It had been a few days since Rogue’s death. Dawn was still having trouble getting over it. She hadn't left her room in all that time and spent most of her time in their crying about the loss of her companion. Today, she had finally gotten out of bed and spent some time on her computer.
 
That’s when she realized she had a voicemail. It was from Kuzuru. He explained something interesting, and although she had no desire to do anything, he said she would be paid for anyone she killed out there. With a heavy sigh, she starting looking for information on how she could enlist in this competition, or whatever it was. Sign-up’s appeared to be in practically every major verse, even here in the Ashen Steppes.
 
As stupid as this Dante’s Abyss thing sounded, she respected Kuzuru as a leader and follow his orders. If he wanted her at this competition, then that’s where she would be. Shutting the computer down, she got up from the desk and began to get ready for this. She even modified her regular armor to show off the Blade’s insignia and represent them. Black armor with a face mask and a hood, the Ashen Blade’s emblem painted on the breastplate. After gathering her numerous weapons, Dawn set off for the gate to the Nexus, where the Syntech operation was supposed to be. They had her fill out some form with her information on it, which she finished as quickly as possible. Formalities were annoying.
