My name is King Sombra. 

I used to be the Ruler of the Crystal Empire until a couple of meddling Alicorn Princesses decided they wished to stick their noses inside of my affairs. Damn you Celestia and Luna. As if that were not bad enough I didn't regain my corporeal form for nearly a thousand years. But thankfully I was able to preserve my empire in stasis with my dark magic. Of course things RARELY turn out according to plan. I should have realized that Celestia and Luna would once more attempt to prevent me from reclaiming my empire, especially when they appointed an Alicorn pretender on MY seat of power within the Crystal Empire. I'll have to make their deaths especially good for that one. Being stuck under the ice is EXTREMELY boring. Yes I'll admit. I hate being kept in 'cryostasis' by idiotic mares. 

It seems I was once again bested. Pathetic am I right? But this time the Alicorns didn't even fight me themselves. They sent a group ofREGULAR ponies to do battle with me. Two Unicorns, Two Earth Ponies and Two Pegasi to be exact. These so called 'Elements of Harmony' located the Crystal Heart and powered it up with the help of their dragon assistant. When I am strong enough I'm murdering the whole lot of them as soon as I get out from under the ice I am once more stuck under.

 

I've finally did it and dug myself OUT from the ice, no thanks to the Elements of Harmony. One of them has become an Alicorn now... I'm not facing that again. No sir. I'm finding the quickest way to leave before they rainbow blast me with both their powers and the Crystal Heart. This will be my final entry until I find a way out of here. By the way I'm 1027 and apparently immortal. I'm a master at Dark Magic and can use it to do a lot of things, including making black crystals, turning myself into a shadow... blasting beams of energy from my horn.. teleportation and growing crystals. I can even travel in shadow form as well. Did I mention I used to rule the Crystal Empire and hate Alicorns with a passion?  Oh and Dragons as well.

Nightmare Force(Ranged Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency,  300.):    

Nightmare Force involves Sombra gathering up eldritch energies around his palms or his horn when in pony mode and as the dark mists wrap around it he will shoot it off as a beam towards an enemy. It's about 1 foot in diameter. The beam itself doesn't do that much physical damage only doing low damage. Instead for the next 20 seconds or until they take a heavy damage hit they would be frozen in fear. 

This requires his full focus so he cannot use other moves while he is using this one. This move cannot be used while moving which means he's a sitting duck to any attacks. The move travels at about the speed of an arrow.  This does not prevent them from blocking or dodging,  but makes them too terrified to even think of attacking him.  This has a range of 50 feet. It also completely exhausts him when he uses Nightmare Force so he cannot use it that often, unfortunately. Anyone with a higher TEC could probably overcome this move,  or fight through it.

History: So if I’m understanding this correctly, Omni is pulling him from after he escapes the ice?

To change into a human from a pony (or vice versa, I don’t know which is the base form), you’d either need Shapeshifting or you’d need to make either of the forms an Alternate Form. There are advantages to each, so I’ll let you decide which you’d prefer.

Nightmare Force: How fast does the beam travel? What’s the range? Can this be used while moving? Does this require concentration while charging? How draining is this on his stamina/energy? Can this be used with other moves? A full 90 seconds of not being able to attack is much to long for this move, so you’ll need to decrease that considerably. Exactly how much will depend on what other downsides you want to include. Also, does that include blocking and evading/moving, or is it just attacking?

What’s the range? How draining is this on his stamina/energy?

20 seconds is much better. I'd throw in a line about those with higher TEC being able to somewhat combat the effect, though. Maybe not fully shake it off, but I mean someone with 5 TEC would be able to somewhat fight through it.
