin. It almost reminded her of Asgore, the frequent tea breaks they would take. “Say, let’s go to that oHarmony place, I’d like to thank them personally!”
Suddenly, a little girl shot up, pointing her finger while standing on her tippy toes.
“Oh my god! The oHarmony headquarters must be that direction! Gosh wouldn’t it be great to have an interview done there?”
Cadance turned away from the screen and gave Sylveon a glare, who had the biggest shit eating grin on his face.
“Smooth.” Said the alicorn, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Quote:The interview will be posted on the dataverse later in the week, so mostly skipping it for now so we can move on storywise.
The interview went well, Cadance managed to put aside her rage for an hour or so to allow her smooth as silk personality to return for the questions, so she was rather pleasant to deal with. The pair left content with their experience, Ice Bear in tow.
Undyne agreed with Ice Bear to meet up with him the next day, she still had to make her pledge after all.
The couple would spend the rest of the night together. They took on whatever rides were still running that late, they drank the punch, they danced under the stars.
They both passed out next to each other in Alphy’s hotel room, content.
