Creepers Have No Lines
#1
I woke up in the late morning hours of the day in a hotel room in Costa de Sol. I rolled out of bed slowly, not wanting to leave the security of my blankets, nor the warmth they provided. Eventually I stood on my feet and stared out the sliding glass door that looked out upon the ocean. I summoned a cup of gunpowder and drank it slowly, getting used to waking up.

I pulled my clothes on, and checked out of the hotel. I decided early that I would head back to Coruscant, though I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to do there yet. Yukki had mentioned something about the Empire searching for people willing to help them with their experiments, and how that would give someone some respect within the Empire. As I crossed the Nexus, I decided that I would help them with an experiment and see where it gets me.

Upon entering Coruscant, I had to go back through their scanning system, as well as give up my already empty bag to be searched, I assume to make sure that nobody was bringing in anything that could potentially be harmful to the Empire. I didn’t bother asking how they plan to stop primes from summoning weapons once actually inside of the city, as I knew it would only put suspicion on me, or get me ignored.

I found the visitors center just inside of the city. Inside were a few pamphlets about different ways people could help the Empire if they wanted to. Most were aimed at secondaries, but a few were geared more towards primes. In particular, two pamphlets stuck out. One was about joining the Empire Peace Division (EPD), and the other was about Empire Research and Development requesting primes to be used in experiments to help better the Empire. Extremely useful was the location of their headquarters on the back of the pamphlet, which allowed me to take a taxi to the building.

I entered the building, and told the lady at the front that I was looking to be involved in an experiment. Upon telling her I was a prime, she told me to sit in a waiting room while she called some scientists upstairs. After about half an hour or so, it was hard to tell with the lack of windows in the building, an assistant came and got me, and lead me upstairs to a decontamination room.

I was told to enter the room and follow the instructions given to me. I heard the door shut behind me, and I was alone in the glaring white room. The room had tiles everywhere, from the ceiling to the floor. The floor had a slight decline to it, headed towards the center of the room where there was a drain. A female voice spoke up through a speaker in the corner of the room. “Please remove all outer clothing for the decontamination process.” Shakingly, I did so.

I was sprayed with water from the ceiling, and then with a thick orange liquid that covered my body completely. After another spray of water, I was hit with burning hot air until I was completely dry. I part of the wall opened, and a drawer came out. Inside of the drawer was a t-shirt and shorts, both as white as the tiles on the ceiling. I put them on, and a door in the wall, across from where I originally entered, opened to reveal a scientist with a clip board.

“Follow me.” I walked behind him as he led me through a maze of white halls. He began asking questions and filling out blanks on his clipboard. “Name?”

“Cupa”

“Prime?”

“Yes”

“Powers”

“I can summon tnt blocks, I can stun people with blinding light, and I can jump pretty high.”

He made a few notes on his clipboard. “Have you been in combat with any other primes?”

“No”

“Okay, please stand here, in the middle of this circle.” I stood on the circle. “What we’re going to do is send a number of things at you. We want you to use your tnt to destroy them all.” I nodded my understanding, and examined around the room. I was in a square room with multiple holes in the ceiling. On one wall was a mirror, and I assumed I wasn’t supposed to hit that. I summoned a lock of tnt in my hand as I waited for the enemies to appear.

I heard a loud buzzer go off, and stone dummies in the shape of humans bean dropping from the ceiling. I Began chucking blocks of tnt at them, watching them being blown to little stone bits. After a few minutes of this, metal dummies began dropping. I destroyed those as well. After a few more minutes, they started dropping metal robots that attacked me.

These took a lot more energy to defeat, and I soon found myself running low on energy, getting sluggish, and taking longer to throw my tnt. Not to mention my throw speed was slowing down as time went on.

About fifteen minutes into the experiment, A robot made of a black stone like material dropped in front of me. I pelted it with my tnt, and watched as the explosions did nothing. With the last bit of my energy, I threw everything I had at it.

I watched it all bounce off, as if it hadn;t been affected at all. I fell to one knee, and looked up at the robot hovering above me. It wound its arm back, and I watched it’s hand stay there for about five seconds before slamming its fist into my face.

And suddenly everything was black.

