New Beginnings: Magic in Mokugakure

[Ebony]

"To be honest, it is not going to be that easy", Ebony said with a shrug. "Something I have already noticed is that apparently this Omni guy thinks everything needs to be all even and fair, as he sees it, so that no one is better than anyone else. I really do not believe that anything will help me get back to what I had before, ,and to be honest, I horribly miss those that got left behind when I was summoned here. Perhaps at some point I will be able to bring them here to where I am".

"The one I miss the most is Dykiri, a wolf shifter, and one who when I met her, had been horribly abused by her father, raped, tortured, almost killed multiple times. Her father had also done something that she deplored, making her a hermaphrodite, and one who it had been done to genetically. She hated it for a long time, and fought me tooth, nail and claw, though by the time I ended up here, she had more or less gotten used to having the extra parts, and was okay with them, and had become my second in command".

"Next in my affections is Ai'mithe, though in my language, she was obviously not named that, as that is translated to Mouse, which is not what a Drow Queen like her mother would name a daughter born to her and her favorite mate. However, she was taken at a very young age, only four years of age, by one who liked his females extremely young, and ended up being brought away from him and sent to me by the same one who saved my life a long time ago, Lukas. She was ultimately no good at doing anything for herself, a problem I have been working on, ,but to help her, I took her as mine, sharing my knowledge and experience with her, ,something she badly needed".

"Third was Shira, a neko, and the first one I took as mine when I was put into Lukas' universe. For the longest time, he had tried to be a paladin, but when I got to doing things with him, he broke in under a week, and even though he is fixed now, he still is not anything too much different, as anything I tell him is simply answered with a "Yes, Mistress", and is done without any question or hesitation. Maybe he simply fell in love with me. Love is something that has only come to me recently, and something I still do not really understand".

"Lastly, we have James, kind of the trouble-maker of the bunch, not that he does it intentionally, it is just that each of my people have rules they must follow, and he tends to go against them at every turn, though it is usually just that he forgets them in his rush to do what he wants. He enjoys men more than girls, and tends to forget to ask permission, much as you would have to in an animal pack, something you would understand better than Eda, Andyra. If it is outside our group, he is supposed to ask, and usually does not, something I make him regret, in the hopes of him remembering at some point. Let's just say that for him, he does not like the idea of self-mutilation of the offending parts, then I force him to use them afterwards, something that is obviously quite painful".

"In short, though, I do not believe that I will ever get to the point of having all of my powers back, ,as the powers of someone who was going to be a Drow Queen, with all the fancy powers and abilities I would have had there, as that would make me too powerful here, where a lesser being than the one where I came from rules. I will have to make do as best I can, to be honest".

[Andyra]

Whilst listening to Ebony talk of her mates back home and how she missed them all terribly, she herself immediately remembered how good ole dad wanted to pair her up with someone. He said she needed a boyfriend, but she could care less about anything of that nature. She had a goal and her goal was very simple, she would kill Adrian her birth father and become Queen of his lands. Though she couldn't say that she wasn't happy to have made friends along the way, she treasured all of them and wouldn't deny she did miss them a bit but she knew there was no point in letting it affect her here. She wasn't very good at expressing concern for others so she wasn't really the one to say anything to Ebony nor did she feel the need to. She did understand how a pack worked, even if she was only half, she still had her beast side, not to mention a dragon side within her but right now she was just squishy as a pancake and she wanted to change that. She would look like a horrible fool if she somehow figured her way out of this place and wasn't strong enough to get back home without being raped, captured or worse killed....

[Eda]

She tucked her fear away , it would do her no good to have it in a place like this . The tangled green is what the local folk called it , Eda found it a fitting name for the lush forests . Her violet hues seemed to shimmer with hope for the future , though she wanted to see other areas as well . Hopping on one foot she beamed when she spoke again , trying to motivate the pair that traveled with her .

" I want to explore all of it , this place they call the Omniverse . I want to climb the mountain in the Ashen step , Ice skate in the Frozen fields . I want to see the giant city I heard people talk about , and see Camelot . So the question is if the both of you want to join me in my goal ? " 

[Ebony]

"Well, for you, the question is if you wish to pay for my services", ,Ebony said with a snicker. "If so, sure I will help you. After all, you already owe me for the help with the orcs, ,and seeing as we went even, help for help on the death knight, that still leaves me up one on you. Well, make it two now, since I will be helping you. Know this, that I will not forget you owe me, and will come for my payment at some unspecified popint in the future. What about you there, Andyra", she asked with a snicker.

[Andyra]

Andyra just raised an eyebrow at Eda. She was clearly out of her mind. Did she honestly think it was going to be that simple? She just crossed her arms across her chest and huffed out a bit.
"So you want to risk it all just to explore? That is all? How trivial." replied Andyra. "In all honestly whether I see this whole place or not doesn't matter much to me. I only have one goal, one thing I truly desire but for now I will follow you mostly because otherwise you'll just die out there." Of course Andyra knew that spirit could aid one in times of desperation but that would only get you so far until the dragon snatched you up and gobble you whole. She couldn't believe how naive young Eda was but in a way she also understood it because she had been in Eda's shoes once. She had just been a naive young girl that thought killing her father would be like taking a walk in the park but nothing like that was ever easy no matter how much power you held or how much you knew about your opponent you never knew when a surprise would jump out and kill you.

[Eda]

" Geez both of you have no sense of adventure at all , well then Ebony think of it this way . If you get stronger you might be able to see those people who are precious to you again . You may even be able to return home some day , that would be more than enough payment would it not ? "

" Andyra you can call me whatever you would like it wont phase me , your own goals and mine are similar . Albiet for vastly different reasons , you want to become strong enough to defeat your father . Exploring this incredibly vast universe would give us all a chance to accomplish our goals ."

" Think of it this way I want to become stronger to prove that Omni made the right choice in bringing me to this place , however I can not do that alone . We three have seen for a fact this will not be easy , if you want to go your own ways you can though . I won't stop you in doing that , but we all know how strong things are out here . "

With all of that said she took her first step ahead of them to imply she would not back away from the challenge the tangled green presented her , she kept her head high looking up at the sky . The treeline blocked a bit of the sunlight , but not enough that its warmth missed her entirely . 

" I might be childish , naive , nubile , perhaps even stupid . However I see the journey itself as its own reward , to fight incredibly strong opponents and learn powerful magics . My dream is to become ... the strongest Eda I can be "  

[Ebony]

Ebony gave what most humans would call a golf clap, the slow, congrats to you, little girl clap that a lost of people would consider somewhat of an insult. "Come talk to me when your very walk calls upon nature itself", she said with a shrug. "When you can make ice, fire, water, lightning or wind herald your arrival. When you can simply kill someone due to the fact they simply have blood running through them, and you can control it with your powers. Or when you can reach into the void itself to do your magic, and simply with your force of will, ,make something cease to exist. Or when you can simply walk near something, and corrupt it to nothing. All those, other than the aura of corruption, were abilities I had before being forced to come here. So, as I said, come to me when you can do those things, and I will accept that you are a powerful mage. Until then, you are a human child, doing parlor tricks, with no knowledge of the true powers that you could wield with the forces you are tapping into, nor the risks if you do them wrong. I pity you when you learn the risks of what you are doing".

[Andyra]

Andyra just continued to raise an eyebrow towards Eda.
"You know nothing of my goals so don't act like we're the same, we couldn't be more opposite. You are cheerful and happy, naive and foolish and it's going to kill you." replied Andyra flatly. Of course she knew she wouldn't simply abandon either of them, whether they realized it or not, they were stuck together now and only getting split up would only further hinder their goals in the long term. If there was any possibility for her to return home then she would need to find the person who ran this realm and defeat him in battle it was her only chance of ever getting to her father's head and she was prepared to deal with anything and everything that she might have to do to get to that point.

[Eda]

" Well regardless of the both of you my mind is made up on what I am going to do , I know I might die . It terrifies me to the very bone to even entertain that thought . I also know that I am a novice mage , unworthy of even being called journeyman just yet . However I just keep getting better , I cant let fear consume me "

She took one more step ahead of them , unaware of the symbolic nature of her gesture . She was just that little bit ahead of her friends , however she had no way of knowing that . She could not be doing that on purpose , there was simply no way . 

" Besides if things get too out of hand there are others like us out here , I am sure they would love to join us too "

[Ebony]

Ebony shrugged, not really caring which of them was ahead of which other one, after all, she knew for a fact that power was not everything. A less powerful being could easily defeat one who was far stronger, especially if the weaker one was more experienced. As a matter of fact, she had seen a young dragon, a powerful being by anyone's standards, fall to a much weaker human, ,but one who had experience fighting dragons. Where you truly had to be careful was when a being was both powerful and experienced. She followed Eda as Eda began to walk, admiring the view from behind.

[Andyra]

Andyra just looked towards the distance behind her looking for any possible enemy in the surroundings and then continued onwards, following to the right side of Eda but keeping her eyes and ears in all directions. Even if things seemed quiet now that didn't mean it would last, after all she was accustomed to all sorts of threats jumping out in order to test her. Andyra didn't really get why Eda was always so cheerful and happy, when one had seen and witnessed the things she had, your perspective on things and how the world worked changed. But for now she would simply keep to herself, there was nothing wrong in someone believing in good things, even if they were rare to see.

[Eda]

Eda continued to walk just ahead of them now , her hands resting behind her head . She was far more relaxed and though she suspected where Ebony's eyes would wander , nothing was going to get under her skin right now . She would not permit such a thing , not far outside the village she seemed to stumble a bit . Face planting at the feet of one of the biggest orcs she had ever seen in her life , quickly springing to her feet with her hands up . She took a look back , not seeing either of her traveling companions . 

She quickly took a few steps back narrowly avoiding the axe it was swinging which saw a tree beside her fall to the ground , her feet firmly planted letting out an eep as she dodged strikes . 

Her traveling partners for just a moment would see her freak out and start dodging a phantom opponent , ducking and weaving strikes that simply did not exist . 

Ebony would quickly pick up on what had happened , as would the war creature that traveled with her . Of all the common traps a ninja village might be defended by , Eda had stepped right into one that managed to stick her in a powerful illusion of some kind . 

She stumbled back huffing out dodging another blow only she could see , it was almost amusing to watch her .