My eyes fluttered open to a bright light being shined in my face. Hanging from something I couldn’t see was a bright lightbulb in a lamp bowl, hanging directly above my face. I pushed it off to the side, and moved to sit up. Instantly my head was pierced with headaches and lightheadedness. My body was sore all over, as if I had been beaten once I fell unconscious. I laid back down.

Painfully, I turned my head to my left to see the area around me.  I saw a cord of some kind leading from my lower left arm into a machine that was beeping and displayed a green number on it. The number changed every second or so, but always stayed within seventy five and eighty. I tried again to sit up, and fought through the pain to do so. I turned to look to my right, and suddenly the beeping started getting faster.

A small, thin, clear tube was going into my upper arm, specifically my blood vein. An aquamarine colored liquid was being injected into my system, and I had no idea what it was doing. As soon as I moved my arm to try and unplug it, a nurse of some kind came around the corner to check up on me.

“Oh! I see you’ve regained consciousness already! This is about normal for a humanoid prime from what we’ve found out from our experiments. Your body has an incredible ability to slowly heal itself from even the worst injuries, so long as you don’t die.” The nurse sat down in a chair next to me, and told me what had happened in the experiment.

“Once you were first hit, the robot got in a few more punches at full strength before the researchers shut it down, and had you moved here, to the hospital wing. That is the cause of the bruises on your chest and arms.” I examined my arms and saw bruises on each, though they were very faint.

My attention is redrawn to the tube inside of my arm. “What is this exactly?” I placed my hand on the tube and found that it was cold to the touch. The nurse quickly grabbed my hand and took it off of the tube.

“It’s part of the experiment. Once you’re combat ready again, you’ll go back to the original room and see exactly how far we can push your limits.”  My face darkened, and her’s became a smile. “Don’t worry about that though. It’ll make you an even stronger member of the Empire, in every way.” She continued to smile at me as she stuck a needle with a clear liquid into my arm. “For now though… Just get some rest”

And for the second time since joining this experiment, the world turned black.

A few more days passed, or at least I thought it did.  It was difficult to tell the passage of time, when all I experienced was waking up, greeting a nurse who told me what my physical condition was, and being put back under into empty dreams.

At one point I woke up and found nobody around me. The tube that had been connected to my arm had disappeared, and in it’s place was a bandage that seemed to have been originally white, but now was dyed a sort of aquamarine blue color, similar to the color water you would find in an underground pond back home.

I examined the area around me, not being able to really see anything from my downed state. My head was woozy, and as soon as I moved the world started spinning. I tried to sit up, but found the task too difficult, and collapsed back into the bedding of the hospital bed. A nurse came around the corner that I could not see and told me that soon I would be able to leave.

She smiled lightly, and sent me back under into sleep, but this time, I actually saw something in my sleep. In my dream, I was sitting at the edge of the ocean back home, in minecraftia. Except… I wasn’t. Everything was made of real shapes, like what I had seen since I had arrived here. A hand touched my shoulder, and I looked up to see my old friend Andr standing next to me. She sat down next to me on the beach, but was careful not to dip her toes in the water.

“You found yourself in a brand new world, huh?” She said after a few moments of silence.

I smiled out at the setting sun. “Yeah.  It’s different than anything I’ve ever seen. It seems everything I knew is wrong.” I said choking back tears.

Andr notice this and took my head in her hands. “Now what’s wrong Cupa?”

I laughed in between my sniffs trying to hold back tears. “I miss everyone. I miss you. I miss him.” I buried my face in her chest. “I wish that you were real.”

That’s when Andr said the one set of words I never expected to hear. “Have you tried? You were summoned here, and you were told that Omnillium can create anything, right. Why not try to create me?”

I looked up at her, my vision watery through the tears. “I love you.”

She smiled at me as she faded away into blackness. “I love you too.”

My dream faded into blackness, and I was soon being woken by a doctor who told me that the experiment had gone badly, and essentially kicked me out onto the street with not even a thank you. I wandered out of the verse, and wandered back the place to where I had been created in this world.

The fountain was different now. It appeared to be a small stream made of crystal blue water that both came from and went back into the ground. I gazed into the water at my reflection.

“I’m going to find you Andr. I’m going to get you back…”

Quote:So for those of you that follow Cupa's progression, consider this quest quit. I wasn't having fun with it, so I ditched it.
